2 Kings: Chapter 1

1Then MoabH4124 rebelledH6586 against IsraelH3478 afterH0310 the deathH4194 of AhabH0256. 2And AhaziahH0274 fell downH5307 through a latticeH7639 in his upper chamberH5944 that was in SamariaH8111, and was sickH2470: and he sentH7971 messengersH4397, and saidH0559 unto them, GoH3212, enquireH1875 of Baal-zebubH1176 the godH0430 of EkronH6138 whether I shall recoverH2421 of this diseaseH2483. 3But the angelH4397 of the LORDH3068 saidH1696 to ElijahH0452 the TishbiteH8664, AriseH6965, go upH5927 to meetH7125 the messengersH4397 of the kingH4428 of SamariaH8111, and sayH1696 unto them, Is it not because there is not a GodH0430 in IsraelH3478, that ye goH1980 to enquireH1875 of Baal-zebubH1176 the godH0430 of EkronH6138? 4Now therefore thus saithH0559 the LORDH3068, Thou shalt not come downH3381 from that bedH4296 on which thou art gone upH5927, but shalt surelyH4191 dieH4191. And ElijahH0452 departedH3212.

5And when the messengersH4397 turned backH7725 unto him, he saidH0559 unto them, Why are ye nowH2088 turned backH7725? 6And they saidH0559 unto him, There cameH5927 a manH0376 upH5927 to meetH7125 us, and saidH0559 unto us, GoH3212, turn againH7725 unto the kingH4428 that sentH7971 you, and sayH1696 unto him, Thus saithH0559 the LORDH3068, Is it not because there is not a GodH0430 in IsraelH3478, that thou sendestH7971 to enquireH1875 of Baal-zebubH1176 the godH0430 of EkronH6138? therefore thou shalt not come downH3381 from that bedH4296 on which thou art gone upH5927, but shalt surelyH4191 dieH4191. 7And he saidH1696 unto them, What mannerH4941 of manH0376 was he which came upH5927 to meetH7125 you, and toldH1696 you these wordsH1697? 8And they answeredH0559 him, He was an hairyH8181 manH1167, and girtH0247 with a girdleH0232 of leatherH5785 about his loinsH4975. And he saidH0559, It is ElijahH0452 the TishbiteH8664.

9Then the kingH4428 sentH7971 unto him a captainH8269 of fiftyH2572 with his fiftyH2572. And he went upH5927 to him: and, behold, he satH3427 on the topH7218 of an hillH2022. And he spakeH1696 unto him, Thou manH0376 of GodH0430, the kingH4428 hath saidH1696, Come downH3381. 10And ElijahH0452 answeredH6030 and saidH1696 to the captainH8269 of fiftyH2572, If I be a manH0376 of GodH0430, then let fireH0784 come downH3381 from heavenH8064, and consumeH0398 thee and thy fiftyH2572. And there came downH3381 fireH0784 from heavenH8064, and consumedH0398 him and his fiftyH2572. 11AgainH7725 also he sentH7971 unto him anotherH0312 captainH8269 of fiftyH2572 with his fiftyH2572. And he answeredH6030 and saidH1696 unto him, O manH0376 of GodH0430, thus hath the kingH4428 saidH0559, Come downH3381 quicklyH4120. 12And ElijahH0452 answeredH6030 and saidH1696 unto them, If I be a manH0376 of GodH0430, let fireH0784 come downH3381 from heavenH8064, and consumeH0398 thee and thy fiftyH2572. And the fireH0784 of GodH0430 came downH3381 from heavenH8064, and consumedH0398 him and his fiftyH2572.

