Daniel: Chapter 1

1In the thirdH7969 yearH8141 of the reignH4438 of JehoiakimH3079 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 cameH0935 NebuchadnezzarH5019 kingH4428 of BabylonH0894 unto JerusalemH3389, and besiegedH6696 it. 2And the LordH0136 gaveH5414 JehoiakimH3079 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 into his handH3027, with partH7117 of the vesselsH3627 of the houseH1004 of GodH0430: which he carriedH0935 into the landH0776 of ShinarH8152 to the houseH1004 of his godH0430; and he broughtH0935 the vesselsH3627 into the treasureH0214 houseH1004 of his godH0430.

3And the kingH4428 spakeH0559 unto AshpenazH0828 the masterH7227 of his eunuchsH5631, that he should bringH0935 certain of the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, and of the kingsH4410 seedH2233, and of the princesH6579; 4ChildrenH3206 in whom was no blemishH3971, but wellH2896 favouredH4758, and skilfulH7919 in all wisdomH2451, and cunningH3045 in knowledgeH1847, and understandingH0995 scienceH4093, and such as had abilityH3581 in them to standH5975 in the kingsH4428 palaceH1964, and whom they might teachH3925 the learningH5612 and the tongueH3956 of the ChaldeansH3778. 5And the kingH4428 appointedH4487 them a dailyH3117 provisionH1697 of the kingsH4428 meatH6598, and of the wineH3196 which he drankH4960: so nourishingH1431 them threeH7969 yearsH8141, that at the endH7117 thereof they might standH5975 beforeH6440 the kingH4428. 6Now among these were of the childrenH1121 of JudahH3063, DanielH1840, HananiahH2608, MishaelH4332, and AzariahH5838: 7Unto whom the princeH8269 of the eunuchsH5631 gaveH7760 namesH8034: for he gaveH7760 unto DanielH1840 the name of BelteshazzarH1095; and to HananiahH2608, of ShadrachH7714; and to MishaelH4332, of MeshachH4335; and to AzariahH5838, of Abed-negoH5664.

8But DanielH1840 purposedH7760 in his heartH3820 that he would not defileH1351 himself with the portionH6598 of the kingsH4428 meatH6598, nor with the wineH3196 which he drankH4960: therefore he requestedH1245 of the princeH8269 of the eunuchsH5631 that he might not defileH1351 himself. 9Now GodH0430 had broughtH5414 DanielH1840 into favourH2617 and tender loveH7356 withH6440 the princeH8269 of the eunuchsH5631. 10And the princeH8269 of the eunuchsH5631 saidH0559 unto DanielH1840, I fearH3373 my lordH0113 the kingH4428, who hath appointedH4487 your meatH3978 and your drinkH4960: for why should he seeH7200 your facesH6440 worse likingH2196 than the childrenH3206 which are of your sortH1524? then shall ye make me endangerH2325 my headH7218 to the kingH4428. 11Then saidH0559 DanielH1840 to MelzarH4453, whom the princeH8269 of the eunuchsH5631 had setH4487 over DanielH1840, HananiahH2608, MishaelH4332, and AzariahH5838, 12ProveH5254 thy servantsH5650, I beseech thee, tenH6235 daysH3117; and let them giveH5414 us pulseH2235 to eatH0398, and waterH4325 to drinkH8354. 13Then let our countenancesH4758 be looked uponH7200 beforeH6440 thee, and the countenanceH4758 of the childrenH3206 that eatH0398 of the portionH6598 of the kingsH4428 meatH6598: and as thou seestH7200, dealH6213 with thy servantsH5650. 14So he consentedH8085 to them in this matterH1697, and provedH5254 them tenH6235 daysH3117. 15And at the endH7117 of tenH6235 daysH3117 their countenancesH4758 appearedH7200 fairerH2896 and fatterH1277 in fleshH1320 than all the childrenH3206 which did eatH0398 the portionH6598 of the kingsH4428 meatH6598. 16Thus MelzarH4453 took awayH5375 the portion of their meatH6598, and the wineH3196 that they should drinkH4960; and gaveH5414 them pulseH2235.

17As for these fourH0702 childrenH3206, GodH0430 gaveH5414 them knowledgeH4093 and skillH7919 in all learningH5612 and wisdomH2451: and DanielH1840 had understandingH0995 in all visionsH2377 and dreamsH2472. 18Now at the endH7117 of the daysH3117 that the kingH4428 had saidH0559 he should bringH0935 them in, then the princeH8269 of the eunuchsH5631 broughtH0935 them in beforeH6440 NebuchadnezzarH5019. 19And the kingH4428 communedH1696 with them; and among them all was foundH4672 none like DanielH1840, HananiahH2608, MishaelH4332, and AzariahH5838: therefore stoodH5975 they beforeH6440 the kingH4428. 20And in all mattersH1697 of wisdomH2451 and understandingH0998, that the kingH4428 enquiredH1245 of them, he foundH4672 them ten timesH6235 betterH3027 than all the magiciansH2748 and astrologersH0825 that were in all his realmH4438. 21And DanielH1840 continued even unto the firstH0259 yearH8141 of kingH4428 CyrusH3566.

Daniel: Chapter 2

1And in the secondH8147 yearH8141 of the reignH4438 of NebuchadnezzarH5019 NebuchadnezzarH5019 dreamedH2492 dreamsH2472, wherewith his spiritH7307 was troubledH6470, and his sleepH8142 brakeH1961 from him. 2Then the kingH4428 commandedH0559 to callH7121 the magiciansH2748, and the astrologersH0825, and the sorcerersH3784, and the ChaldeansH3778, for to shewH5046 the kingH4428 his dreamsH2472. So they cameH0935 and stoodH5975 beforeH6440 the kingH4428. 3And the kingH4428 saidH0559 unto them, I have dreamedH2492 a dreamH2472, and my spiritH7307 was troubledH6470 to knowH3045 the dreamH2472. 4Then spakeH1696 the ChaldeansH3778 to the kingH4428 in SyriackH0762, O kingH4430, liveH2418 for everH5957: tellH0560 thy servantsH5649 the dreamH2493, and we will shewH2324 the interpretationH6591. 5The kingH4430 answeredH6032 and saidH0560 to the ChaldeansH3779, The thingH4406 is goneH0230 from meH4481: ifH2006 ye will notH3809 make knownH3046 unto me the dreamH2493, with the interpretationH6591 thereof, ye shall be cutH5648 in piecesH1917, and your housesH1005 shall be madeH7761 a dunghillH5122. 6But ifH2006 ye shewH2324 the dreamH2493, and the interpretationH6591 thereof, ye shall receiveH6902 ofH4481 meH6925 giftsH4978 and rewardsH5023 and greatH7690 honourH3367: thereforeH3861 shewH2324 me the dreamH2493, and the interpretationH6591 thereof. 7They answeredH6032 againH8579 and saidH0560, Let the kingH4430 tellH0560 his servantsH5649 the dreamH2493, and we will shewH2324 the interpretationH6591 of it. 8The kingH4430 answeredH6032 and saidH0560, IH0576 knowH3046 ofH4481 certaintyH3330 that yeH0608 would gainH2084 the timeH5732, becauseH6903 ye seeH2370 the thingH4406 is goneH0230 fromH4481 me. 9But ifH2006 ye will notH3809 make knownH3046 unto me the dreamH2493, there is but oneH1932 decreeH1882 for you: for ye have preparedH2164 lyingH3538 and corruptH7844 wordsH4406 to speakH0560 beforeH6925 me, tillH5705 the timeH5732 be changedH8133: thereforeH3861 tellH0560 me the dreamH2493, and I shall knowH3046 thatH1768 ye can shewH2324 me the interpretationH6591 thereof.

10The ChaldeansH3779 answeredH6032 beforeH6925 the kingH4430, and saidH0560, There isH0383 notH3809 a manH0606 uponH5922 the earthH3007 that canH3202 shewH2324 the kingsH4430 matterH4406: thereforeH6903 there is noH3809 kingH4430, lordH7229, nor rulerH7990, that askedH7593 suchH1836 thingsH4406 at anyH3606 magicianH2749, or astrologerH0826, or ChaldeanH3779. 11And it is a rareH3358 thingH4406 that the kingH4430 requirethH7593, and there isH0383 noneH3809 otherH0321 that can shewH2324 it beforeH6925 the kingH4430, exceptH3861 the godsH0426, whose dwellingH4070 isH0383 notH3809 withH5974 fleshH1321. 12ForH6903 thisH1836 causeH3606 the kingH4430 was angryH1149 and veryH7690 furiousH7108, and commandedH0560 to destroyH0007 allH3606 the wiseH2445 men of BabylonH0895. 13And the decreeH1882 went forthH5312 that the wiseH2445 men should be slainH6992; and they soughtH1156 DanielH1841 and his fellowsH2269 to be slainH6992.

14ThenH0116 DanielH1841 answeredH8421 with counselH5843 and wisdomH2942 to AriochH0746 the captainH7229 ofH1768 the kingsH4430 guardH2877, which was gone forthH5312 to slayH6992 the wiseH2445 men of BabylonH0895: 15He answeredH6032 and saidH0560 to AriochH0746 the kingsH4430 captainH7990, WhyH4101 is the decreeH1882 so hastyH2685 fromH4481 the kingH4430? ThenH0116 AriochH0746 made the thingH4406 knownH3046 to DanielH1841. 16Then DanielH1841 went inH5954, and desiredH1156 ofH4481 the kingH4430 that he would giveH5415 him timeH2166, and that he would shewH2324 the kingH4430 the interpretationH6591. 17ThenH0116 DanielH1841 wentH0236 to his houseH1005, and made the thingH4406 knownH3046 to HananiahH2608, MishaelH4333, and AzariahH5839, his companionsH2269: 18That they would desireH1156 merciesH7359 ofH4481 the GodH0426 of heavenH8065 concerningH5922 thisH1836 secretH7328; that DanielH1841 and his fellowsH2269 should notH3809 perishH0007 withH5974 the restH7606 of the wiseH2445 men of BabylonH0895.

19ThenH0116 was the secretH7328 revealedH1541 unto DanielH1841 in a nightH3916 visionH2376. ThenH0116 DanielH1841 blessedH1289 the GodH0426 of heavenH8065. 20 DanielH1841 answeredH6032 and saidH0560, BlessedH1289 beH1934 the nameH8036 of GodH0426 forH4481 everH5957 and everH5705: for wisdomH2452 and mightH1370 areH1932 his: 21And he changethH8133 the timesH5732 and the seasonsH2166: he removethH5709 kingsH4430, and setteth upH6966 kingsH4430: he givethH3052 wisdomH2452 unto the wiseH2445, and knowledgeH4486 to them that knowH3046 understandingH0999: 22He revealethH1541 the deepH5994 and secret thingsH5642: he knowethH3046 whatH4101 is in the darknessH2816, and the lightH5094 dwellethH8271 with himH5974. 23IH0576 thankH3029 thee, and praiseH7624 thee, O thou GodH0426 of my fathersH0002, who hast givenH3052 me wisdomH2452 and mightH1370, and hast made knownH3046 unto me nowH3705 what we desiredH1156 of theeH4481: for thou hast now made knownH3046 unto us the kingsH4430 matterH4406.

24ThereforeH3606 DanielH1841 went inH5954 untoH5922 AriochH0746, whom the kingH4430 had ordainedH4483 to destroyH0007 the wiseH2445 men of BabylonH0895: he wentH0236 and saidH0560 thusH3652 unto him; DestroyH0007 notH0409 the wiseH2445 men of BabylonH0895: bring me inH5954 beforeH6925 the kingH4430, and I will shewH2324 unto the kingH4430 the interpretationH6591. 25ThenH0116 AriochH0746 brought inH5954 DanielH1841 beforeH6925 the kingH4430 in hasteH0927, and saidH0560 thusH3652 unto him, I have foundH7912 a manH1400 of the captivesH1123 ofH4481 JudahH3061, that will make knownH3046 unto the kingH4430 the interpretationH6591. 26The kingH4430 answeredH6032 and saidH0560 to DanielH1841, whose nameH8036 was BelteshazzarH1096, ArtH0383 thou ableH3546 to make knownH3046 unto me the dreamH2493 which I have seenH2370, and the interpretationH6591 thereof? 27 DanielH1841 answeredH6032 in the presenceH6925 of the kingH4430, and saidH0560, The secretH7328 which the kingH4430 hath demandedH7593 cannotH3202 the wiseH2445 men , the astrologersH0826, the magiciansH2749, the soothsayersH1505, shewH2324 unto the kingH4430; 28ButH1297 there isH0383 a GodH0426 in heavenH8065 that revealethH1541 secretsH7328, and maketh knownH3046 to the kingH4430 NebuchadnezzarH5020 whatH4101 shall beH1934 in the latterH0320 daysH3118. Thy dreamH2493, and the visionsH2376 of thy headH7217 uponH5922 thy bedH4903, are theseH1836; 29As for theeH0607, O kingH4430, thy thoughtsH7476 cameH5559 into thy mind uponH5922 thy bedH4903, whatH4101 should come to passH1934 hereafterH0311: and he that revealethH1541 secretsH7328 maketh knownH3046 to thee whatH4101 shall come to passH1934. 30But as for meH0576, thisH1836 secretH7328 is notH3809 revealedH1541 to me for any wisdomH2452 that I haveH0383 more thanH4481 anyH3606 livingH2417, butH3861 for their sakesH1701 thatH5922 shall make knownH3046 the interpretationH6591 to the kingH4430, and that thou mightest knowH3046 the thoughtsH7476 of thy heartH3825.

