Hosea: Chapter 1

1The wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 that came unto HoseaH1954, the sonH1121 of BeeriH0882, in the daysH3117 of UzziahH5818, JothamH3147, AhazH0271, and HezekiahH3169, kingsH4428 of JudahH3063, and in the daysH3117 of JeroboamH3379 the sonH1121 of JoashH3101, kingH4428 of IsraelH3478.

2The beginningH8462 of the wordH1696 of the LORDH3068 by HoseaH1954. And the LORDH3068 saidH0559 to HoseaH1954, GoH3212, takeH3947 unto thee a wifeH0802 of whoredomsH2183 and childrenH3206 of whoredomsH2183: for the landH0776 hath committed greatH2181 whoredomH2181, departing fromH0310 the LORDH3068. 3So he wentH3212 and tookH3947 GomerH1586 the daughterH1323 of DiblaimH1691; which conceivedH2029, and bareH3205 him a sonH1121. 4And the LORDH3068 saidH0559 unto him, CallH7121 his nameH8034 JezreelH3157; for yet a littleH4592 while , and I will avengeH6485 the bloodH1818 of JezreelH3157 upon the houseH1004 of JehuH3058, and will cause to ceaseH7673 the kingdomH4468 of the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478. 5And it shall come to pass at that dayH3117, that I will breakH7665 the bowH7198 of IsraelH3478 in the valleyH6010 of JezreelH3157.

6And she conceived againH2029, and bareH3205 a daughterH1323. And God saidH0559 unto him, CallH7121 her nameH8034 Lo-ruhamahH3819: for I will no moreH3254 have mercyH7355 upon the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478; but I will utterlyH5375 take them awayH5375. 7But I will have mercyH7355 upon the houseH1004 of JudahH3063, and will saveH3467 them by the LORDH3068 their GodH0430, and will not saveH3467 them by bowH7198, nor by swordH2719, nor by battleH4421, by horsesH5483, nor by horsemenH6571.

8Now when she had weanedH1580 Lo-ruhamahH3819, she conceivedH2029, and bareH3205 a sonH1121. 9Then saidH0559 God , CallH7121 his nameH8034 Lo-ammiH3818: for ye are not my peopleH5971, and I will not be your God .

10Yet the numberH4557 of the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 shall be as the sandH2344 of the seaH3220, which cannot be measuredH4058 nor numberedH5608; and it shall come to pass, that in the placeH4725 where it was saidH0559 unto them, Ye are not my peopleH5971, there it shall be saidH0559 unto them, Ye are the sonsH1121 of the livingH2416 GodH0410. 11Then shall the childrenH1121 of JudahH3063 and the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 be gatheredH6908 togetherH3162, and appointH7760 themselves oneH0259 headH7218, and they shall come upH5927 out of the landH0776: for greatH1419 shall be the dayH3117 of JezreelH3157.

Hosea: Chapter 2

1SayH0559 ye unto your brethrenH0251, AmmiH5971; and to your sistersH0269, Ru-hamahH7355. 2PleadH7378 with your motherH0517, pleadH7378: for she is not my wifeH0802, neither am I her husbandH0376: let her therefore put awayH5493 her whoredomsH2183 out of her sightH6440, and her adulteriesH5005 from between her breastsH7699; 3Lest I stripH6584 her nakedH6174, and setH3322 her as in the dayH3117 that she was bornH3205, and makeH7760 her as a wildernessH4057, and setH7896 her like a dryH6723 landH0776, and slayH4191 her with thirstH6772. 4And I will not have mercyH7355 upon her childrenH1121; for they be the childrenH1121 of whoredomsH2183. 5For their motherH0517 hath played the harlotH2181: she that conceivedH2029 them hath done shamefullyH3001: for she saidH0559, I will goH3212 afterH0310 my loversH0157, that giveH5414 me my breadH3899 and my waterH4325, my woolH6785 and my flaxH6593, mine oilH8081 and my drinkH8250.

6Therefore, behold, I will hedgeH7753 up thy wayH1870 with thornsH5518, and makeH1443 a wallH1447, that she shall not findH4672 her pathsH5410. 7And she shall followH7291 after her loversH0157, but she shall not overtakeH5381 them; and she shall seekH1245 them, but shall not findH4672 them: then shall she sayH0559, I will goH3212 and returnH7725 to my firstH7223 husbandH0376; for then was it betterH2896 with me than nowH6258. 8For she did not knowH3045 that I gaveH5414 her cornH1715, and wineH8492, and oilH3323, and multipliedH7235 her silverH3701 and goldH2091, which they preparedH6213 for BaalH1168. 9Therefore will I returnH7725, and take awayH3947 my cornH1715 in the timeH6256 thereof, and my wineH8492 in the seasonH4150 thereof, and will recoverH5337 my woolH6785 and my flaxH6593 given to coverH3680 her nakednessH6172. 10And now will I discoverH1540 her lewdnessH5040 in the sightH5869 of her loversH0157, and noneH0376 shall deliverH5337 her out of mine handH3027. 11I will also cause all her mirthH4885 to ceaseH7673, her feast daysH2282, her new moonsH2320, and her sabbathsH7676, and all her solemn feastsH4150. 12And I will destroyH8074 her vinesH1612 and her fig treesH8384, whereof she hath saidH0559, These are my rewardsH0866 that my loversH0157 have givenH5414 me: and I will makeH7760 them a forestH3293, and the beastsH2416 of the fieldH7704 shall eatH0398 them. 13And I will visitH6485 upon her the daysH3117 of BaalimH1168, wherein she burned incenseH6999 to them, and she deckedH5710 herself with her earringsH5141 and her jewelsH2484, and she wentH3212 afterH0310 her loversH0157, and forgatH7911 me, saithH5002 the LORDH3068.