13And he sentH7971 againH7725 a captainH8269 of the thirdH7992 fiftyH2572 with his fiftyH2572. And the thirdH7992 captainH8269 of fiftyH2572 went upH5927, and cameH0935 and fellH3766 on his kneesH1290 beforeH5048 ElijahH0452, and besoughtH2603 him, and saidH1696 unto him, O manH0376 of GodH0430, I pray thee, let my lifeH5315, and the lifeH5315 of these fiftyH2572 thy servantsH5650, be preciousH3365 in thy sightH5869. 14Behold, there cameH3381 fireH0784 downH3381 from heavenH8064, and burnt upH0398 the twoH8147 captainsH8269 of the formerH7223 fiftiesH2572 with their fiftiesH2572: therefore let my lifeH5315 now be preciousH3365 in thy sightH5869. 15And the angelH4397 of the LORDH3068 saidH1696 unto ElijahH0452, Go downH3381 with him: be not afraidH3372 of himH6440. And he aroseH6965, and went downH3381 with him unto the kingH4428. 16And he saidH1696 unto him, Thus saithH0559 the LORDH3068, Forasmuch as thou hast sentH7971 messengersH4397 to enquireH1875 of Baal-zebubH1176 the godH0430 of EkronH6138, is it not because there is no GodH0430 in IsraelH3478 to enquireH1875 of his wordH1697? therefore thou shalt not come downH3381 off that bedH4296 on which thou art gone upH5927, but shalt surelyH4191 dieH4191.

17So he diedH4191 according to the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 which ElijahH0452 had spokenH1696. And JehoramH3088 reignedH4427 in his stead in the secondH8147 yearH8141 of JehoramH3088 the sonH1121 of JehoshaphatH3092 kingH4428 of JudahH3063; because he had no sonH1121. 18Now the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of AhaziahH0274 which he didH6213, are they not writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of the chroniclesH1697 of the kingsH4428 of IsraelH3478?

2 Kings: Chapter 2

1And it came to pass, when the LORDH3068 would take upH5927 ElijahH0452 into heavenH8064 by a whirlwindH5591, that ElijahH0452 wentH3212 with ElishaH0477 from GilgalH1537. 2And ElijahH0452 saidH0559 unto ElishaH0477, TarryH3427 here, I pray thee; for the LORDH3068 hath sentH7971 me to Beth-elH1008. And ElishaH0477 saidH0559 unto him, As the LORDH3068 livethH2416, and as thy soulH5315 livethH2416, I will not leaveH5800 thee. So they went downH3381 to Beth-elH1008. 3And the sonsH1121 of the prophetsH5030 that were at Beth-elH1008 came forthH3318 to ElishaH0477, and saidH0559 unto him, KnowestH3045 thou that the LORDH3068 will take awayH3947 thy masterH0113 from thy headH7218 to dayH3117? And he saidH0559, Yea, I knowH3045 it; hold ye your peaceH2814. 4And ElijahH0452 saidH0559 unto him, ElishaH0477, tarryH3427 here, I pray thee; for the LORDH3068 hath sentH7971 me to JerichoH3405. And he saidH0559, As the LORDH3068 livethH2416, and as thy soulH5315 livethH2416, I will not leaveH5800 thee. So they cameH0935 to JerichoH3405. 5And the sonsH1121 of the prophetsH5030 that were at JerichoH3405 cameH5066 to ElishaH0477, and saidH0559 unto him, KnowestH3045 thou that the LORDH3068 will take awayH3947 thy masterH0113 from thy headH7218 to dayH3117? And he answeredH0559, Yea, I knowH3045 it; hold ye your peaceH2814. 6And ElijahH0452 saidH0559 unto him, TarryH3427, I pray thee, here; for the LORDH3068 hath sentH7971 me to JordanH3383. And he saidH0559, As the LORDH3068 livethH2416, and as thy soulH5315 livethH2416, I will not leaveH5800 thee. And they twoH8147 went onH3212. 7And fiftyH2572 menH0376 of the sonsH1121 of the prophetsH5030 wentH1980, and stoodH5975 to viewH5048 afar offH7350: and they twoH8147 stoodH5975 by JordanH3383. 8And ElijahH0452 tookH3947 his mantleH0155, and wrapped it togetherH1563, and smoteH5221 the watersH4325, and they were dividedH2673 hither and thither, so that they twoH8147 went overH5674 on dryH2724 ground.