31ThouH0607, O kingH4430, sawestH1934, and beholdH0431 a greatH2298 imageH6755. ThisH1797 greatH7229 imageH6755, whose brightnessH2122 was excellentH3493, stoodH6966 beforeH6903 thee; and the formH7299 thereof was terribleH1763. 32This imagesH6755 headH7217 was of fineH2869 goldH1722, his breastH2306 and his armsH1872 of silverH3702, his bellyH4577 and his thighsH3410 of brassH5174, 33His legsH8243 of ironH6523, his feetH7271 partH4481 of ironH6523 and partH4481 of clayH2635. 34Thou sawestH2370 tillH5705 that a stoneH0069 was cut outH1505 withoutH3809 handsH3028, which smoteH4223 the imageH6755 uponH5922 his feetH7271 that were of ironH6523 and clayH2635, and brakeH1855 themH1994 to piecesH1855. 35ThenH0116 was the ironH6523, the clayH2635, the brassH5174, the silverH3702, and the goldH1722, broken to piecesH1855 togetherH2298, and becameH1934 like the chaffH5784 ofH4481 the summerH7007 threshingfloorsH0147; and the windH7308 carriedH5376 themH1994 awayH5376, thatH3606 noH3809 placeH0870 was foundH7912 for them: and the stoneH0069 that smoteH4223 the imageH6755 becameH1934 a greatH7229 mountainH2906, and filledH4391 the wholeH3606 earthH0772.

36ThisH1836 is the dreamH2493; and we will tellH0560 the interpretationH6591 thereof beforeH6925 the kingH4430. 37ThouH0607, O kingH4430, art a kingH4430 of kingsH4430: for the GodH0426 of heavenH8065 hath givenH3052 thee a kingdomH4437, powerH2632, and strengthH8632, and gloryH3367. 38And wheresoeverH3606 the childrenH1123 of menH0606 dwellH1753, the beastsH2423 of the fieldH1251 and the fowlsH5776 of the heavenH8065 hath he givenH3052 into thine handH3028, and hath made thee rulerH7981 over them allH3606. ThouH0607 art this headH7217 of goldH1722. 39And afterH0870 thee shall ariseH6966 anotherH0317 kingdomH4437 inferiorH0772 to theeH4481, and anotherH0317 thirdH8523 kingdomH4437 of brassH5174, which shall bear ruleH7981 over allH3606 the earthH0772. 40And the fourthH7244 kingdomH4437 shall beH1934 strongH8624 as ironH6523: forasmuch as ironH6523 breaketh in piecesH1855 and subduethH2827 allH3606 things: and asH6903 ironH6523 that breakethH7490 allH3606 theseH0459, shall it break in piecesH1855 and bruiseH7490. 41And whereas thou sawestH2370 the feetH7271 and toesH0677, partH4481 of pottersH6353 clayH2635, and partH4481 of ironH6523, the kingdomH4437 shall beH1934 dividedH6386; butH4481 there shall beH1934 in it ofH4481 the strengthH5326 of the ironH6523, forasmuch asH3606 thou sawestH2370 the ironH6523 mixedH6151 with miryH2917 clayH2635. 42And as the toesH0677 of the feetH7271 were partH4481 of ironH6523, and partH4481 of clayH2635, so the kingdomH4437 shall beH1934 partlyH4481 strongH8624, and partlyH4481 brokenH8406. 43And whereasH1768 thou sawestH2370 ironH6523 mixedH6151 with miryH2917 clayH2635, they shall mingle themselvesH1934 with the seedH2234 of menH0606: but they shallH1934 notH3809 cleaveH1693 oneH1836 toH5974 anotherH1836, evenH1888 as ironH6523 is notH3809 mixedH6151 with clayH2635. 44And in the daysH3118 of theseH0581 kingsH4430 shall the GodH0426 of heavenH8065 set upH6966 a kingdomH4437, which shall neverH5957 be destroyedH2255: and the kingdomH4437 shall notH3809 be leftH7662 to otherH0321 peopleH5972, but it shall break in piecesH1855 and consumeH5487 allH3606 theseH0459 kingdomsH4437, and itH1932 shall standH6966 for everH5957. 45Forasmuch asH3606 thou sawestH2370 that the stoneH0069 was cut outH1505 of the mountainH2906 withoutH3809 handsH3028, and that it brake in piecesH1855 the ironH6523, the brassH5174, the clayH2635, the silverH3702, and the goldH1722; the greatH7229 GodH0426 hath made knownH3046 to the kingH4430 whatH4101 shall come to passH1934 hereafterH0311: and the dreamH2493 is certainH3330, and the interpretationH6591 thereof sureH0540.

46ThenH0116 the kingH4430 NebuchadnezzarH5020 fellH5308 uponH5922 his faceH0600, and worshippedH5457 DanielH1841, and commandedH0560 that they should offerH5260 an oblationH4504 and sweet odoursH5208 unto him. 47The kingH4430 answeredH6032 unto DanielH1841, and saidH0560, OfH4481 a truthH7187 it is , thatH1768 your GodH0426 is a GodH0426 of godsH0426, and a LordH4756 of kingsH4430, and a revealerH1541 of secretsH7328, seeing thou couldestH3202 revealH1541 thisH1836 secretH7328. 48ThenH0116 the kingH4430 madeH7236 DanielH1841 a great manH7236, and gaveH3052 him manyH7690 greatH7260 giftsH4978, and made him rulerH7981 overH5922 the wholeH3606 provinceH4083 of BabylonH0895, and chiefH7229 of the governorsH5460 overH5922 allH3606 the wiseH2445 men of BabylonH0895. 49Then DanielH1841 requestedH1156 ofH4481 the kingH4430, and he setH4483 ShadrachH7715, MeshachH4336, and Abed-negoH5665, overH5922 the affairsH5673 of the provinceH4083 of BabylonH0895: but DanielH1841 sat in the gateH8651 of the kingH4430.

1 NebuchadnezzarH5020 the kingH4430 madeH5648 an imageH6755 of goldH1722, whose heightH7314 was threescoreH8361 cubitsH0521, and the breadthH6613 thereof sixH8353 cubitsH0521: he set it upH6966 in the plainH1236 of DuraH1757, in the provinceH4083 of BabylonH0895. 2Then NebuchadnezzarH5020 the kingH4430 sentH7972 to gather togetherH3673 the princesH0324, the governorsH5460, and the captainsH6347, the judgesH0148, the treasurersH1411, the counsellorsH1884, the sheriffsH8614, and allH3606 the rulersH7984 of the provincesH4083, to comeH0858 to the dedicationH2597 of the imageH6755 which NebuchadnezzarH5020 the kingH4430 had set upH6966. 3ThenH0116 the princesH0324, the governorsH5460, and captainsH6347, the judgesH0148, the treasurersH1411, the counsellorsH1884, the sheriffsH8614, and allH3606 the rulersH7984 of the provincesH4083, were gathered togetherH3673 unto the dedicationH2597 of the imageH6755 that NebuchadnezzarH5020 the kingH4430 had set upH6966; and they stoodH6966 beforeH6903 the imageH6755 that NebuchadnezzarH5020 had set upH6966. 4Then an heraldH3744 criedH7123 aloudH2429, To you it is commandedH0560, O peopleH5972, nationsH0524, and languagesH3961, 5 That at what timeH5732 ye hearH8086 the soundH7032 of the cornetH7162, fluteH4953, harpH7030, sackbutH5443, psalteryH6460, dulcimerH5481, and allH3606 kindsH2178 of musickH2170, ye fall downH5308 and worshipH5457 the goldenH1722 imageH6755 that NebuchadnezzarH5020 the kingH4430 hath set upH6966: 6And whosoH4479 fallethH5308 notH3809 downH5308 and worshippethH5457 shall the same hourH8160 be castH7412 into the midstH1459 of a burningH3345 fieryH5135 furnaceH0861. 7ThereforeH6903 at that timeH2166, whenH1768 allH3606 the peopleH5972 heardH8086 the soundH7032 of the cornetH7162, fluteH4953, harpH7030, sackbutH5443, psalteryH6460, and allH3606 kindsH2178 of musickH2170, allH3606 the peopleH5972, the nationsH0524, and the languagesH3961, fell downH5308 and worshippedH5457 the goldenH1722 imageH6755 that NebuchadnezzarH5020 the kingH4430 had set upH6966.

8WhereforeH6903 at thatH1836 timeH2166 certainH1400 ChaldeansH3779 came nearH7127, and accusedH7170 the JewsH3062. 9They spakeH6032 and saidH0560 to the kingH4430 NebuchadnezzarH5020, O kingH4430, liveH2418 for everH5957. 10ThouH0607, O kingH4430, hast madeH7761 a decreeH2942, that everyH3606 manH0606 that shall hearH8086 the soundH7032 of the cornetH7162, fluteH4953, harpH7030, sackbutH5443, psalteryH6460, and dulcimerH5481, and allH3606 kindsH2178 of musickH2170, shall fall downH5308 and worshipH5457 the goldenH1722 imageH6755: 11And whosoH4479 fallethH5308 notH3809 downH5308 and worshippethH5457, that he should be castH7412 into the midstH1459 of a burningH3345 fieryH5135 furnaceH0861. 12There areH0383 certainH1400 JewsH3062 whomH3487 thou hast setH4483 overH5922 the affairsH5673 of the provinceH4083 of BabylonH0895, ShadrachH7715, MeshachH4336, and Abed-negoH5665; theseH0479 menH1400, O kingH4430, haveH7761 notH3809 regardedH2942 theeH5922: they serveH6399 notH3809 thy godsH0426, norH3809 worshipH5457 the goldenH1722 imageH6755 which thou hast set upH6966.

13ThenH0116 NebuchadnezzarH5020 in his rageH7266 and furyH2528 commandedH0560 to bringH0858 ShadrachH7715, MeshachH4336, and Abed-negoH5665. ThenH0116 they broughtH0858 theseH0479 menH1400 beforeH6925 the kingH4430. 14 NebuchadnezzarH5020 spakeH6032 and saidH0560 unto them, Is it trueH6656, O ShadrachH7715, MeshachH4336, and Abed-negoH5665, do notH3809 yeH0383 serveH6399 my godsH0426, norH3809 worshipH5457 the goldenH1722 imageH6755 which I have setH6966 up? 15NowH3705 ifH2006 ye beH0383 readyH6263 that at what timeH5732 ye hearH8086 the soundH7032 of the cornetH7162, fluteH4953, harpH7030, sackbutH5443, psalteryH6460, and dulcimerH5481, and allH3606 kindsH2178 of musickH2170, ye fall downH5308 and worshipH5457 the imageH6755 which I have madeH5648; well: but ifH2006 ye worshipH5457 notH3809, ye shall be castH7412 the same hourH8160 into the midstH1459 of a burningH3345 fieryH5135 furnaceH0861; and whoH4479 is that GodH0426 that shall deliverH7804 you out ofH4481 my handsH3028? 16 ShadrachH7715, MeshachH4336, and Abed-negoH5665, answeredH6032 and saidH0560 to the kingH4430, O NebuchadnezzarH5020, weH0586 are notH3809 carefulH2818 to answerH8421 thee inH5922 thisH1836 matterH6600. 17IfH2006 it be so , our GodH0426 whom weH0586 serveH6399 isH0383 ableH3202 to deliverH7804 us fromH4481 the burningH3345 fieryH5135 furnaceH0861, andH4481 he will deliverH7804 us out ofH4481 thine handH3028, O kingH4430. 18But ifH2006 notH3809, be itH1934 knownH3046 unto thee, O kingH4430, that we willH0383 notH3809 serveH6399 thy godsH0426, norH3809 worshipH5457 the goldenH1722 imageH6755 which thou hast set upH6966.