14Therefore, behold, I will allureH6601 her, and bringH3212 her into the wildernessH4057, and speakH1696 comfortablyH3820 unto her. 15And I will giveH5414 her her vineyardsH3754 from thence, and the valleyH6010 of AchorH5911 for a doorH6607 of hopeH8615: and she shall singH6030 there, as in the daysH3117 of her youthH5271, and as in the dayH3117 when she came upH5927 out of the landH0776 of EgyptH4714. 16And it shall be at that dayH3117, saithH5002 the LORDH3068, that thou shalt callH7121 me IshiH0376; and shalt callH7121 me no more BaaliH1180. 17For I will take awayH5493 the namesH8034 of BaalimH1168 out of her mouthH6310, and they shall no more be rememberedH2142 by their nameH8034. 18And in that dayH3117 will I makeH3772 a covenantH1285 for them with the beastsH2416 of the fieldH7704, and with the fowlsH5775 of heavenH8064, and with the creeping thingsH7431 of the groundH0127: and I will breakH7665 the bowH7198 and the swordH2719 and the battleH4421 out of the earthH0776, and will make them to lie downH7901 safelyH0983. 19And I will betrothH0781 thee unto me for everH5769; yea, I will betrothH0781 thee unto me in righteousnessH6664, and in judgmentH4941, and in lovingkindnessH2617, and in merciesH7356. 20I will even betrothH0781 thee unto me in faithfulnessH0530: and thou shalt knowH3045 the LORDH3068. 21And it shall come to pass in that dayH3117, I will hearH6030, saithH5002 the LORDH3068, I will hearH6030 the heavensH8064, and they shall hearH6030 the earthH0776; 22And the earthH0776 shall hearH6030 the cornH1715, and the wineH8492, and the oilH3323; and they shall hearH6030 JezreelH3157. 23And I will sowH2232 her unto me in the earthH0776; and I will have mercyH7355 upon her that had not obtained mercyH7355; and I will sayH0559 to them which were not my peopleH5971, Thou art my peopleH5971; and they shall sayH0559, Thou art my GodH0430.

Hosea: Chapter 3

1Then saidH0559 the LORDH3068 unto me, GoH3212 yet, loveH0157 a womanH0802 belovedH0157 of her friendH7453, yet an adulteressH5003, according to the loveH0160 of the LORDH3068 toward the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, who lookH6437 to otherH0312 godsH0430, and loveH0157 flagonsH0809 of wineH6025. 2So I boughtH3739 her to me for fifteenH6240 pieces of silverH3701, and for an homerH2563 of barleyH8184, and an half homerH3963 of barleyH8184: 3And I saidH0559 unto her, Thou shalt abideH3427 for me manyH7227 daysH3117; thou shalt not play the harlotH2181, and thou shalt not beH1961 for another manH0376: so will I also be for thee. 4For the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 shall abideH3427 manyH7227 daysH3117 without a kingH4428, and without a princeH8269, and without a sacrificeH2077, and without an imageH4676, and without an ephodH0646, and without teraphimH8655: 5AfterwardH0310 shall the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 returnH7725, and seekH1245 the LORDH3068 their GodH0430, and DavidH1732 their kingH4428; and shall fearH6342 the LORDH3068 and his goodnessH2898 in the latterH0319 daysH3117.

Hosea: Chapter 4

1HearH8085 the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068, ye childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478: for the LORDH3068 hath a controversyH7379 with the inhabitantsH3427 of the landH0776, because there is no truthH0571, nor mercyH2617, nor knowledgeH1847 of GodH0430 in the landH0776. 2By swearingH0422, and lyingH3584, and killingH7523, and stealingH1589, and committing adulteryH5003, they break outH6555, and bloodH1818 touchethH5060 bloodH1818. 3Therefore shall the landH0776 mournH0056, and every one that dwellethH3427 therein shall languishH0535, with the beastsH2416 of the fieldH7704, and with the fowlsH5775 of heavenH8064; yea, the fishesH1709 of the seaH3220 also shall be taken awayH0622. 4Yet let no manH0376 striveH7378, nor reproveH3198 anotherH0376: for thy peopleH5971 are as they that striveH7378 with the priestH3548. 5Therefore shalt thou fallH3782 in the dayH3117, and the prophetH5030 also shall fallH3782 with thee in the nightH3915, and I will destroyH1820 thy motherH0517.