9And it came to pass, when they were gone overH5674, that ElijahH0452 saidH0559 unto ElishaH0477, AskH7592 what I shall doH6213 for thee, before I be taken awayH3947 from thee. And ElishaH0477 saidH0559, I pray thee, let a doubleH8147 portionH6310 of thy spiritH7307 be upon me. 10And he saidH0559, Thou hast askedH7592 a hard thingH7185: nevertheless , if thou seeH7200 me when I am takenH3947 from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so . 11And it came to pass, as they stillH1980 went onH1980, and talkedH1696, that, behold, there appeared a chariotH7393 of fireH0784, and horsesH5483 of fireH0784, and partedH6504 them bothH8147 asunderH0996; and ElijahH0452 went upH5927 by a whirlwindH5591 into heavenH8064.

12And ElishaH0477 sawH7200 it , and he criedH6817, My fatherH0001, my fatherH0001, the chariotH7393 of IsraelH3478, and the horsemenH6571 thereof. And he sawH7200 him no more: and he took holdH2388 of his own clothesH0899, and rentH7167 them in twoH8147 piecesH7168.

13He took upH7311 also the mantleH0155 of ElijahH0452 that fellH5307 from him, and went backH7725, and stoodH5975 by the bankH8193 of JordanH3383; 14And he tookH3947 the mantleH0155 of ElijahH0452 that fellH5307 from him, and smoteH5221 the watersH4325, and saidH0559, Where is the LORDH3068 GodH0430 of ElijahH0452? and when he also had smittenH5221 the watersH4325, they partedH2673 hither and thither: and ElishaH0477 went overH5674. 15And when the sonsH1121 of the prophetsH5030 which were to view at JerichoH3405 sawH7200 him, they saidH0559, The spiritH7307 of ElijahH0452 doth restH5117 on ElishaH0477. And they cameH0935 to meetH7125 him, and bowedH7812 themselves to the groundH0776 before him.

16And they saidH0559 unto him, Behold now, there beH3426 with thy servantsH5650 fiftyH2572 strongH2428 menH1121; let them goH3212, we pray thee, and seekH1245 thy masterH0113: lest peradventure the SpiritH7307 of the LORDH3068 hath taken him upH5375, and castH7993 him upon someH0259 mountainH2022, or into someH0259 valleyH1516. And he saidH0559, Ye shall not sendH7971. 17And when they urgedH6484 him till he was ashamedH0954, he saidH0559, SendH7971. They sentH7971 therefore fiftyH2572 menH0376; and they soughtH1245 threeH7969 daysH3117, but foundH4672 him not. 18And when they came againH7725 to him, (for he tarriedH3427 at JerichoH3405,) he saidH0559 unto them, Did I not sayH0559 unto you, GoH3212 not?

19And the menH0582 of the cityH5892 saidH0559 unto ElishaH0477, Behold, I pray thee, the situationH4186 of this cityH5892 is pleasantH2896, as my lordH0113 seethH7200: but the waterH4325 is naughtH7451, and the groundH0776 barrenH7921. 20And he saidH0559, BringH3947 me a newH2319 cruseH6746, and putH7760 saltH4417 therein. And they broughtH3947 it to him. 21And he went forthH3318 unto the springH4161 of the watersH4325, and castH7993 the saltH4417 in there, and saidH0559, Thus saithH0559 the LORDH3068, I have healedH7495 these watersH4325; there shall not be from thence any more deathH4194 or barrenH7921 land . 22So the watersH4325 were healedH7495 unto this dayH3117, according to the sayingH1697 of ElishaH0477 which he spakeH1696.

23And he went upH5927 from thence unto Beth-elH1008: and as he was going upH5927 by the wayH1870, there came forthH3318 littleH6996 childrenH5288 out of the cityH5892, and mockedH7046 him, and saidH0559 unto him, Go upH5927, thou bald headH7142; go upH5927, thou bald headH7142. 24And he turnedH6437 backH0310, and lookedH7200 on them, and cursedH7043 them in the nameH8034 of the LORDH3068. And there came forthH3318 twoH8147 she bearsH1677 out of the woodH3293, and tareH1234 fortyH0705 and twoH8147 childrenH3206 of them. 25And he wentH3212 from thence to mountH2022 CarmelH3760, and from thence he returnedH7725 to SamariaH8111.