19ThenH0116 was NebuchadnezzarH5020 fullH4391 of furyH2528, and the formH6755 of his visageH0600 was changedH8133 againstH5922 ShadrachH7715, MeshachH4336, and Abed-negoH5665: therefore he spakeH6032, and commandedH0560 that they should heatH0228 the furnaceH0861 oneH2298 seven timesH7655 moreH5922 thanH1768 it was wontH2370 to be heatedH0228. 20And he commandedH0560 the mostH2429 mightyH1401 menH1400 that were in his armyH2429 to bindH3729 ShadrachH7715, MeshachH4336, and Abed-negoH5665, and to castH7412 them into the burningH3345 fieryH5135 furnaceH0861. 21ThenH0116 theseH0479 menH1400 were boundH3729 in their coatsH5622, their hosenH6361, and their hatsH3737, and their other garmentsH3831, and were castH7412 into the midstH1459 of the burningH3345 fieryH5135 furnaceH0861. 22ThereforeH3606 becauseH4481 the kingsH4430 commandmentH4406 was urgentH2685, and the furnaceH0861 exceedingH3493 hotH0228, the flameH7631 of the fireH5135 slewH6992 thoseH0479 menH1400 that took upH5267 ShadrachH7715, MeshachH4336, and Abed-negoH5665. 23And theseH0479 threeH8532 menH1400, ShadrachH7715, MeshachH4336, and Abed-negoH5665, fell downH5308 boundH3729 into the midstH1459 of the burningH3345 fieryH5135 furnaceH0861. 24ThenH0116 NebuchadnezzarH5020 the kingH4430 was astoniedH8429, and rose upH6966 in hasteH0927, and spakeH6032, and saidH0560 unto his counsellorsH1907, Did notH3809 we castH7412 threeH8532 menH1400 boundH3729 into the midstH1459 of the fireH5135? They answeredH6032 and saidH0560 unto the kingH4430, TrueH3330, O kingH4430. 25He answeredH6032 and saidH0560, LoH1888, IH0576 seeH2370 fourH0703 menH1400 looseH8271, walkingH1981 in the midstH1459 of the fireH5135, and they haveH0383 noH3809 hurtH2257; and the formH7299 of the fourthH7244 is likeH1821 the SonH1247 of GodH0426.

26ThenH0116 NebuchadnezzarH5020 came nearH7127 to the mouthH8651 of the burningH3345 fieryH5135 furnaceH0861, and spakeH6032, and saidH0560, ShadrachH7715, MeshachH4336, and Abed-negoH5665, ye servantsH5649 of the most highH5943 GodH0426, come forthH5312, and comeH0858 hither . ThenH0116 ShadrachH7715, MeshachH4336, and Abed-negoH5665, came forthH5312 ofH4481 the midstH1459 of the fireH5135. 27And the princesH0324, governorsH5460, and captainsH6347, and the kingsH4430 counsellorsH1907, being gathered togetherH3673, sawH2370 theseH0479 menH1400, upon whose bodiesH1655 the fireH5135 had noH3809 powerH7981, norH3809 was an hairH8177 of their headH7217 singedH2761, neitherH3809 were their coatsH5622 changedH8133, norH3809 the smellH7382 of fireH5135 had passedH5709 on them.

28 Then NebuchadnezzarH5020 spakeH6032, and saidH0560, BlessedH1289 be the GodH0426 of ShadrachH7715, MeshachH4336, and Abed-negoH5665, who hath sentH7972 his angelH4398, and deliveredH7804 his servantsH5649 that trustedH7365 in himH5922, and have changedH8133 the kingsH4430 wordH4406, and yieldedH3052 their bodiesH1655, that they might notH3809 serveH6399 norH3809 worshipH5457 anyH3606 godH0426, exceptH3861 their own GodH0426. 29Therefore IH4481 makeH7761 a decreeH2942, That everyH3606 peopleH5972, nationH0524, and languageH3961, which speakH0560 any thing amissH7960 againstH5922 the GodH0426 of ShadrachH7715, MeshachH4336, and Abed-negoH5665, shall be cutH5648 in piecesH1917, and their housesH1005 shall be madeH7739 a dunghillH5122: becauseH6903 there isH0383 noH3809 otherH0321 GodH0426 that canH3202 deliverH5338 after thisH1836 sort. 30ThenH0116 the kingH4430 promotedH6744 ShadrachH7715, MeshachH4336, and Abed-negoH5665, in the provinceH4083 of BabylonH0895.

Daniel: Chapter 4

1 NebuchadnezzarH5020 the kingH4430, unto allH3606 peopleH5972, nationsH0524, and languagesH3961, that dwellH1753 in allH3606 the earthH0772; PeaceH8001 be multipliedH7680 unto you. 2I thoughtH6925 it goodH8232 to shewH2324 the signsH0852 and wondersH8540 that the highH5943 GodH0426 hath wroughtH5648 towardH5974 me. 3HowH4101 greatH7260 are his signsH0852! and howH4101 mightyH8624 are his wondersH8540! his kingdomH4437 is an everlastingH5957 kingdomH4437, and his dominionH7985 is fromH5974 generationH1859 to generationH1859.

4IH0576 NebuchadnezzarH5020 wasH1934 at restH7954 in mine houseH1005, and flourishingH7487 in my palaceH1965: 5I sawH2370 a dreamH2493 which made me afraidH1763, and the thoughtsH2031 uponH5922 my bedH4903 and the visionsH2376 of my headH7217 troubledH0927 me. 6ThereforeH4481 madeH7761 IH4481 a decreeH2942 to bringH5954 in allH3606 the wiseH2445 men of BabylonH0895 beforeH6925 me, that they might make knownH3046 unto me the interpretationH6591 of the dreamH2493. 7ThenH0116 cameH5954 in the magiciansH2749, the astrologersH0826, the ChaldeansH3779, and the soothsayersH1505: and IH0576 toldH0560 the dreamH2493 beforeH6925 them; but they did notH3809 make knownH3046 unto me the interpretationH6591 thereof.

8But atH5705 the lastH0318 DanielH1841 came inH5922 before meH6925, whose nameH8036 was BelteshazzarH1096, according to the nameH8036 of my godH0426, and in whom is the spiritH7308 of the holyH6922 godsH0426: and beforeH6925 him I toldH0560 the dreamH2493, saying , 9O BelteshazzarH1096, masterH7229 of the magiciansH2749, because IH0576 knowH3046 that the spiritH7308 of the holyH6922 godsH0426 is in thee, and noH3606 secretH7328 troublethH0598 thee, tellH0560 me the visionsH2376 of my dreamH2493 that I have seenH2370, and the interpretationH6591 thereof. 10Thus were the visionsH2376 of mine headH7217 inH5922 my bedH4903; I sawH1934, and beholdH0431 a treeH0363 in the midstH1459 of the earthH0772, and the heightH7314 thereof was greatH7690. 11The treeH0363 grewH7236, and was strongH8631, and the heightH7314 thereof reachedH4291 unto heavenH8065, and the sightH2379 thereof to the endH5491 of allH3606 the earthH0772: 12The leavesH6074 thereof were fairH8209, and the fruitH0004 thereof muchH7690, and in it was meatH4203 for allH3606: the beastsH2423 of the fieldH1251 had shadowH2927 underH8460 it, and the fowlsH6853 of the heavenH8065 dweltH1753 in the boughsH6056 thereof, and allH3606 fleshH1321 was fedH2110 of itH4481. 13I sawH1934 in the visionsH2376 of my headH7217 uponH5922 my bedH4903, and, beholdH0431, a watcherH5894 and an holy oneH6922 came downH5182 fromH4481 heavenH8065; 14He criedH7123 aloudH2429, and saidH0560 thusH3652, Hew downH1414 the treeH0363, and cut offH7113 his branchesH6056, shake offH5426 his leavesH6074, and scatterH0921 his fruitH0004: let the beastsH2423 get awayH5111 fromH4481 under itH8479, and the fowlsH6853 fromH4481 his branchesH6056: 15NeverthelessH1297 leaveH7662 the stumpH6136 of his rootsH8330 in the earthH0772, even with a bandH0613 of ironH6523 and brassH5174, in the tender grassH1883 of the fieldH1251; and let it be wetH6647 with the dewH2920 of heavenH8065, and let his portionH2508 be withH5974 the beastsH2423 in the grassH6211 of the earthH0772: 16Let his heartH3825 be changedH8133 fromH4481 mansH0606, and let a beastsH2423 heartH3825 be givenH3052 unto him; and let sevenH7655 timesH5732 passH2499 overH5922 him. 17This matterH6600 is by the decreeH1510 of the watchersH5894, and the demandH7595 by the wordH3983 of the holy onesH6922: toH5705 the intentH1701 that the livingH2417 may knowH3046 that the most HighH5943 rulethH7990 in the kingdomH4437 of menH0606, and givethH5415 it to whomsoeverH4479 he willH6634, and setteth upH6966 overH5922 it the basestH8215 of menH0606. 18ThisH1836 dreamH2493 IH0576 kingH4430 NebuchadnezzarH5020 have seenH2370. Now thouH0607, O BelteshazzarH1096, declareH0560 the interpretationH6591 thereof, forasmuch asH6903 allH3606 the wiseH2445 men of my kingdomH4437 are notH3809 ableH3202 to make knownH3046 unto me the interpretationH6591: but thouH0607 art ableH3546; for the spiritH7308 of the holyH6922 godsH0426 is in thee.

19ThenH0116 DanielH1841, whose nameH8036 was BelteshazzarH1096, was astoniedH8075 for oneH2298 hourH8160, and his thoughtsH7476 troubledH0927 him. The kingH4430 spakeH6032, and saidH0560, BelteshazzarH1096, let notH0409 the dreamH2493, or the interpretationH6591 thereof, troubleH0927 thee. BelteshazzarH1096 answeredH6032 and saidH0560, My lordH4756, the dreamH2493 be to them that hateH8131 thee, and the interpretationH6591 thereof to thine enemiesH6146. 20The treeH0363 that thou sawestH2370, which grewH7236, and was strongH8631, whose heightH7314 reachedH4291 unto the heavenH8065, and the sightH2379 thereof to allH3606 the earthH0772; 21Whose leavesH6074 were fairH8209, and the fruitH0004 thereof muchH7690, and in it was meatH4203 for allH3606; underH8460 which the beastsH2423 of the fieldH1251 dweltH1753, and upon whose branchesH6056 the fowlsH6853 of the heavenH8065 had their habitationH7932: 22It is thouH0607, O kingH4430, that art grownH7236 and become strongH8631: for thy greatnessH7238 is grownH7236, and reachethH4291 unto heavenH8065, and thy dominionH7985 to the endH5491 of the earthH0772. 23And whereas the kingH4430 sawH2370 a watcherH5894 and an holy oneH6922 coming downH5182 fromH4481 heavenH8065, and sayingH0560, HewH1414 the treeH0363 downH1414, and destroyH2255 it; yetH1297 leaveH7662 the stumpH6136 of the rootsH8330 thereof in the earthH0772, even with a bandH0613 of ironH6523 and brassH5174, in the tender grassH1883 of the fieldH1251; and let it be wetH6647 with the dewH2920 of heavenH8065, and let his portionH2508 be withH5974 the beastsH2423 of the fieldH1251, tillH5705 sevenH7655 timesH5732 passH2499 overH5922 him; 24ThisH1836 is the interpretationH6591, O kingH4430, and thisH1932 is the decreeH1510 of the most HighH5943, which is comeH4291 uponH5922 my lordH4756 the kingH4430: 25That they shall driveH2957 thee fromH4481 menH0606, and thy dwellingH4070 shall beH1934 withH5974 the beastsH2423 of the fieldH1251, and they shall make thee to eatH2939 grassH6211 as oxenH8450, and they shall wetH6647 thee with the dewH2920 of heavenH8065, and sevenH7655 timesH5732 shall passH2499 overH5922 thee, tillH5705 thou knowH3046 that the most HighH5943 rulethH7990 in the kingdomH4437 of menH0606, and givethH5415 it to whomsoeverH4479 he willH6634. 26And whereas they commandedH0560 to leaveH7662 the stumpH6136 of the treeH0363 rootsH8330; thy kingdomH4437 shall be sureH7011 unto thee, afterH4481 that thou shalt have knownH3046 that the heavensH8065 do ruleH7990. 27WhereforeH3861, O kingH4430, let my counselH4431 be acceptableH8232 unto theeH5922, and break offH6562 thy sinsH2408 by righteousnessH6665, and thine iniquitiesH5758 by shewing mercyH2604 to the poorH6033; ifH2006 it may beH1934 a lengtheningH0754 of thy tranquillityH7963.