6My peopleH5971 are destroyedH1820 for lack of knowledgeH1847: because thou hast rejectedH3988 knowledgeH1847, I will also rejectH3988 thee, that thou shalt be no priestH3547 to me: seeing thou hast forgottenH7911 the lawH8451 of thy GodH0430, I will also forgetH7911 thy childrenH1121. 7As they were increasedH7230, so they sinnedH2398 against me: therefore will I changeH4171 their gloryH3519 into shameH7036. 8They eat upH0398 the sinH2403 of my peopleH5971, and they setH5375 their heartH5315 on their iniquityH5771. 9And there shall be, like peopleH5971, like priestH3548: and I will punishH6485 them for their waysH1870, and rewardH7725 them their doingsH4611. 10For they shall eatH0398, and not have enoughH7646: they shall commit whoredomH2181, and shall not increaseH6555: because they have left offH5800 to take heedH8104 to the LORDH3068. 11WhoredomH2184 and wineH3196 and new wineH8492 take awayH3947 the heartH3820.

12My peopleH5971 askH7592 counsel at their stocksH6086, and their staffH4731 declarethH5046 unto them: for the spiritH7307 of whoredomsH2183 hath caused them to errH8582, and they have gone a whoringH2181 from under their GodH0430. 13They sacrificeH2076 upon the topsH7218 of the mountainsH2022, and burn incenseH6999 upon the hillsH1389, under oaksH0437 and poplarsH3839 and elmsH0424, because the shadowH6738 thereof is goodH2896: therefore your daughtersH1323 shall commit whoredomH2181, and your spousesH3618 shall commit adulteryH5003. 14I will not punishH6485 your daughtersH1323 when they commit whoredomH2181, nor your spousesH3618 when they commit adulteryH5003: for themselves are separatedH6504 with whoresH2181, and they sacrificeH2076 with harlotsH6948: therefore the peopleH5971 that doth not understandH0995 shall fallH3832.

15Though thou, IsraelH3478, play the harlotH2181, yet let not JudahH3063 offendH0816; and comeH0935 not ye unto GilgalH1537, neither go ye upH5927 to Beth-avenH1007, nor swearH7650, The LORDH3068 livethH2416. 16For IsraelH3478 slideth backH5637 as a backslidingH5637 heiferH6510: now the LORDH3068 will feedH7462 them as a lambH3532 in a large placeH4800. 17 EphraimH0669 is joinedH2266 to idolsH6091: let him aloneH3240. 18Their drinkH5435 is sourH5493: they have committed whoredomH2181 continuallyH2181: her rulersH4043 with shameH7036 do loveH0157, GiveH3051 ye. 19The windH7307 hath bound her upH6887 in her wingsH3671, and they shall be ashamedH0954 because of their sacrificesH2077.

Hosea: Chapter 5

1HearH8085 ye this, O priestsH3548; and hearkenH7181, ye houseH1004 of IsraelH3478; and give ye earH0238, O houseH1004 of the kingH4428; for judgmentH4941 is toward you, because ye have been a snareH6341 on MizpahH4709, and a netH7568 spreadH6566 upon TaborH8396. 2And the revoltersH7846 are profoundH6009 to make slaughterH7819, though I have been a rebukerH4148 of them all. 3I knowH3045 EphraimH0669, and IsraelH3478 is not hidH3582 from me: for now, O EphraimH0669, thou committest whoredomH2181, and IsraelH3478 is defiledH2930. 4They will not frameH5414 their doingsH4611 to turnH7725 unto their GodH0430: for the spiritH7307 of whoredomsH2183 is in the midstH7130 of them, and they have not knownH3045 the LORDH3068. 5And the prideH1347 of IsraelH3478 doth testifyH6030 to his faceH6440: therefore shall IsraelH3478 and EphraimH0669 fallH3782 in their iniquityH5771; JudahH3063 also shall fallH3782 with them. 6They shall goH3212 with their flocksH6629 and with their herdsH1241 to seekH1245 the LORDH3068; but they shall not findH4672 him; he hath withdrawnH2502 himself from them. 7They have dealt treacherouslyH0898 against the LORDH3068: for they have begottenH3205 strangeH2114 childrenH1121: now shall a monthH2320 devourH0398 them with their portionsH2506.

8BlowH8628 ye the cornetH7782 in GibeahH1390, and the trumpetH2689 in RamahH7414: cry aloudH7321 at Beth-avenH1007, afterH0310 thee, O BenjaminH1144. 9 EphraimH0669 shall be desolateH8047 in the dayH3117 of rebukeH8433: among the tribesH7626 of IsraelH3478 have I made knownH3045 that which shall surely beH0539. 10The princesH8269 of JudahH3063 were like them that removeH5253 the boundH1366: therefore I will pour outH8210 my wrathH5678 upon them like waterH4325. 11 EphraimH0669 is oppressedH6231 and brokenH7533 in judgmentH4941, because he willinglyH2974 walkedH1980 afterH0310 the commandmentH6673. 12Therefore will I be unto EphraimH0669 as a mothH6211, and to the houseH1004 of JudahH3063 as rottennessH7538. 13When EphraimH0669 sawH7200 his sicknessH2483, and JudahH3063 saw his woundH4205, then wentH3212 EphraimH0669 to the AssyrianH0804, and sentH7971 to kingH4428 JarebH3377: yet couldH3201 he not healH7495 you, nor cureH1455 you of your woundH4205. 14For I will be unto EphraimH0669 as a lionH7826, and as a young lionH3715 to the houseH1004 of JudahH3063: I, even I, will tearH2963 and go awayH3212; I will take awayH5375, and none shall rescueH5337 him .