28AllH3606 this cameH4291 uponH5922 the kingH4430 NebuchadnezzarH5020. 29At the endH7118 of twelveH8648 monthsH3393 he walkedH1934 inH5922 the palaceH1965 of the kingdomH4437 of BabylonH0895. 30The kingH4430 spakeH6032, and saidH0560, Is notH3809 thisH1932 greatH7229 BabylonH0895, that IH0576 have builtH1124 for the houseH1005 of the kingdomH4437 by the mightH8632 of my powerH2632, and for the honourH3367 of my majestyH1923? 31WhileH5751 the wordH4406 was in the kingsH4430 mouthH6433, there fellH5308 a voiceH7032 fromH4481 heavenH8065, saying , O kingH4430 NebuchadnezzarH5020, to thee it is spokenH0560; The kingdomH4437 is departedH5709 fromH4481 thee. 32And they shall driveH2957 thee fromH4481 menH0606, and thy dwellingH4070 shall be withH5974 the beastsH2423 of the fieldH1251: they shall make thee to eatH2939 grassH6211 as oxenH8450, and sevenH7655 timesH5732 shall passH2499 overH5922 thee, untilH5705 thou knowH3046 that the most HighH5943 rulethH7990 in the kingdomH4437 of menH0606, and givethH5415 it to whomsoeverH4479 he willH6634. 33The same hourH8160 was the thingH4406 fulfilledH5487 uponH5922 NebuchadnezzarH5020: and he was drivenH2957 fromH4481 menH0606, and did eatH0399 grassH6211 as oxenH8450, and his bodyH1655 was wetH6647 with the dewH2920 of heavenH8065, tillH5705 his hairsH8177 were grownH7236 like eaglesH5403 feathers , and his nailsH2953 like birdsH6853 claws .

34And at the endH7118 of the daysH3118 IH0576 NebuchadnezzarH5020 lifted upH5191 mine eyesH5870 unto heavenH8065, and mine understandingH4486 returnedH8421 unto meH5922, and I blessedH1289 the most HighH5943, and I praisedH7624 and honouredH1922 him that livethH2417 for everH5957, whose dominionH7985 is an everlastingH5957 dominionH7985, and his kingdomH4437 is fromH5974 generationH1859 to generationH1859: 35And allH3606 the inhabitantsH1753 of the earthH0772 are reputedH2804 as nothingH3809: and he doethH5648 according to his willH6634 in the armyH2429 of heavenH8065, and among the inhabitantsH1753 of the earthH0772: and noneH3809 canH0383 stayH4223 his handH3028, or sayH0560 unto him, WhatH4101 doestH5648 thou? 36At the same timeH2166 my reasonH4486 returnedH8421 unto meH5922; and for the gloryH3367 of my kingdomH4437, mine honourH1923 and brightnessH2122 returnedH8421 unto meH5922; and my counsellorsH1907 and my lordsH7261 soughtH1156 unto meH5922; and I was establishedH8627 in my kingdomH4437, and excellentH3493 majestyH7238 was addedH3255 unto me. 37NowH3705 IH0576 NebuchadnezzarH5020 praiseH7624 and extolH7313 and honourH1922 the KingH4430 of heavenH8065, allH3606 whose worksH4567 are truthH7187, and his waysH0735 judgmentH1780: and those that walkH1981 in prideH1467 he is ableH3202 to abaseH8214.

Daniel: Chapter 5

1 BelshazzarH1113 the kingH4430 madeH5648 a greatH7229 feastH3900 to a thousandH0506 of his lordsH7261, and drankH8355 wineH2562 beforeH6903 the thousandH0506. 2 BelshazzarH1113, whiles he tastedH2942 the wineH2562, commandedH0560 to bringH0858 the goldenH1722 and silverH3702 vesselsH3984 which his fatherH0002 NebuchadnezzarH5020 had takenH5312 out ofH4481 the templeH1965 which was in JerusalemH3390; that the kingH4430, and his princesH7261, his wivesH7695, and his concubinesH3904, might drinkH8355 therein. 3ThenH0116 they broughtH0858 the goldenH1722 vesselsH3984 that were takenH5312 out ofH4481 the templeH1965 of the houseH1005 of GodH0426 which was at JerusalemH3390; and the kingH4430, and his princesH7261, his wivesH7695, and his concubinesH3904, drankH8355 in them. 4They drankH8355 wineH2562, and praisedH7624 the godsH0426 of goldH1722, and of silverH3702, of brassH5174, of ironH6523, of woodH0636, and of stoneH0069.

5In the same hourH8160 came forthH5312 fingersH0677 of a mansH0606 handH3028, and wroteH3790 over againstH6903 the candlestickH5043 uponH5922 the plaisterH1528 of the wallH3797 of the kingsH4430 palaceH1965: and the kingH4430 sawH2370 the partH6447 of the handH3028 that wroteH3790. 6ThenH0116 the kingsH4430 countenanceH2122 was changedH8133, and his thoughtsH7476 troubledH0927 him, so that the jointsH7001 of his loinsH2783 were loosedH8271, and his kneesH0755 smoteH5368 oneH1668 against anotherH1668. 7The kingH4430 criedH7123 aloudH2429 to bringH5954 in the astrologersH0826, the ChaldeansH3779, and the soothsayersH1505. And the kingH4430 spakeH6032, and saidH0560 to the wiseH2445 men of BabylonH0895, WhosoeverH0606 shall readH7123 thisH1836 writingH3792, and shewH2324 me the interpretationH6591 thereof, shall be clothedH3848 with scarletH0711, and have a chainH2002 of goldH1722 aboutH5922 his neckH6676, and shall be the thirdH8523 rulerH7981 in the kingdomH4437. 8ThenH0116 cameH5954 in allH3606 the kingsH4430 wiseH2445 men: but they couldH3546 notH3809 readH7123 the writingH3792, nor make knownH3046 to the kingH4430 the interpretationH6591 thereof. 9ThenH0116 was kingH4430 BelshazzarH1113 greatlyH7690 troubledH0927, and his countenanceH2122 was changedH8133 in himH5922, and his lordsH7261 were astoniedH7672.

10 Now the queenH4433, by reasonH6903 of the wordsH4406 of the kingH4430 and his lordsH7261, cameH5954 into the banquetH4961 houseH1005: and the queenH4433 spakeH6032 and saidH0560, O kingH4430, liveH2418 for everH5957: let notH0409 thy thoughtsH7476 troubleH0927 thee, nor let thy countenanceH2122 be changedH8133: 11There isH0383 a manH1400 in thy kingdomH4437, in whom is the spiritH7308 of the holyH6922 godsH0426; and in the daysH3118 of thy fatherH0002 lightH5094 and understandingH7924 and wisdomH2452, like the wisdomH2452 of the godsH0426, was foundH7912 in him; whom the kingH4430 NebuchadnezzarH5020 thy fatherH0002, the kingH4430, I say , thy fatherH0002, madeH6966 masterH7229 of the magiciansH2749, astrologersH0826, ChaldeansH3779, and soothsayersH1505; 12Forasmuch asH6903 an excellentH3493 spiritH7308, and knowledgeH4486, and understandingH7924, interpretingH6590 of dreamsH2493, and shewingH0263 of hard sentencesH0280, and dissolvingH8271 of doubtsH7001, were foundH7912 in the same DanielH1841, whom the kingH4430 namedH7761 BelteshazzarH1096: nowH3705 let DanielH1841 be calledH7123, and he will shewH2324 the interpretationH6591. 13ThenH0116 was DanielH1841 brought inH5954 beforeH6925 the kingH4430. And the kingH4430 spakeH6032 and saidH0560 unto DanielH1841, Art thouH0607 that DanielH1841, which art ofH4481 the childrenH1123 of the captivityH1547 of JudahH3061, whom the kingH4430 my fatherH0002 broughtH0858 out ofH4481 JewryH3061? 14I have even heardH8086 of thee, that the spiritH7308 of the godsH0426 is in theeH5922, and that lightH5094 and understandingH7924 and excellentH3493 wisdomH2452 is foundH7912 in thee. 15And nowH3705 the wiseH2445 men , the astrologersH0826, have been broughtH5954 in beforeH6925 me, that they should readH7123 thisH1836 writingH3792, and make knownH3046 unto me the interpretationH6591 thereof: but they couldH3546 notH3809 shewH2324 the interpretationH6591 of the thingH4406: 16And IH0576 have heardH8086 of theeH5922, that thou canstH3202 makeH6590 interpretationsH6591, and dissolveH8271 doubtsH7001: nowH3705 ifH2006 thou canstH3202 readH7123 the writingH3792, and make knownH3046 to me the interpretationH6591 thereof, thou shalt be clothedH3848 with scarletH0711, and have a chainH2002 of goldH1722 aboutH5922 thy neckH6676, and shalt be the thirdH8531 rulerH7981 in the kingdomH4437.

17ThenH0116 DanielH1841 answeredH6032 and saidH0560 beforeH6925 the kingH4430, Let thy giftsH4978 beH1934 to thyself, and giveH3052 thy rewardsH5023 to anotherH0321; yetH1297 I will readH7123 the writingH3792 unto the kingH4430, and make knownH3046 to him the interpretationH6591. 18O thouH0607 kingH4430, the most highH5943 GodH0426 gaveH3052 NebuchadnezzarH5020 thy fatherH0002 a kingdomH4437, and majestyH7238, and gloryH3367, and honourH1923: 19And forH4481 the majestyH7238 that he gaveH3052 him, allH3606 peopleH5972, nationsH0524, and languagesH3961, trembledH1934 and fearedH1763 beforeH4481 himH6925: whom he wouldH1934 he slewH1934; and whom he wouldH1934 he kept aliveH1934; and whom he wouldH1934 he set upH1934; and whom he wouldH1934 he put downH1934. 20But when his heartH3825 was lifted upH7313, and his mindH7308 hardenedH8631 in prideH2103, he was deposedH5182 fromH4481 his kinglyH4437 throneH3764, and they tookH5709 his gloryH3367 from himH4481: 21And he was drivenH2957 fromH4481 the sonsH1123 of menH0606; and his heartH3825 was madeH7739 likeH5974 the beastsH2423, and his dwellingH4070 was with the wild assesH6167: they fedH2939 him with grassH6211 like oxenH8450, and his bodyH1655 was wetH6647 with the dewH2920 of heavenH8065; tillH5705 he knewH3046 that the most highH5943 GodH0426 ruledH7990 in the kingdomH4437 of menH0606, and that he appointethH6966 overH5922 it whomsoeverH4479 he willH6634. 22And thouH0607 his sonH1247, O BelshazzarH1113, hast notH3809 humbledH8214 thine heartH3825, thoughH6903 thou knewestH3046 allH3606 thisH1836; 23But hast lifted upH7313 thyself againstH5922 the LordH4756 of heavenH8065; and they have broughtH0858 the vesselsH3984 of his houseH1005 beforeH6925 thee, and thouH0607, and thy lordsH7261, thy wivesH7695, and thy concubinesH3904, have drunkH8355 wineH2562 in them; and thou hast praisedH7624 the godsH0426 of silverH3702, and goldH1722, of brassH5174, ironH6523, woodH0636, and stoneH0069, which seeH2370 notH3809, norH3809 hearH8086, norH3809 knowH3046: and the GodH0426 in whose handH3028 thy breathH5396 is , and whose are allH3606 thy waysH0735, hast thou notH3809 glorifiedH1922: 24ThenH0116 was the partH6447 of the handH3028 sentH7972 fromH4481 himH6925; and thisH1836 writingH3792 was writtenH7560.

25And thisH1836 is the writingH3792 that was writtenH7560, MENEH4484, MENEH4484, TEKELH8625, UPHARSINH6537. 26ThisH1836 is the interpretationH6591 of the thingH4406: MENEH4484; GodH0426 hath numberedH4483 thy kingdomH4437, and finishedH8000 it. 27TEKELH8625; Thou art weighedH8625 in the balancesH3977, and art foundH7912 wantingH2627. 28PERESH6537; Thy kingdomH4437 is dividedH6537, and givenH3052 to the MedesH4076 and PersiansH6540. 29ThenH0116 commandedH0560 BelshazzarH1113, and they clothedH3848 DanielH1841 with scarletH0711, and put a chainH2002 of goldH1722 aboutH5922 his neckH6676, and made a proclamationH3745 concerningH5922 him, that he should beH1934 the thirdH8531 rulerH7990 in the kingdomH4437.

30In that nightH3916 was BelshazzarH1113 the kingH4430 of the ChaldeansH3779 slainH6992. 31And DariusH1868 the MedianH4077 tookH6902 the kingdomH4437, being about threescoreH8361 and twoH8648 yearsH8140 oldH1247.

Daniel: Chapter 6

1It pleasedH6925 DariusH1868 to setH6966 overH5922 the kingdomH4437 an hundredH3969 and twentyH6243 princesH0324, which should beH1934 over the wholeH3606 kingdomH4437; 2And overH5924 theseH4481 threeH8532 presidentsH5632; of whomH4481 DanielH1841 was firstH2298: thatH0459 the princesH0324 mightH1934 giveH3052 accountsH2941 unto them, and the kingH4430 should haveH1934 noH3809 damageH5142. 3ThenH0116 thisH1836 DanielH1841 wasH1934 preferredH5330 aboveH5922 the presidentsH5632 and princesH0324, becauseH3606 an excellentH3493 spiritH7308 was in him; and the kingH4430 thoughtH6246 to setH6966 him overH5922 the wholeH3606 realmH4437.

4ThenH0116 the presidentsH5632 and princesH0324 soughtH1934 to findH7912 occasionH5931 against DanielH1841 concerningH6655 the kingdomH4437; butH3606 they couldH3202 findH7912 noneH3809 occasionH5931 norH3809 faultH7844; forasmuchH6903 as he was faithfulH0540, neitherH3809 was there anyH3606 errorH7960 or faultH7844 foundH7912 in himH5922. 5ThenH0116 saidH0560 theseH0479 menH1400, We shall notH3809 findH7912 anyH3606 occasionH5931 againstH5922 thisH1836 DanielH1841, exceptH3861 we findH7912 it against him concerning the lawH1882 of his GodH0426.

6ThenH0116 theseH0459 presidentsH5632 and princesH0324 assembled togetherH7284 to the kingH4430, and saidH0560 thusH3652 unto himH5922, KingH4430 DariusH1868, liveH2418 for everH5957. 7AllH3606 the presidentsH5632 of the kingdomH4437, the governorsH5460, and the princesH0324, the counsellorsH1907, and the captainsH6347, have consulted togetherH3272 to establishH6966 a royalH4430 statuteH7010, and to make a firmH8631 decreeH0633, that whosoever shall askH1156 a petitionH1159 ofH4481 anyH3606 GodH0426 or manH0606 forH5705 thirtyH8533 daysH3118, saveH3861 of theeH4481, O kingH4430, he shall be castH7412 into the denH1358 of lionsH0744. 8NowH3705, O kingH4430, establishH6966 the decreeH0633, and signH7560 the writingH3792, that it be notH3809 changedH8133, according to the lawH1882 of the MedesH4076 and PersiansH6540, which alterethH5709 notH3809. 9WhereforeH3606 kingH4430 DariusH1868 signedH7560 the writingH3792 and the decreeH0633.

10Now when DanielH1841 knewH3046 that the writingH3792 was signedH7560, he wentH5954 into his houseH1005; and his windowsH3551 being openH6606 in his chamberH5952 towardH5049 JerusalemH3390, he kneeledH1289 uponH5922 his kneesH1291 threeH8532 timesH2166 a dayH3118, and prayedH6739, and gave thanksH3029 beforeH6925 his GodH0426, asH6903 he didH1934 aforetimeH4481.

11ThenH0116 theseH0479 menH1400 assembledH7284, and foundH7912 DanielH1841 prayingH1156 and making supplicationH2604 beforeH6925 his GodH0426. 12ThenH0116 they came nearH7127, and spakeH0560 beforeH6925 the kingH4430 concerningH5922 the kingsH4430 decreeH0633; Hast thou notH3809 signedH7560 a decreeH0633, that everyH3606 manH0606 that shall askH1156 a petition ofH4481 anyH3606 GodH0426 or manH0606 withinH5705 thirtyH8533 daysH3118, saveH3861 of theeH4481, O kingH4430, shall be castH7412 into the denH1358 of lionsH0744? The kingH4430 answeredH6032 and saidH0560, The thingH4406 is trueH3330, according to the lawH1882 of the MedesH4076 and PersiansH6540, which alterethH5709 notH3809. 13ThenH0116 answeredH6032 they and saidH0560 beforeH6925 the kingH4430, That DanielH1841, which is ofH4481 the childrenH1123 of the captivityH1547 of JudahH3061, regardethH7761 notH3809 theeH5922, O kingH4430, nor the decreeH0633 that thou hast signedH7560, but makethH1156 his petitionH1159 threeH8532 timesH2166 a dayH3118. 14ThenH0116 the kingH4430, when he heardH8086 these wordsH4406, was soreH7690 displeasedH0888 with himself, and setH7761 his heartH1079 onH5922 DanielH1841 to deliverH7804 him: and he labouredH1934 tillH5705 the going downH4606 of the sunH8122 to deliverH5338 him. 15ThenH0116 theseH0479 menH1400 assembledH7284 untoH5922 the kingH4430, and saidH0560 unto the kingH4430, KnowH3046, O kingH4430, that the lawH1882 of the MedesH4076 and PersiansH6540 is , That noH3606 decreeH0633 nor statuteH7010 which the kingH4430 establishethH6966 may be changedH8133. 16ThenH0116 the kingH4430 commandedH0560, and they broughtH0858 DanielH1841, and castH7412 him into the denH1358 of lionsH0744. Now the kingH4430 spakeH6032 and saidH0560 unto DanielH1841, Thy GodH0426 whom thouH0607 servestH6399 continuallyH8411, he will deliverH7804 thee. 17And aH2298 stoneH0069 was broughtH0858, and laidH7761 uponH5922 the mouthH6433 of the denH1358; and the kingH4430 sealedH2857 it with his own signetH5824, and with the signetH5824 of his lordsH7261; that the purposeH6640 might notH3809 be changedH8133 concerning DanielH1841.

18ThenH0116 the kingH4430 wentH0236 to his palaceH1965, and passed the nightH0956 fastingH2908: neitherH3809 were instrumentsH1761 of musick broughtH5954 beforeH6925 him: and his sleepH8139 wentH5075 from himH5922. 19ThenH0116 the kingH4430 aroseH6966 very earlyH8238 in the morningH5053, and wentH0236 in hasteH0927 unto the denH1358 of lionsH0744. 20And when he cameH7127 to the denH1358, he criedH2200 with a lamentableH6088 voiceH7032 unto DanielH1841: and the kingH4430 spakeH6032 and saidH0560 to DanielH1841, O DanielH1841, servantH5649 of the livingH2417 GodH0426, is thy GodH0426, whom thou servestH6399 continuallyH8411, ableH3202 to deliverH7804 thee fromH4481 the lionsH0744? 21ThenH0116 saidH4449 DanielH1841 untoH5974 the kingH4430, O kingH4430, liveH2418 for everH5957. 22My GodH0426 hath sentH7972 his angelH4398, and hath shutH5463 the lionsH0744 mouthsH6433, that they have notH3809 hurtH2255 me: forasmuch asH3606 beforeH6925 him innocencyH2136 was foundH7912 in me; and alsoH0638 beforeH6925 thee, O kingH4430, have I doneH5648 noH3809 hurtH2248. 23ThenH0116 was the kingH4430 exceedingH7690 gladH2868 for himH5922, and commandedH0560 that they should takeH5267 DanielH1841 upH5267 out ofH4481 the denH1358. So DanielH1841 was taken upH5267 out ofH4481 the denH1358, and noH3809 mannerH3606 of hurtH2257 was foundH7912 upon him, because he believedH0540 in his GodH0426.

24And the kingH4430 commandedH0560, and they broughtH0858 thoseH0479 menH1400 which had accusedH0399 DanielH1841, and they castH7412 them into the denH1358 of lionsH0744, themH0581, their childrenH1123, and their wivesH5389; and the lionsH0744 had the masteryH5705 of them, and brakeH1855 allH3606 their bonesH1635 in piecesH1855 or everH3809 they cameH4291 at the bottomH0773 of the denH1358.

25ThenH0116 kingH4430 DariusH1868 wroteH3790 unto allH3606 peopleH5972, nationsH0524, and languagesH3961, that dwellH1753 in allH3606 the earthH0772; PeaceH8001 be multipliedH7680 unto you. 26IH4481 makeH7761 a decreeH2942, That in everyH3606 dominionH7985 of my kingdomH4437 men trembleH1934 and fearH1763 beforeH4481 the GodH0426 of DanielH1841: for he is the livingH2417 GodH0426, and stedfastH7011 for everH5957, and his kingdomH4437 that which shall notH3809 be destroyedH2255, and his dominionH7985 shall be even untoH5705 the endH5491. 27He deliverethH7804 and rescuethH5338, and he workethH5648 signsH0852 and wondersH8540 in heavenH8065 and in earthH0772, who hath deliveredH7804 DanielH1841 fromH4481 the powerH3028 of the lionsH0744. 28So thisH1836 DanielH1841 prosperedH6744 in the reignH4437 of DariusH1868, and in the reignH4437 of CyrusH3567 the PersianH6543.

Daniel: Chapter 7

1In the firstH2298 yearH8140 of BelshazzarH1113 kingH4430 of BabylonH0895 DanielH1841 hadH2370 a dreamH2493 and visionsH2376 of his headH7217 uponH5922 his bedH4903: thenH0116 he wroteH3790 the dreamH2493, and toldH0560 the sumH7217 of the mattersH4406. 2 DanielH1841 spakeH6032 and saidH0560, I sawH2370 in my visionH2376 byH5974 nightH3916, and, beholdH0718, the fourH0703 windsH7308 of the heavenH8065 stroveH1519 upon the greatH7229 seaH3221. 3And fourH0703 greatH7260 beastsH2423 came upH5559 fromH4481 the seaH3221, diverseH8133 oneH1668 fromH4481 anotherH1668. 4The firstH6933 was like a lionH0744, and had eaglesH5403 wingsH1611: I beheldH1934 tillH5705 the wingsH1611 thereof were pluckedH4804, and it was lifted upH5191 fromH4481 the earthH0772, and made standH6966 uponH5922 the feetH7271 as a manH0606, and a mansH0606 heartH3825 was givenH3052 to it. 5And beholdH0718 anotherH0317 beastH2423, a secondH8578, likeH1821 to a bearH1678, and it raised upH6966 itself on oneH2298 sideH7859, and it had threeH8532 ribsH5967 in the mouthH6433 of it betweenH0997 the teethH8128 of it: and they saidH0560 thusH3652 unto it, AriseH6966, devourH0399 muchH7690 fleshH1321. 6AfterH0870 thisH1836 I beheldH1934, and loH0718 anotherH0317, like a leopardH5245, which had uponH5922 the backH1355 of it fourH0703 wingsH1611 of a fowlH5776; the beastH2423 had also fourH0703 headsH7217; and dominionH7985 was givenH3052 to it. 7AfterH0870 thisH1836 I sawH1934 in the nightH3916 visionsH2376, and beholdH0718 a fourthH7244 beastH2423, dreadfulH1763 and terribleH0574, and strongH8624 exceedinglyH3493; and it had greatH7260 ironH6523 teethH8128: it devouredH0399 and brake in piecesH1855, and stampedH7512 the residueH7606 with the feetH7271 of it: and itH1932 was diverseH8133 fromH4481 allH3606 the beastsH2423 that were beforeH6925 it; and it had tenH6236 hornsH7162. 8I consideredH1934 the hornsH7162, and, beholdH0431, there came upH5559 amongH0997 them anotherH0317 littleH2192 hornH7162, beforeH6925 whom there were threeH8532 ofH4481 the firstH6933 hornsH7162 plucked up by the rootsH6132: and, beholdH0431, in thisH1668 hornH7162 were eyesH5870 like the eyesH5870 of manH0606, and a mouthH6433 speakingH4449 great thingsH7260.

9I beheldH1934 tillH5705 the thronesH3764 were cast downH7412, and the AncientH6268 of daysH3118 did sitH3488, whose garmentH3831 was whiteH2358 as snowH8517, and the hairH8177 of his headH7217 like the pureH5343 woolH6015: his throneH3764 was like the fieryH5135 flameH7631, and his wheelsH1535 as burningH1815 fireH5135. 10A fieryH5135 streamH5103 issuedH5047 and came forthH5312 fromH4481 beforeH6925 him: thousandH0506 thousandsH0506 ministeredH8120 unto him, and ten thousandH7240 times ten thousandH7240 stoodH6966 beforeH6925 him: the judgmentH1780 was setH3488, and the booksH5609 were openedH6606. 11I beheldH1934 thenH0116 becauseH4481 of the voiceH7032 of the greatH7260 wordsH4406 which the hornH7162 spakeH4449: I beheldH1934 even tillH5705 the beastH2423 was slainH6992, and his bodyH1655 destroyedH0007, and givenH3052 to the burningH3346 flameH0785. 12As concerning the restH7606 of the beastsH2423, they had their dominionH7985 taken awayH5709: yet their livesH2417 were prolongedH3052 forH5705 a seasonH2166 and timeH5732. 13I sawH1934 in the nightH3916 visionsH2376, and, beholdH0718, one like the SonH1247 of manH0606 cameH0858 withH5974 the cloudsH6050 of heavenH8065, and cameH4291 toH5705 the AncientH6268 of daysH3118, and they brought him nearH7127 beforeH6925 him. 14And there was givenH3052 him dominionH7985, and gloryH3367, and a kingdomH4437, that allH3606 peopleH5972, nationsH0524, and languagesH3961, should serveH6399 him: his dominionH7985 is an everlastingH5957 dominionH7985, which shall notH3809 pass awayH5709, and his kingdomH4437 that which shall notH3809 be destroyedH2255.