15I will goH3212 and returnH7725 to my placeH4725, till they acknowledge their offenceH0816, and seekH1245 my faceH6440: in their afflictionH6862 they will seek me earlyH7836.

Hosea: Chapter 6

1ComeH3212, and let us returnH7725 unto the LORDH3068: for he hath tornH2963, and he will healH7495 us; he hath smittenH5221, and he will bind us upH2280. 2After two daysH3117 will he reviveH2421 us: in the thirdH7992 dayH3117 he will raise us upH6965, and we shall liveH2421 in his sightH6440. 3Then shall we knowH3045, if we followH7291 on to knowH3045 the LORDH3068: his going forthH4161 is preparedH3559 as the morningH7837; and he shall comeH0935 unto us as the rainH1653, as the latterH4456 and former rainH3384 unto the earthH0776.

4O EphraimH0669, what shall I doH6213 unto thee? O JudahH3063, what shall I doH6213 unto thee? for your goodnessH2617 is as a morningH1242 cloudH6051, and as the earlyH7925 dewH2919 it goeth awayH1980. 5Therefore have I hewedH2672 them by the prophetsH5030; I have slainH2026 them by the wordsH0561 of my mouthH6310: and thy judgmentsH4941 are as the lightH0216 that goeth forthH3318. 6For I desiredH2654 mercyH2617, and not sacrificeH2077; and the knowledgeH1847 of GodH0430 more than burnt offeringsH5930. 7But they like menH0120 have transgressedH5674 the covenantH1285: there have they dealt treacherouslyH0898 against me. 8 GileadH1568 is a cityH7151 of them that workH6466 iniquityH0205, and is pollutedH6121 with bloodH1818. 9And as troopsH1416 of robbers waitH2442 for a manH0376, so the companyH2267 of priestsH3548 murderH7523 in the wayH1870 by consentH7926: for they commitH6213 lewdnessH2154. 10I have seenH7200 an horrible thingH8186 in the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478: there is the whoredomH2184 of EphraimH0669, IsraelH3478 is defiledH2930. 11Also, O JudahH3063, he hath setH7896 an harvestH7105 for thee, when I returnedH7725 the captivityH7622 of my peopleH5971.

Hosea: Chapter 7

1When I would have healedH7495 IsraelH3478, then the iniquityH5771 of EphraimH0669 was discoveredH1540, and the wickednessH7451 of SamariaH8111: for they commitH6466 falsehoodH8267; and the thiefH1590 cometh inH0935, and the troopH1416 of robbers spoilethH6584 withoutH2351. 2And they considerH0559 not in their heartsH3824 that I rememberH2142 all their wickednessH7451: now their own doingsH4611 have beset them aboutH5437; they are before my faceH6440. 3They make the kingH4428 gladH8055 with their wickednessH7451, and the princesH8269 with their liesH3585. 4They are all adulterersH5003, as an ovenH8574 heatedH1197 by the bakerH0644, who ceasethH7673 from raisingH5782 after he hath kneadedH3888 the doughH1217, until it be leavenedH2556. 5In the dayH3117 of our kingH4428 the princesH8269 have made him sickH2470 with bottlesH2534 of wineH3196; he stretched outH4900 his handH3027 with scornersH3945. 6For they have made readyH7126 their heartH3820 like an ovenH8574, whiles they lie in waitH0693: their bakerH0644 sleepethH3463 all the nightH3915; in the morningH1242 it burnethH1197 as a flamingH3852 fireH0784. 7They are all hotH2552 as an ovenH8574, and have devouredH0398 their judgesH8199; all their kingsH4428 are fallenH5307: there is none among them that callethH7121 unto me.

8 EphraimH0669, he hath mixedH1101 himself among the peopleH5971; EphraimH0669 is a cakeH5692 not turnedH2015. 9StrangersH2114 have devouredH0398 his strengthH3581, and he knowethH3045 it not: yea, gray hairsH7872 are here and thereH2236 upon him, yet he knowethH3045 not. 10And the prideH1347 of IsraelH3478 testifiethH6030 to his faceH6440: and they do not returnH7725 to the LORDH3068 their GodH0430, nor seekH1245 him for all this.

11 EphraimH0669 also is like a sillyH6601 doveH3123 without heartH3820: they callH7121 to EgyptH4714, they goH1980 to AssyriaH0804. 12When they shall goH3212, I will spreadH6566 my netH7568 upon them; I will bring them downH3381 as the fowlsH5775 of the heavenH8064; I will chastiseH3256 them, as their congregationH5712 hath heardH8088. 13WoeH0188 unto them! for they have fledH5074 from me: destructionH7701 unto them! because they have transgressedH6586 against me: though I have redeemedH6299 them, yet they have spokenH1696 liesH3577 against me. 14And they have not criedH2199 unto me with their heartH3820, when they howledH3213 upon their bedsH4904: they assembleH1481 themselves for cornH1715 and wineH8492, and they rebelH5493 against me. 15Though I have boundH3256 and strengthenedH2388 their armsH2220, yet do they imagineH2803 mischiefH7451 against me. 16They returnH7725, but not to the most HighH5920: they are like a deceitfulH7423 bowH7198: their princesH8269 shall fallH5307 by the swordH2719 for the rageH2195 of their tongueH3956: thisH2097 shall be their derisionH3933 in the landH0776 of EgyptH4714.

Hosea: Chapter 8

1 Set the trumpetH7782 to thy mouthH2441. He shall come as an eagleH5404 against the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, because they have transgressedH5674 my covenantH1285, and trespassedH6586 against my lawH8451. 2 IsraelH3478 shall cryH2199 unto me, My GodH0430, we knowH3045 thee. 3 IsraelH3478 hath cast offH2186 the thing that is goodH2896: the enemyH0341 shall pursueH7291 him. 4They have set up kingsH4427, but not by me: they have made princesH7786, and I knewH3045 it not: of their silverH3701 and their goldH2091 have they madeH6213 them idolsH6091, that they may be cut offH3772.

5Thy calfH5695, O SamariaH8111, hath castH2186 thee off; mine angerH0639 is kindledH2734 against them: how long will it be ereH3808 they attainH3201 to innocencyH5356? 6For from IsraelH3478 was it also: the workmanH2796 madeH6213 it; therefore it is not GodH0430: but the calfH5695 of SamariaH8111 shall be broken in piecesH7616. 7For they have sownH2232 the windH7307, and they shall reapH7114 the whirlwindH5492: it hath no stalkH7054: the budH6780 shall yieldH6213 no mealH7058: ifH0194 so be it yieldH6213, the strangersH2114 shall swallow it upH1104.

8 IsraelH3478 is swallowed upH1104: now shall they be among the GentilesH1471 as a vesselH3627 wherein is no pleasureH2656. 9For they are gone upH5927 to AssyriaH0804, a wild assH6501 aloneH0909 by himself: EphraimH0669 hath hiredH8566 loversH0158. 10Yea, though they have hiredH8566 among the nationsH1471, now will I gatherH6908 them, and they shall sorrowH2490 a littleH4592 for the burdenH4853 of the kingH4428 of princesH8269. 11Because EphraimH0669 hath made manyH7235 altarsH4196 to sinH2398, altarsH4196 shall be unto him to sinH2398. 12I have writtenH3789 to him the great thingsH7230 of my lawH8451, but they were countedH2803 as a strange thingH2114. 13They sacrificeH2076 fleshH1320 for the sacrificesH2077 of mine offeringsH1890, and eatH0398 it; but the LORDH3068 acceptethH7521 them not; now will he rememberH2142 their iniquityH5771, and visitH6485 their sinsH2403: they shall returnH7725 to EgyptH4714. 14For IsraelH3478 hath forgottenH7911 his MakerH6213, and buildethH1129 templesH1964; and JudahH3063 hath multipliedH7235 fencedH1219 citiesH5892: but I will sendH7971 a fireH0784 upon his citiesH5892, and it shall devourH0398 the palacesH0759 thereof.

Hosea: Chapter 9

1RejoiceH8055 not, O IsraelH3478, for joyH1524, as other peopleH5971: for thou hast gone a whoringH2181 from thy GodH0430, thou hast lovedH0157 a rewardH0868 upon every cornfloorH1637. 2The floorH1637 and the winepressH3342 shall not feedH7462 them, and the new wineH8492 shall failH3584 in her. 3They shall not dwellH3427 in the LORDsH3068 landH0776; but EphraimH0669 shall returnH7725 to EgyptH4714, and they shall eatH0398 uncleanH2931 things in AssyriaH0804. 4They shall not offerH5258 wineH3196 offerings to the LORDH3068, neither shall they be pleasingH6149 unto him: their sacrificesH2077 shall be unto them as the breadH3899 of mournersH0205; all that eatH0398 thereof shall be pollutedH2930: for their breadH3899 for their soulH5315 shall not comeH0935 into the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068. 5What will ye doH6213 in the solemnH4150 dayH3117, and in the dayH3117 of the feastH2282 of the LORDH3068? 6For, lo, they are goneH1980 because of destructionH7701: EgyptH4714 shall gather them upH6908, MemphisH4644 shall buryH6912 them: the pleasantH4261 places for their silverH3701, nettlesH7057 shall possessH3423 them: thornsH2336 shall be in their tabernaclesH0168.

7The daysH3117 of visitationH6486 are comeH0935, the daysH3117 of recompenceH7966 are comeH0935; IsraelH3478 shall knowH3045 it: the prophetH5030 is a foolH0191, the spiritualH7307 manH0376 is madH7696, for the multitudeH7230 of thine iniquityH5771, and the greatH7227 hatredH4895. 8The watchmanH6822 of EphraimH0669 was with my GodH0430: but the prophetH5030 is a snareH6341 of a fowlerH3352 in all his waysH1870, and hatredH4895 in the houseH1004 of his GodH0430. 9They have deeplyH6009 corruptedH7843 themselves , as in the daysH3117 of GibeahH1390: therefore he will rememberH2142 their iniquityH5771, he will visitH6485 their sinsH2403. 10I foundH4672 IsraelH3478 like grapesH6025 in the wildernessH4057; I sawH7200 your fathersH0001 as the firstripeH1063 in the fig treeH8384 at her first timeH7225: but they wentH0935 to Baal-peorH1187, and separatedH5144 themselves unto that shameH1322; and their abominationsH8251 were according as they lovedH0157.