15IH0576 DanielH1841 was grievedH3735 in my spiritH7308 in the midstH1459 of my bodyH5085, and the visionsH2376 of my headH7217 troubledH0927 me. 16I came nearH7127 untoH5922 oneH2298 ofH4481 them that stood byH6966, and askedH1156 himH4481 the truthH3330 of allH3606 thisH1836. So he toldH0560 me, and made me knowH3046 the interpretationH6591 of the thingsH4406. 17TheseH0459 greatH7260 beastsH2423, whichH0581 are fourH0703, are fourH0703 kingsH4430, which shall ariseH6966 out ofH4481 the earthH0772. 18But the saintsH6922 of the most HighH5946 shall takeH6902 the kingdomH4437, and possessH2631 the kingdomH4437 forH5705 everH5957, even forH5705 everH5957 and everH5957. 19ThenH0116 I wouldH6634 know the truthH3321 ofH5922 the fourthH7244 beastH2423, which wasH1934 diverseH8133 fromH4481 allH3606 the others, exceedingH3493 dreadfulH1763, whose teethH8128 were of ironH6523, and his nailsH2953 of brassH5174; which devouredH0399, brake in piecesH1855, and stampedH7512 the residueH7606 with his feetH7271; 20And ofH5922 the tenH6236 hornsH7162 that were in his headH7217, and of the otherH0317 which came upH5559, and beforeH4481 whom threeH8532 fellH5308; even of that hornH7162 thatH1797 had eyesH5870, and a mouthH6433 that spakeH4449 very great thingsH7260, whose lookH2376 was moreH4481 stoutH7229 thanH4481 his fellowsH2273. 21I beheldH1934, and the sameH1797 hornH7162 madeH5648 warH7129 withH5974 the saintsH6922, and prevailedH3202 against them; 22UntilH5705 the AncientH6268 of daysH3118 cameH0858, and judgmentH1780 was givenH3052 to the saintsH6922 of the most HighH5946; and the timeH2166 cameH4291 that the saintsH6922 possessedH2631 the kingdomH4437. 23ThusH3652 he saidH0560, The fourthH7244 beastH2423 shall beH1934 the fourthH7244 kingdomH4437 upon earthH0772, which shall be diverseH8133 fromH4481 allH3606 kingdomsH4437, and shall devourH0399 the wholeH3606 earthH0772, and shall tread it downH1759, and break it in piecesH1855. 24And the tenH6236 hornsH7162 out ofH4481 this kingdomH4437 are tenH6236 kingsH4430 that shall ariseH6966: and anotherH0321 shall riseH6966 afterH0311 them; and he shall be diverseH8133 fromH4481 the firstH6933, and he shall subdueH8214 threeH8532 kingsH4430. 25And he shall speakH4449 great wordsH4406 againstH6655 the most HighH5943, and shall wear outH1080 the saintsH6922 of the most HighH5946, and thinkH5452 to changeH8133 timesH2166 and lawsH1882: and they shall be givenH3052 into his handH3028 untilH5705 a timeH5732 and timesH5732 and the dividingH6387 of timeH5732. 26But the judgmentH1780 shall sitH3488, and they shall take awayH5709 his dominionH7985, to consumeH8046 and to destroyH0007 it untoH5705 the endH5491. 27And the kingdomH4437 and dominionH7985, and the greatnessH7238 of the kingdomH4437 underH8460 the wholeH3606 heavenH8065, shall be givenH3052 to the peopleH5972 of the saintsH6922 of the most HighH5946, whose kingdomH4437 is an everlastingH5957 kingdomH4437, and allH3606 dominionsH7985 shall serveH6399 and obeyH8086 him. 28HithertoH5705 is the endH5491 of the matterH4406. As for meH0576 DanielH1841, my cogitationsH7476 muchH7690 troubledH0927 me, and my countenanceH2122 changedH8133 in meH5922: but I keptH5202 the matterH4406 in my heartH3821.

Daniel: Chapter 8

1In the thirdH7969 yearH8141 of the reignH4438 of kingH4428 BelshazzarH1112 a visionH2377 appearedH7200 unto me, even unto me DanielH1840, afterH0310 that which appearedH7200 unto me at the firstH8462. 2And I sawH7200 in a visionH2377; and it came to pass, when I sawH7200, that I was at ShushanH7800 in the palaceH1002, which is in the provinceH4082 of ElamH5867; and I sawH7200 in a visionH2377, and I was by the riverH0180 of UlaiH0195. 3Then I lifted upH5375 mine eyesH5869, and sawH7200, and, behold, there stoodH5975 beforeH6440 the riverH0180 aH0259 ramH0352 which had two hornsH7161: and the two hornsH7161 were highH1364; but oneH0259 was higherH1364 than the otherH8145, and the higherH1364 came upH5927 lastH0314. 4I sawH7200 the ramH0352 pushingH5055 westwardH3220, and northwardH6828, and southwardH5045; so that no beastsH2416 might standH5975 beforeH6440 him, neither was there any that could deliverH5337 out of his handH3027; but he didH6213 according to his willH7522, and became greatH1431. 5And as I was consideringH0995, behold, an heH5795 goatH6842 cameH0935 from the westH4628 on the faceH6440 of the whole earthH0776, and touchedH5060 not the groundH0776: and the goatH6842 had a notableH2380 hornH7161 between his eyesH5869. 6And he cameH0935 to the ramH0352 that hadH1167 two hornsH7161, which I had seenH7200 standingH5975 beforeH6440 the riverH0180, and ranH7323 unto him in the furyH2534 of his powerH3581. 7And I sawH7200 him comeH5060 close untoH0681 the ramH0352, and he was moved with cholerH4843 against him, and smoteH5221 the ramH0352, and brakeH7665 his twoH8147 hornsH7161: and there was no powerH3581 in the ramH0352 to standH5975 beforeH6440 him, but he cast him downH7993 to the groundH0776, and stampedH7429 upon him: and there was none that could deliverH5337 the ramH0352 out of his handH3027. 8Therefore the heH6842 goatH5795 waxed veryH3966 greatH1431: and when he was strongH6105, the greatH1419 hornH7161 was brokenH7665; and for it came upH5927 fourH0702 notable onesH2380 toward the fourH0702 windsH7307 of heavenH8064. 9And out of oneH0259 of them came forthH3318 a littleH4704 hornH7161, which waxed exceedingH3499 greatH1431, toward the southH5045, and toward the eastH4217, and toward the pleasantH6643 land . 10And it waxed greatH1431, even to the hostH6635 of heavenH8064; and it cast downH5307 some of the hostH6635 and of the starsH3556 to the groundH0776, and stampedH7429 upon them. 11Yea, he magnifiedH1431 himself even to the princeH8269 of the hostH6635, and by him the dailyH8548 sacrifice was taken awayH7311, and the placeH4349 of his sanctuaryH4720 was cast downH7993. 12And an hostH6635 was givenH5414 him against the dailyH8548 sacrifice by reason of transgressionH6588, and it cast downH7993 the truthH0571 to the groundH0776; and it practisedH6213, and prosperedH6743.

13Then I heardH8085 oneH0259 saintH6918 speakingH1696, and anotherH0259 saintH6918 saidH0559 unto that certainH6422 saint which spakeH1696, How long shall be the visionH2377 concerning the dailyH8548 sacrifice , and the transgressionH6588 of desolationH8074, to giveH5414 both the sanctuaryH6944 and the hostH6635 to be trodden under footH4823? 14And he saidH0559 unto me, Unto two thousandH0505 and threeH7969 hundredH3967 daysH6153; then shall the sanctuaryH6944 be cleansedH6663.

15And it came to pass, when I, even I DanielH1840, had seenH7200 the visionH2377, and soughtH1245 for the meaningH0998, then, behold, there stoodH5975 before me as the appearanceH4758 of a manH1397. 16And I heardH8085 a mansH0120 voiceH6963 between the banks of UlaiH0195, which calledH7121, and saidH0559, GabrielH1403, make thisH1975 man to understandH0995 the visionH4758. 17So he cameH0935 nearH0681 where I stoodH5977: and when he cameH0935, I was afraidH1204, and fellH5307 upon my faceH6440: but he saidH0559 unto me, UnderstandH0995, O sonH1121 of manH0120: for at the timeH6256 of the endH7093 shall be the visionH2377. 18Now as he was speakingH1696 with me, I was in a deep sleepH7290 on my faceH6440 toward the groundH0776: but he touchedH5060 me, and setH5975 me uprightH5977. 19And he saidH0559, Behold, I will make thee knowH3045 what shall be in the last endH0319 of the indignationH2195: for at the time appointedH4150 the endH7093 shall be . 20The ramH0352 which thou sawestH7200 havingH1167 two hornsH7161 are the kingsH4428 of MediaH4074 and PersiaH6539. 21And the roughH8163 goatH6842 is the kingH4428 of GreciaH3120: and the greatH1419 hornH7161 that is between his eyesH5869 is the firstH7223 kingH4428. 22Now that being brokenH7665, whereas fourH0702 stood upH5975 for it, fourH0702 kingdomsH4438 shall stand upH5975 out of the nationH1471, but not in his powerH3581. 23And in the latter timeH0319 of their kingdomH4438, when the transgressorsH6586 are come to the fullH8552, a kingH4428 of fierceH5794 countenanceH6440, and understandingH0995 dark sentencesH2420, shall stand upH5975. 24And his powerH3581 shall be mightyH6105, but not by his own powerH3581: and he shall destroyH7843 wonderfullyH6381, and shall prosperH6743, and practiseH6213, and shall destroyH7843 the mightyH6099 and the holyH6918 peopleH5971. 25And through his policyH7922 also he shall cause craftH4820 to prosperH6743 in his handH3027; and he shall magnifyH1431 himself in his heartH3824, and by peaceH7962 shall destroyH7843 manyH7227: he shall also stand upH5975 against the PrinceH8269 of princesH8269; but he shall be brokenH7665 withoutH0657 handH3027. 26And the visionH4758 of the eveningH6153 and the morningH1242 which was toldH0559 is trueH0571: wherefore shut thou upH5640 the visionH2377; for it shall be for manyH7227 daysH3117. 27And I DanielH1840 faintedH1961, and was sickH2470 certain daysH3117; afterward I rose upH6965, and didH6213 the kingsH4428 businessH4399; and I was astonishedH8074 at the visionH4758, but none understoodH0995 it .

Daniel: Chapter 9

1In the firstH0259 yearH8141 of DariusH1867 the sonH1121 of AhasuerusH0325, of the seedH2233 of the MedesH4074, which was made kingH4427 over the realmH4438 of the ChaldeansH3778; 2In the firstH0259 yearH8141 of his reignH4427 I DanielH1840 understoodH0995 by booksH5612 the numberH4557 of the yearsH8141, whereof the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 came to JeremiahH3414 the prophetH5030, that he would accomplishH4390 seventyH7657 yearsH8141 in the desolationsH2723 of JerusalemH3389.