11 As for EphraimH0669, their gloryH3519 shall fly awayH5774 like a birdH5775, from the birthH3205, and from the wombH0990, and from the conceptionH2032. 12Though they bring upH1431 their childrenH1121, yet will I bereaveH7921 them, that there shall not be a manH0120 left: yea, woeH0188 also to them when I departH5493 from them! 13 EphraimH0669, as I sawH7200 TyrusH6865, is plantedH8362 in a pleasant placeH5116: but EphraimH0669 shall bring forthH3318 his childrenH1121 to the murdererH2026. 14GiveH5414 them, O LORDH3068: what wilt thou giveH5414? giveH5414 them a miscarryingH7921 wombH7358 and dryH6784 breastsH7699. 15All their wickednessH7451 is in GilgalH1537: for there I hatedH8130 them: for the wickednessH7455 of their doingsH4611 I will drive them outH1644 of mine houseH1004, I will loveH0160 them no moreH3254: all their princesH8269 are revoltersH5637. 16 EphraimH0669 is smittenH5221, their rootH8328 is dried upH3001, they shall bearH6213 no fruitH6529: yea, though they bring forthH3205, yet will I slayH4191 even the belovedH4261 fruit of their wombH0990. 17My GodH0430 will cast them awayH3988, because they did not hearkenH8085 unto him: and they shall be wanderersH5074 among the nationsH1471.

Hosea: Chapter 10

1 IsraelH3478 is an emptyH1238 vineH1612, he bringeth forthH7737 fruitH6529 unto himself: according to the multitudeH7230 of his fruitH6529 he hath increasedH7235 the altarsH4196; according to the goodnessH2896 of his landH0776 they have made goodlyH2895 imagesH4676. 2Their heartH3820 is dividedH2505; now shall they be found faultyH0816: he shall break downH6202 their altarsH4196, he shall spoilH7703 their imagesH4676. 3For now they shall sayH0559, We have no kingH4428, because we fearedH3372 not the LORDH3068; what then should a kingH4428 doH6213 to us? 4They have spokenH1696 wordsH1697, swearingH0422 falselyH7723 in makingH3772 a covenantH1285: thus judgmentH4941 springeth upH6524 as hemlockH7219 in the furrowsH8525 of the fieldH7704. 5The inhabitantsH7934 of SamariaH8111 shall fearH1481 because of the calvesH5697 of Beth-avenH1007: for the peopleH5971 thereof shall mournH0056 over it, and the priestsH3649 thereof that rejoicedH1523 on it, for the gloryH3519 thereof, because it is departedH1540 from it. 6It shall be also carriedH2986 unto AssyriaH0804 for a presentH4503 to kingH4428 JarebH3377: EphraimH0669 shall receiveH3947 shameH1317, and IsraelH3478 shall be ashamedH0954 of his own counselH6098. 7 As for SamariaH8111, her kingH4428 is cut offH1820 as the foamH7110 uponH6440 the waterH4325. 8The high placesH1116 also of AvenH0206, the sinH2403 of IsraelH3478, shall be destroyedH8045: the thornH6975 and the thistleH1863 shall come upH5927 on their altarsH4196; and they shall sayH0559 to the mountainsH2022, CoverH3680 us; and to the hillsH1389, FallH5307 on us.

9O IsraelH3478, thou hast sinnedH2398 from the daysH3117 of GibeahH1390: there they stoodH5975: the battleH4421 in GibeahH1390 against the childrenH1121 of iniquityH5932 did not overtakeH5381 them. 10 It is in my desireH0185 that I should chastiseH3256 them; and the peopleH5971 shall be gatheredH0622 against them, when they shall bindH0631 themselves in their twoH8147 furrowsH5869. 11And EphraimH0669 is as an heiferH5697 that is taughtH3925, and lovethH0157 to tread outH1758 the corn; but I passed overH5674 upon her fairH2898 neckH6677: I will make EphraimH0669 to rideH7392; JudahH3063 shall plowH2790, and JacobH3290 shall break his clodsH7702. 12SowH2232 to yourselves in righteousnessH6666, reapH7114 inH6310 mercyH2617; break upH5214 your fallow groundH5215: for it is timeH6256 to seekH1875 the LORDH3068, till he comeH0935 and rainH3384 righteousnessH6664 upon you. 13Ye have plowedH2790 wickednessH7562, ye have reapedH7114 iniquityH5766; ye have eatenH0398 the fruitH6529 of liesH3585: because thou didst trustH0982 in thy wayH1870, in the multitudeH7230 of thy mighty menH1368. 14Therefore shall a tumultH7588 ariseH6965 among thy peopleH5971, and all thy fortressesH4013 shall be spoiledH7703, as ShalmanH8020 spoiledH7701 Beth-arbelH1009 in the dayH3117 of battleH4421: the motherH0517 was dashed in piecesH7376 upon her childrenH1121. 15 SoH3602 shall Beth-elH1008 doH6213 unto you becauseH6440 of your greatH7451 wickednessH7451: in a morningH7837 shall the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 utterlyH1820 be cut offH1820.