3And I setH5414 my faceH6440 unto the LordH0136 GodH0430, to seekH1245 by prayerH8605 and supplicationsH8469, with fastingH6685, and sackclothH8242, and ashesH0665:

4And I prayedH6419 unto the LORDH3068 my GodH0430, and made my confessionH3034, and saidH0559, OH0577 LordH0136, the greatH1419 and dreadfulH3372 GodH0410, keepingH8104 the covenantH1285 and mercyH2617 to them that loveH0157 him, and to them that keepH8104 his commandmentsH4687; 5We have sinnedH2398, and have committed iniquityH5753, and have done wickedlyH7561, and have rebelledH4775, even by departingH5493 from thy preceptsH4687 and from thy judgmentsH4941: 6Neither have we hearkenedH8085 unto thy servantsH5650 the prophetsH5030, which spakeH1696 in thy nameH8034 to our kingsH4428, our princesH8269, and our fathersH0001, and to all the peopleH5971 of the landH0776. 7O LordH0136, righteousnessH6666 belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusionH1322 of facesH6440, as at this dayH3117; to the menH0376 of JudahH3063, and to the inhabitantsH3427 of JerusalemH3389, and unto all IsraelH3478, that are nearH7138, and that are far offH7350, through all the countriesH0776 whither thou hast drivenH5080 them, because of their trespassH4604 that they have trespassedH4603 against thee. 8O LordH0136, to us belongeth confusionH1322 of faceH6440, to our kingsH4428, to our princesH8269, and to our fathersH0001, because we have sinnedH2398 against thee. 9To the LordH0136 our GodH0430 belong merciesH7356 and forgivenessesH5547, though we have rebelledH4775 against him; 10Neither have we obeyedH8085 the voiceH6963 of the LORDH3068 our GodH0430, to walkH3212 in his lawsH8451, which he setH5414 beforeH6440 us byH3027 his servantsH5650 the prophetsH5030. 11Yea, all IsraelH3478 have transgressedH5674 thy lawH8451, even by departingH5493, that they might not obeyH8085 thy voiceH6963; therefore the curseH0423 is pouredH5413 upon us, and the oathH7621 that is writtenH3789 in the lawH8451 of MosesH4872 the servantH5650 of GodH0430, because we have sinnedH2398 against him. 12And he hath confirmedH6965 his wordsH1697, which he spakeH1696 against us, and against our judgesH8199 that judgedH8199 us, by bringingH0935 upon us a greatH1419 evilH7451: for under the whole heavenH8064 hath not been doneH6213 as hath been doneH6213 upon JerusalemH3389. 13As it is writtenH3789 in the lawH8451 of MosesH4872, all this evilH7451 is comeH0935 upon us: yet made we not our prayerH2470 beforeH6440 the LORDH3068 our GodH0430, that we might turnH7725 from our iniquitiesH5771, and understandH7919 thy truthH0571. 14Therefore hath the LORDH3068 watchedH8245 upon the evilH7451, and broughtH0935 it upon us: for the LORDH3068 our GodH0430 is righteousH6662 in all his worksH4639 which he doethH6213: for we obeyedH8085 not his voiceH6963. 15And now, O LordH0136 our GodH0430, that hast broughtH3318 thy peopleH5971 forthH3318 out of the landH0776 of EgyptH4714 with a mightyH2389 handH3027, and hast gottenH6213 thee renownH8034, as at this dayH3117; we have sinnedH2398, we have done wickedlyH7561.

16O LordH0136, according to all thy righteousnessH6666, I beseech thee, let thine angerH0639 and thy furyH2534 be turned awayH7725 from thy cityH5892 JerusalemH3389, thy holyH6944 mountainH2022: because for our sinsH2399, and for the iniquitiesH5771 of our fathersH0001, JerusalemH3389 and thy peopleH5971 are become a reproachH2781 to all that are aboutH5439 us. 17Now therefore, O our GodH0430, hearH8085 the prayerH8605 of thy servantH5650, and his supplicationsH8469, and cause thy faceH6440 to shineH0215 upon thy sanctuaryH4720 that is desolateH8076, for the LordsH0136 sake. 18O my GodH0430, inclineH5186 thine earH0241, and hearH8085; openH6491 thine eyesH5869, and beholdH7200 our desolationsH8074, and the cityH5892 which is calledH7121 by thy nameH8034: for we do not presentH5307 our supplicationsH8469 beforeH6440 thee for our righteousnessesH6666, but for thy greatH7227 merciesH7356. 19O LordH0136, hearH8085; O LordH0136, forgiveH5545; O LordH0136, hearkenH7181 and doH6213; deferH0309 notH0408, for thine own sake, O my GodH0430: for thy cityH5892 and thy peopleH5971 are calledH7121 by thy nameH8034.

20And whiles I was speakingH1696, and prayingH6419, and confessingH3034 my sinH2403 and the sinH2403 of my peopleH5971 IsraelH3478, and presentingH5307 my supplicationH8467 beforeH6440 the LORDH3068 my GodH0430 for the holyH6944 mountainH2022 of my GodH0430; 21Yea, whiles I was speakingH1696 in prayerH8605, even the manH0376 GabrielH1403, whom I had seenH7200 in the visionH2377 at the beginningH8462, being caused to flyH3286 swiftlyH3288, touchedH5060 me about the timeH6256 of the eveningH6153 oblationH4503. 22And he informedH0995 me , and talkedH1696 with me, and saidH0559, O DanielH1840, I am now come forthH3318 to give thee skillH7919 and understandingH0998. 23At the beginningH8462 of thy supplicationsH8469 the commandmentH1697 came forthH3318, and I am comeH0935 to shewH5046 thee; for thou art greatly belovedH2532: therefore understandH0995 the matterH1697, and considerH0995 the visionH4758. 24SeventyH7657 weeksH7620 are determinedH2852 upon thy peopleH5971 and upon thy holyH6944 cityH5892, to finishH3607 the transgressionH6588, and to make an endH8552 of sinsH2403, and to make reconciliationH3722 for iniquityH5771, and to bring inH0935 everlastingH5769 righteousnessH6664, and to seal upH2856 the visionH2377 and prophecyH5030, and to anointH4886 the mostH6944 HolyH6944. 25KnowH3045 therefore and understandH7919, that from the going forthH4161 of the commandmentH1697 to restoreH7725 and to buildH1129 JerusalemH3389 unto the MessiahH4899 the PrinceH5057 shall be sevenH7651 weeksH7620, and threescoreH8346 and twoH8147 weeksH7620: the streetH7339 shall be builtH1129 againH7725, and the wallH2742, even in troublousH6695 timesH6256. 26And afterH0310 threescoreH8346 and twoH8147 weeksH7620 shall MessiahH4899 be cut offH3772, but not for himself: and the peopleH5971 of the princeH5057 that shall comeH0935 shall destroyH7843 the cityH5892 and the sanctuaryH6944; and the endH7093 thereof shall be with a floodH7858, and unto the endH7093 of the warH4421 desolationsH8074 are determinedH2782. 27And he shall confirmH1396 the covenantH1285 with manyH7227 for oneH0259 weekH7620: and in the midstH2677 of the weekH7620 he shall cause the sacrificeH2077 and the oblationH4503 to ceaseH7673, and for the overspreadingH3671 of abominationsH8251 he shall make it desolateH8074, even until the consummationH3617, and that determinedH2782 shall be pouredH5413 upon the desolateH8074.

Daniel: Chapter 10

1In the thirdH7969 yearH8141 of CyrusH3566 kingH4428 of PersiaH6539 a thingH1697 was revealedH1540 unto DanielH1840, whose nameH8034 was calledH7121 BelteshazzarH1095; and the thingH1697 was trueH0571, but the time appointedH6635 was longH1419: and he understoodH0995 the thingH1697, and had understandingH0998 of the visionH4758. 2In those daysH3117 I DanielH1840 was mourningH0056 threeH7969 fullH3117 weeksH7620. 3I ateH0398 no pleasantH2532 breadH3899, neither cameH0935 fleshH1320 nor wineH3196 in my mouthH6310, neither did I anointH5480 myself at allH5480, till threeH7969 wholeH3117 weeksH7620 were fulfilledH4390. 4And in the fourH0702 and twentiethH6242 dayH3117 of the firstH7223 monthH2320, as I was by the sideH3027 of the greatH1419 riverH5104, which is HiddekelH2313; 5Then I lifted upH5375 mine eyesH5869, and lookedH7200, and behold a certainH0259 manH0376 clothedH3847 in linenH0906, whose loinsH4975 an class=tip id=~18222 href=/addedText.htm#add onclick="bC(this);"> were a
n> girdedH2296 with fine goldH3800 of UphazH0210: 6His bodyH1472 also was like the berylH8658, and his faceH6440 as the appearanceH4758 of lightningH1300, and his eyesH5869 as lampsH3940 of fireH0784, and his armsH2220 and his feetH4772 like in colourH5869 to polishedH7044 brassH5178, and the voiceH6963 of his wordsH1697 like the voiceH6963 of a multitudeH1995. 7And I DanielH1840 alone sawH7200 the visionH4759: for the menH0582 that were with me sawH7200 not the visionH4759; butH0061 a greatH1419 quakingH2731 fellH5307 upon them, so that they fledH1272 to hideH2244 themselves. 8Therefore I was left aloneH7604, and sawH7200 this greatH1419 visionH4759, and there remainedH7604 no strengthH3581 in me: for my comelinessH1935 was turnedH2015 in me into corruptionH4889, and I retainedH6113 no strengthH3581. 9Yet heardH8085 I the voiceH6963 of his wordsH1697: and when I heardH8085 the voiceH6963 of his wordsH1697, then was I in a deep sleepH7290 on my faceH6440, and my faceH6440 toward the groundH0776.

10And, behold, an handH3027 touchedH5060 me, which setH5128 me upon my kneesH1290 and upon the palmsH3709 of my handsH3027. 11And he saidH0559 unto me, O DanielH1840, a manH0376 greatly belovedH2532, understandH0995 the wordsH1697 that I speakH1696 unto thee, and standH5975 uprightH5977: for unto thee am I now sentH7971. And when he had spokenH1696 this wordH1697 unto me, I stoodH5975 tremblingH7460. 12Then saidH0559 he unto me, FearH3372 not, DanielH1840: for from the firstH7223 dayH3117 that thou didst setH5414 thine heartH3820 to understandH0995, and to chastenH6031 thyself beforeH6440 thy GodH0430, thy wordsH1697 were heardH8085, and I am comeH0935 for thy wordsH1697. 13But the princeH8269 of the kingdomH4438 of PersiaH6539 withstoodH5975 me oneH0259 and twentyH6242 daysH3117: but, lo, MichaelH4317, oneH0259 of the chiefH7223 princesH8269, cameH0935 to helpH5826 me; and I remainedH3498 there withH0681 the kingsH4428 of PersiaH6539. 14Now I am comeH0935 to make thee understandH0995 what shall befallH7136 thy peopleH5971 in the latterH0319 daysH3117: for yet the visionH2377 is for many daysH3117. 15And when he had spokenH1696 such wordsH1697 unto me, I setH5414 my faceH6440 toward the groundH0776, and I became dumbH0481. 16And, behold, one like the similitudeH1823 of the sonsH1121 of menH0120 touchedH5060 my lipsH8193: then I openedH6605 my mouthH6310, and spakeH1696, and saidH0559 unto him that stoodH5975 before me, O my lordH0113, by the visionH4759 my sorrowsH6735 are turnedH2015 upon me, and I have retainedH6113 no strengthH3581. 17For howH1963 canH3201 the servantH5650 of this my lordH0113 talkH1696 with this my lordH0113? for as for me, straightwayH6258 there remainedH5975 no strengthH3581 in me, neither is there breathH5397 leftH7604 in me. 18Then there came againH3254 and touchedH5060 me one like the appearanceH4758 of a manH0120, and he strengthenedH2388 me, 19And saidH0559, O manH0376 greatly belovedH2532, fearH3372 not: peaceH7965 be unto thee, be strongH2388, yea, be strongH2388. And when he had spokenH1696 unto me, I was strengthenedH2388, and saidH0559, Let my lordH0113 speakH1696; for thou hast strengthenedH2388 me. 20Then saidH0559 he, KnowestH3045 thou wherefore I comeH0935 unto thee? and now will I returnH7725 to fightH3898 with the princeH8269 of PersiaH6539: and when I am gone forthH3318, lo, the princeH8269 of GreciaH3120 shall comeH0935. 21ButH0061 I will shewH5046 thee that which is notedH7559 in the scriptureH3791 of truthH0571: and there is noneH0259 that holdethH2388 with me in these things, but MichaelH4317 your princeH8269.

Daniel: Chapter 11

1Also I in the firstH0259 yearH8141 of DariusH1867 the MedeH4075, even I, stoodH5977 to confirmH2388 and to strengthenH4581 him. 2And now will I shewH5046 thee the truthH0571. Behold, there shall stand upH5975 yet threeH7969 kingsH4428 in PersiaH6539; and the fourthH7243 shall be farH6239 richerH6238 than they allH1419: and by his strengthH2393 through his richesH6239 he shall stir upH5782 all against the realmH4438 of GreciaH3120. 3And a mightyH1368 kingH4428 shall stand upH5975, that shall ruleH4910 with greatH7227 dominionH4474, and doH6213 according to his willH7522. 4And when he shall stand upH5975, his kingdomH4438 shall be brokenH7665, and shall be dividedH2673 toward the fourH0702 windsH7307 of heavenH8064; and not to his posterityH0319, nor according to his dominionH4915 which he ruledH4910: for his kingdomH4438 shall be plucked upH5428, even for othersH0312 beside those.