Hosea: Chapter 11

1When IsraelH3478 was a childH5288, then I lovedH0157 him, and calledH7121 my sonH1121 out of EgyptH4714. 2 As they calledH7121 them, so they wentH1980 from themH6440: they sacrificedH2076 unto BaalimH1168, and burned incenseH6999 to graven imagesH6456. 3I taughtH8637 EphraimH0669 also to goH8637, takingH3947 them by their armsH2220; but they knewH3045 not that I healedH7495 them. 4I drewH4900 them with cordsH2256 of a manH0120, with bandsH5688 of loveH0160: and I was to them as they that take offH7311 the yokeH5923 on their jawsH3895, and I laidH5186 meatH0398 unto them.

5He shall not returnH7725 into the landH0776 of EgyptH4714, but the AssyrianH0804 shall be his kingH4428, because they refusedH3985 to returnH7725. 6And the swordH2719 shall abideH2342 on his citiesH5892, and shall consumeH3615 his branchesH0905, and devourH0398 them , because of their own counselsH4156. 7And my peopleH5971 are bentH8511 to backslidingH4878 from me: though they calledH7121 them to the most HighH5920, none at allH3162 would exaltH7311 him .

8How shall I give thee upH5414, EphraimH0669? how shall I deliverH4042 thee, IsraelH3478? how shall I makeH5414 thee as AdmahH0126? how shall I setH7760 thee as ZeboimH6636? mine heartH3820 is turnedH2015 within me, my repentingsH5150 are kindledH3648 togetherH3162. 9I will not executeH6213 the fiercenessH2740 of mine angerH0639, I will not returnH7725 to destroyH7843 EphraimH0669: for I am GodH0410, and not manH0376; the Holy OneH6918 in the midstH7130 of thee: and I will not enterH0935 into the cityH5892. 10They shall walkH3212 afterH0310 the LORDH3068: he shall roarH7580 like a lionH0738: when he shall roarH7580, then the childrenH1121 shall trembleH2729 from the westH3220. 11They shall trembleH2729 as a birdH6833 out of EgyptH4714, and as a doveH3123 out of the landH0776 of AssyriaH0804: and I will placeH3427 them in their housesH1004, saithH5002 the LORDH3068. 12 EphraimH0669 compassethH5437 me about with liesH3585, and the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 with deceitH4820: but JudahH3063 yet rulethH7300 with GodH0410, and is faithfulH0539 with the saintsH6918.

Hosea: Chapter 12

1 EphraimH0669 feedethH7462 on windH7307, and followethH7291 after the east windH6921: he dailyH3117 increasethH7235 liesH3577 and desolationH7701; and they do makeH3772 a covenantH1285 with the AssyriansH0804, and oilH8081 is carriedH2986 into EgyptH4714. 2The LORDH3068 hath also a controversyH7379 with JudahH3063, and will punishH6485 JacobH3290 according to his waysH1870; according to his doingsH4611 will he recompenseH7725 him.

3He took his brotherH0251 by the heelH6117 in the wombH0990, and by his strengthH0202 he had powerH8280 with GodH0430: 4Yea, he had powerH7786 over the angelH4397, and prevailedH3201: he weptH1058, and made supplicationH2603 unto him: he foundH4672 him in Beth-elH1008, and there he spakeH1696 with us; 5Even the LORDH3068 GodH0430 of hostsH6635; the LORDH3068 is his memorialH2143. 6Therefore turnH7725 thou to thy GodH0430: keepH8104 mercyH2617 and judgmentH4941, and waitH6960 on thy GodH0430 continuallyH8548.

7 He is a merchantH3667, the balancesH3976 of deceitH4820 are in his handH3027: he lovethH0157 to oppressH6231. 8And EphraimH0669 saidH0559, Yet I am become richH6238, I have found me outH4672 substanceH0202: in all my laboursH3018 they shall findH4672 none iniquityH5771 in me that were sinH2399. 9And I that am the LORDH3068 thy GodH0430 from the landH0776 of EgyptH4714 will yet make thee to dwellH3427 in tabernaclesH0168, as in the daysH3117 of the solemn feastH4150. 10I have also spokenH1696 by the prophetsH5030, and I have multipliedH7235 visionsH2377, and used similitudesH1819, by the ministryH3027 of the prophetsH5030. 11 Is there iniquityH0205 in GileadH1568? surely they are vanityH7723: they sacrificeH2076 bullocksH7794 in GilgalH1537; yea, their altarsH4196 are as heapsH1530 in the furrowsH8525 of the fieldsH7704. 12And JacobH3290 fledH1272 into the countryH7704 of SyriaH0758, and IsraelH3478 servedH5647 for a wifeH0802, and for a wifeH0802 he keptH8104 sheep . 13And by a prophetH5030 the LORDH3068 broughtH5927 IsraelH3478 out of EgyptH4714, and by a prophetH5030 was he preservedH8104. 14 EphraimH0669 provoked him to angerH3707 most bitterlyH8563: therefore shall he leaveH5203 his bloodH1818 upon him, and his reproachH2781 shall his LordH0113 returnH7725 unto him.