5And the kingH4428 of the southH5045 shall be strongH2388, and one of his princesH8269; and he shall be strongH2388 above him, and have dominionH4910; his dominionH4475 shall be a greatH7227 dominionH4474. 6And in the endH7093 of yearsH8141 they shall join themselves togetherH2266; for the kingsH4428 daughterH1323 of the southH5045 shall comeH0935 to the kingH4428 of the northH6828 to makeH6213 an agreementH4339: but she shall not retainH6113 the powerH3581 of the armH2220; neither shall he standH5975, nor his armH2220: but she shall be given upH5414, and they that broughtH0935 her, and he that begatH3205 her, and he that strengthenedH2388 her in these timesH6256. 7But out of a branchH5342 of her rootsH8328 shall one stand upH5975 in his estateH3653, which shall comeH0935 with an armyH2428, and shall enterH0935 into the fortressH4581 of the kingH4428 of the northH6828, and shall dealH6213 against them, and shall prevailH2388: 8And shall also carryH0935 captivesH7628 into EgyptH4714 their godsH0430, with their princesH5257, and with their preciousH2532 vesselsH3627 of silverH3701 and of goldH2091; and he shall continueH5975 more yearsH8141 than the kingH4428 of the northH6828. 9So the kingH4428 of the southH5045 shall comeH0935 into his kingdomH4438, and shall returnH7725 into his own landH0127. 10But his sonsH1121 shall be stirred upH1624, and shall assembleH0622 a multitudeH1995 of greatH7227 forcesH2428: and one shall certainlyH0935 comeH0935, and overflowH7857, and pass throughH5674: then shall he returnH7725, and be stirred upH1624, even to his fortressH4581. 11And the kingH4428 of the southH5045 shall be moved with cholerH4843, and shall come forthH3318 and fightH3898 with him, even with the kingH4428 of the northH6828: and he shall set forthH5975 a greatH7227 multitudeH1995; but the multitudeH1995 shall be givenH5414 into his handH3027. 12 And when he hath taken awayH5375 the multitudeH1995, his heartH3824 shall be lifted upH7311; and he shall cast downH5307 many ten thousandsH7239: but he shall not be strengthenedH5810 by it . 13For the kingH4428 of the northH6828 shall returnH7725, and shall set forthH5975 a multitudeH1995 greaterH7227 than the formerH7223, and shall certainlyH0935 comeH0935 afterH7093 certainH6256 yearsH8141 with a greatH1419 armyH2428 and with muchH7227 richesH7399. 14And in those timesH6256 there shall manyH7227 stand upH5975 against the kingH4428 of the southH5045: also the robbersH1121 of thy peopleH5971 shall exaltH5375 themselves to establishH5975 the visionH2377; but they shall fallH3782. 15So the kingH4428 of the northH6828 shall comeH0935, and cast upH8210 a mountH5550, and takeH3920 the most fencedH4013 citiesH5892: and the armsH2220 of the southH5045 shall not withstandH5975, neither his chosenH4005 peopleH5971, neither shall there be any strengthH3581 to withstandH5975. 16But he that comethH0935 against him shall doH6213 according to his own willH7522, and none shall standH5975 beforeH6440 him: and he shall standH5975 in the gloriousH6643 landH0776, which by his handH3027 shall be consumedH3617. 17He shall also setH7760 his faceH6440 to enterH0935 with the strengthH8633 of his whole kingdomH4438, and upright onesH3477 with him; thus shall he doH6213: and he shall giveH5414 him the daughterH1323 of womenH0802, corruptingH7843 her: but she shall not standH5975 on his side , neither be for him. 18After this shall he turnH7760 his faceH6440 unto the islesH0339, and shall takeH3920 manyH7227: but a princeH7101 for his own behalf shall cause the reproachH2781 offered by him to ceaseH7673; withoutH1115 his own reproachH2781 he shall cause it to turnH7725 upon him. 19Then he shall turnH7725 his faceH6440 toward the fortH4581 of his own landH0776: but he shall stumbleH3782 and fallH5307, and not be foundH4672. 20Then shall stand upH5975 in his estateH3653 a raiserH5674 of taxesH5065 in the gloryH1925 of the kingdomH4438: but within fewH0259 daysH3117 he shall be destroyedH7665, neither in angerH0639, nor in battleH4421.

21And in his estateH3653 shall stand upH5975 a vile personH0959, to whom they shall not giveH5414 the honourH1935 of the kingdomH4438: but he shall comeH0935 in peaceablyH7962, and obtainH2388 the kingdomH4438 by flatteriesH2519. 22And with the armsH2220 of a floodH7858 shall they be overflownH7857 from beforeH6440 him, and shall be brokenH7665; yea, also the princeH5057 of the covenantH1285. 23And after the leagueH2266 made with him he shall workH6213 deceitfullyH4820: for he shall come upH5927, and shall become strongH6105 with a smallH4592 peopleH1471. 24He shall enterH0935 peaceablyH7962 even upon the fattest placesH4924 of the provinceH4082; and he shall doH6213 that which his fathersH0001 have not doneH6213, nor his fathersH0001 fathersH0001; he shall scatterH0967 among them the preyH0961, and spoilH7998, and richesH7399: yea , and he shall forecastH2803 his devicesH4284 against the strong holdsH4013, even for a timeH6256. 25And he shall stir upH5782 his powerH3581 and his courageH3824 against the kingH4428 of the southH5045 with a greatH1419 armyH2428; and the kingH4428 of the southH5045 shall be stirred upH1624 to battleH4421 with a veryH3966 greatH1419 and mightyH6099 armyH2428; but he shall not standH5975: for they shall forecastH2803 devicesH4284 against him. 26Yea, they that feedH0398 of the portion of his meatH6598 shall destroyH7665 him, and his armyH2428 shall overflowH7857: and manyH7227 shall fallH5307 down slainH2491. 27And bothH8147 these kingsH4428 heartsH3824 shall be to do mischiefH4827, and they shall speakH1696 liesH3577 at oneH0259 tableH7979; but it shall not prosperH6743: for yet the endH7093 shall be at the time appointedH4150. 28Then shall he returnH7725 into his landH0776 with greatH1419 richesH7399; and his heartH3824 shall be against the holyH6944 covenantH1285; and he shall doH6213 exploits , and returnH7725 to his own landH0776. 29At the time appointedH4150 he shall returnH7725, and comeH0935 toward the southH5045; but it shall not be as the formerH7223, or as the latterH0314.

30For the shipsH6716 of ChittimH3794 shall comeH0935 against him: therefore he shall be grievedH3512, and returnH7725, and have indignationH2194 against the holyH6944 covenantH1285: so shall he doH6213; he shall even returnH7725, and have intelligenceH0995 with them that forsakeH5800 the holyH6944 covenantH1285. 31And armsH2220 shall standH5975 on his part, and they shall polluteH2490 the sanctuaryH4720 of strengthH4581, and shall take awayH5493 the dailyH8548 sacrifice , and they shall placeH5414 the abominationH8251 that maketh desolateH8074. 32And such as do wickedlyH7561 against the covenantH1285 shall he corruptH2610 by flatteriesH2514: but the peopleH5971 that do knowH3045 their GodH0430 shall be strongH2388, and doH6213 exploits . 33And they that understandH7919 among the peopleH5971 shall instructH0995 manyH7227: yet they shall fallH3782 by the swordH2719, and by flameH3852, by captivityH7628, and by spoilH0961, many daysH3117. 34Now when they shall fallH3782, they shall be holpenH5826 with a littleH4592 helpH5828: but manyH7227 shall cleaveH3867 to them with flatteriesH2519. 35And some of them of understandingH7919 shall fallH3782, to tryH6884 them, and to purgeH1305, and to make them whiteH3835, even to the timeH6256 of the endH7093: because it is yet for a time appointedH4150. 36And the kingH4428 shall doH6213 according to his willH7522; and he shall exaltH7311 himself, and magnifyH1431 himself above every godH0410, and shall speakH1696 marvellous thingsH6381 against the GodH0410 of godsH0410, and shall prosperH6743 till the indignationH2195 be accomplishedH3615: for that that is determinedH2782 shall be doneH6213. 37Neither shall he regardH0995 the GodH0430 of his fathersH0001, nor the desireH2532 of womenH0802, nor regardH0995 any godH0433: for he shall magnifyH1431 himself above all. 38But in his estateH3653 shall he honourH3513 the GodH0433 of forcesH4581: and a godH0433 whom his fathersH0001 knewH3045 not shall he honourH3513 with goldH2091, and silverH3701, and with preciousH3368 stonesH0068, and pleasant thingsH2532. 39Thus shall he doH6213 in the most strongH4581 holdsH4013 with a strangeH5236 godH0433, whom he shall acknowledgeH5234 and increaseH7235 with gloryH3519: and he shall cause them to ruleH4910 over manyH7227, and shall divideH2505 the landH0127 for gainH4242. 40And at the timeH6256 of the endH7093 shall the kingH4428 of the southH5045 pushH5055 at him: and the kingH4428 of the northH6828 shall come against him like a whirlwindH8175, with chariotsH7393, and with horsemenH6571, and with manyH7227 shipsH0591; and he shall enterH0935 into the countriesH0776, and shall overflowH7857 and pass overH5674. 41He shall enterH0935 also into the gloriousH6643 landH0776, and manyH7227 countries shall be overthrownH3782: but these shall escapeH4422 out of his handH3027, even EdomH0123, and MoabH4124, and the chiefH7225 of the childrenH1121 of AmmonH5983. 42He shall stretch forthH7971 his handH3027 also upon the countriesH0776: and the landH0776 of EgyptH4714 shall not escapeH6413. 43But he shall have powerH4910 over the treasuresH4362 of goldH2091 and of silverH3701, and over all the preciousH2532 things of EgyptH4714: and the LibyansH3864 and the EthiopiansH3569 shall be at his stepsH4703. 44But tidingsH8052 out of the eastH4217 and out of the northH6828 shall troubleH0926 him: therefore he shall go forthH3318 with greatH1419 furyH2534 to destroyH8045, and utterly to make awayH2763 manyH7227. 45And he shall plantH5193 the tabernaclesH0168 of his palaceH0643 between the seasH3220 in the gloriousH6643 holyH6944 mountainH2022; yet he shall comeH0935 to his endH7093, and none shall helpH5826 him.

Daniel: Chapter 12

1And at that timeH6256 shall MichaelH4317 stand upH5975, the greatH1419 princeH8269 which standethH5975 for the childrenH1121 of thy peopleH5971: and there shall beH1961 a timeH6256 of troubleH6869, such as never was since there was a nationH1471 even to that same timeH6256: and at that timeH6256 thy peopleH5971 shall be deliveredH4422, every one that shall be foundH4672 writtenH3789 in the bookH5612. 2And manyH7227 of them that sleepH3463 in the dustH6083 of the earthH0127 shall awakeH6974, some to everlastingH5769 lifeH2416, and some to shameH2781 and everlastingH5769 contemptH1860. 3And they that be wiseH7919 shall shineH2094 as the brightnessH2096 of the firmamentH7549; and they that turn manyH7227 to righteousnessH6663 as the starsH3556 for everH5769 and everH5703. 4But thou, O DanielH1840, shut upH5640 the wordsH1697, and sealH2856 the bookH5612, even to the timeH6256 of the endH7093: manyH7227 shall run to and froH7751, and knowledgeH1847 shall be increasedH7235.

5Then I DanielH1840 lookedH7200, and, behold, there stoodH5975 otherH0312 twoH8147, the oneH0259 on this sideH2008 of the bankH8193 of the riverH2975, and the otherH0259 on that side of the bankH8193 of the riverH2975. 6And one saidH0559 to the manH0376 clothedH3847 in linenH0906, which was uponH4605 the watersH4325 of the riverH2975, How long shall it be to the endH7093 of these wondersH6382? 7And I heardH8085 the manH0376 clothedH3847 in linenH0906, which was uponH4605 the watersH4325 of the riverH2975, when he held upH7311 his right handH3225 and his left handH8040 unto heavenH8064, and swareH7650 by him that livethH2416 for everH5769 that it shall be for a timeH4150, timesH4150, and an halfH2677; and when he shall have accomplishedH3615 to scatterH5310 the powerH3027 of the holyH6944 peopleH5971, all these things shall be finishedH3615. 8And I heardH8085, but I understoodH0995 not: then saidH0559 I, O my LordH0113, what shall be the endH0319 of these things ? 9And he saidH0559, Go thy wayH3212, DanielH1840: for the wordsH1697 are closed upH5640 and sealedH2856 till the timeH6256 of the endH7093. 10ManyH7227 shall be purifiedH1305, and made whiteH3835, and triedH6884; but the wickedH7563 shall do wickedlyH7561: and none of the wickedH7563 shall understandH0995; but the wiseH7919 shall understandH0995. 11And from the timeH6256 that the dailyH8548 sacrifice shall be taken awayH5493, and the abominationH8251 that maketh desolateH8074 set upH5414, there shall be a thousandH0505 two hundredH3967 and ninetyH8673 daysH3117. 12BlessedH0835 is he that waitethH2442, and comethH5060 to the thousandH0505 threeH7969 hundredH3967 and fiveH2568 and thirtyH7970 daysH3117. 13But go thou thy wayH3212 till the endH7093 be: for thou shalt restH5117, and standH5975 in thy lotH1486 at the endH7093 of the daysH3117.