Hosea: Chapter 13

1When EphraimH0669 spakeH1696 tremblingH7578, he exaltedH5375 himself in IsraelH3478; but when he offendedH0816 in BaalH1168, he diedH4191. 2And now they sinH2398 more and moreH3254, and have madeH6213 them molten imagesH4541 of their silverH3701, and idolsH6091 according to their own understandingH8394, all of it the workH4639 of the craftsmenH2796: they sayH0559 of them, Let the menH0120 that sacrificeH2076 kissH5401 the calvesH5695. 3Therefore they shall be as the morningH1242 cloudH6051, and as the earlyH7925 dewH2919 that passeth awayH1980, as the chaffH4671 that is driven with the whirlwindH5590 out of the floorH1637, and as the smokeH6227 out of the chimneyH0699. 4Yet I am the LORDH3068 thy GodH0430 from the landH0776 of EgyptH4714, and thou shalt knowH3045 no godH0430 but meH2108: for there is no saviourH3467 beside meH1115.

5I did knowH3045 thee in the wildernessH4057, in the landH0776 of great droughtH8514. 6According to their pastureH4830, so were they filledH7646; they were filledH7646, and their heartH3820 was exaltedH7311; therefore have they forgottenH7911 me. 7Therefore I will be unto them as a lionH7826: as a leopardH5246 by the wayH1870 will I observeH7789 them: 8I will meetH6298 them as a bearH1677 that is bereavedH7909 of her whelps , and will rendH7167 the caulH5458 of their heartH3820, and there will I devourH0398 them like a lionH3833: the wildH7704 beastH2416 shall tearH1234 them.

9O IsraelH3478, thou hast destroyedH7843 thyself; but in me is);"> is thine helpH5828.
10I willH0165 be thy kingH4428: whereH0645 is any other that may saveH3467 thee in all thy citiesH5892? and thy judgesH8199 of whom thou saidstH0559, GiveH5414 me a kingH4428 and princesH8269? 11I gaveH5414 thee a kingH4428 in mine angerH0639, and tookH3947 him away in my wrathH5678. 12The iniquityH5771 of EphraimH0669 is bound upH6887; his sinH2403 is hidH6845. 13The sorrowsH2256 of a travailing womanH3205 shall comeH0935 upon him: he is an unwiseH2450 sonH1121; for he should not stayH5975 longH6256 in the place of the breaking forthH4866 of childrenH1121. 14I will ransomH6299 them from the powerH3027 of the graveH7585; I will redeemH1350 them from deathH4194: O deathH4194, I willH0165 be thy plaguesH1698; O graveH7585, I willH0165 be thy destructionH6987: repentanceH5164 shall be hidH5641 from mine eyesH5869.

15Though he be fruitfulH6500 among his brethrenH0251, an east windH6921 shall comeH0935, the windH7307 of the LORDH3068 shall come upH5927 from the wildernessH4057, and his springH4726 shall become dryH0954, and his fountainH4599 shall be dried upH2717: he shall spoilH8154 the treasureH0214 of all pleasantH2532 vesselsH3627. 16 SamariaH8111 shall become desolateH0816; for she hath rebelledH4784 against her GodH0430: they shall fallH5307 by the swordH2719: their infantsH5768 shall be dashed in piecesH7376, and their women with childH2030 shall be ripped upH1234.

Hosea: Chapter 14

1O IsraelH3478, returnH7725 unto the LORDH3068 thy GodH0430; for thou hast fallenH3782 by thine iniquityH5771. 2TakeH3947 with you wordsH1697, and turnH7725 to the LORDH3068: sayH0559 unto him, Take awayH5375 all iniquityH5771, and receiveH3947 us graciouslyH2896: so will we renderH7999 the calvesH6499 of our lipsH8193. 3AsshurH0804 shall not saveH3467 us; we will not rideH7392 upon horsesH5483: neither will we sayH0559 any more to the workH4639 of our handsH3027, Ye are our godsH0430: for in thee the fatherlessH3490 findeth mercyH7355.

4I will healH7495 their backslidingH4878, I will loveH0157 them freelyH5071: for mine angerH0639 is turned awayH7725 from him. 5I will be as the dewH2919 unto IsraelH3478: he shall growH6524 as the lilyH7799, and cast forthH5221 his rootsH8328 as LebanonH3844. 6His branchesH3127 shall spreadH3212, and his beautyH1935 shall be as the olive treeH2132, and his smellH7381 as LebanonH3844. 7They that dwellH3427 under his shadowH6738 shall returnH7725; they shall reviveH2421 as the cornH1715, and growH6524 as the vineH1612: the scentH2143 thereof shall be as the wineH3196 of LebanonH3844.

8 EphraimH0669 shall say , What have I to do any more with idolsH6091? I have heardH6030 him , and observedH7789 him: I am like a greenH7488 fir treeH1265. From me is thy fruitH6529 foundH4672. 9Who is wiseH2450, and he shall understandH0995 these things ? prudentH0995, and he shall knowH3045 them? for the waysH1870 of the LORDH3068 are rightH3477, and the justH6662 shall walkH3212 in them: but the transgressorsH6586 shall fallH3782 therein.