2 Kings: Chapter 3

1Now JehoramH3088 the sonH1121 of AhabH0256 began to reignH4427 over IsraelH3478 in SamariaH8111 the eighteenthH8083 yearH8141 of JehoshaphatH3092 kingH4428 of JudahH3063, and reignedH4427 twelveH8147 yearsH8141. 2And he wroughtH6213 evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068; but not like his fatherH0001, and like his motherH0517: for he put awayH5493 the imageH4676 of BaalH1168 that his fatherH0001 had madeH6213. 3Nevertheless he cleavedH1692 unto the sinsH2403 of JeroboamH3379 the sonH1121 of NebatH5028, which made IsraelH3478 to sinH2398; he departedH5493 not therefrom.

4And MeshaH4338 kingH4428 of MoabH4124 was a sheepmasterH5349, and renderedH7725 unto the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 an hundredH3967 thousandH0505 lambsH3733, and an hundredH3967 thousandH0505 ramsH0352, with the woolH6785. 5But it came to pass, when AhabH0256 was deadH4194, that the kingH4428 of MoabH4124 rebelledH6586 against the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478.

6And kingH4428 JehoramH3088 went outH3318 of SamariaH8111 the same timeH3117, and numberedH6485 all IsraelH3478. 7And he wentH3212 and sentH7971 to JehoshaphatH3092 the kingH4428 of JudahH3063, sayingH0559, The kingH4428 of MoabH4124 hath rebelledH6586 against me: wilt thou goH3212 with me against MoabH4124 to battleH4421? And he saidH0559, I will go upH5927: I am as thou art , my peopleH5971 as thy peopleH5971, and my horsesH5483 as thy horsesH5483. 8And he saidH0559, Which wayH1870 shall we go upH5927? And he answeredH0559, The wayH1870 through the wildernessH4057 of EdomH0123. 9So the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 wentH3212, and the kingH4428 of JudahH3063, and the kingH4428 of EdomH0123: and they fetched a compassH5437 of sevenH7651 daysH3117 journeyH1870: and there was no waterH4325 for the hostH4264, and for the cattleH0929 that followedH7272 them. 10And the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 saidH0559, AlasH0162! that the LORDH3068 hath calledH7121 these threeH7969 kingsH4428 togetherH7121, to deliverH5414 them into the handH3027 of MoabH4124! 11But JehoshaphatH3092 saidH0559, Is there not here a prophetH5030 of the LORDH3068, that we may enquireH1875 of the LORDH3068 by him? And oneH0259 of the kingH4428 of IsraelsH3478 servantsH5650 answeredH6030 and saidH0559, Here is ElishaH0477 the sonH1121 of ShaphatH8202, which pouredH3332 waterH4325 on the handsH3027 of ElijahH0452. 12And JehoshaphatH3092 saidH0559, The wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 isH3426 with him. So the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 and JehoshaphatH3092 and the kingH4428 of EdomH0123 went downH3381 to him. 13And ElishaH0477 saidH0559 unto the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478, What have I to do with thee? getH3212 thee to the prophetsH5030 of thy fatherH0001, and to the prophetsH5030 of thy motherH0517. And the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 saidH0559 unto him, Nay: for the LORDH3068 hath calledH7121 these threeH7969 kingsH4428 togetherH7121, to deliverH5414 them into the handH3027 of MoabH4124. 14And ElishaH0477 saidH0559, As the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635 livethH2416, beforeH6440 whom I standH5975, surely, were it not thatH3884 I regardH5375 the presenceH6440 of JehoshaphatH3092 the kingH4428 of JudahH3063, I would not lookH5027 toward thee, nor seeH7200 thee. 15But now bringH3947 me a minstrelH5059. And it came to pass, when the minstrelH5059 playedH5059, that the handH3027 of the LORDH3068 came upon him. 16And he saidH0559, Thus saithH0559 the LORDH3068, MakeH6213 this valleyH5158 full of ditchesH1356. 17For thus saithH0559 the LORDH3068, Ye shall not seeH7200 windH7307, neither shall ye seeH7200 rainH1653; yet that valleyH5158 shall be filledH4390 with waterH4325, that ye may drinkH8354, both ye, and your cattleH4735, and your beastsH0929. 18And this is but a light thingH7043 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068: he will deliverH5414 the MoabitesH4124 also into your handH3027. 19And ye shall smiteH5221 every fencedH4013 cityH5892, and every choiceH4004 cityH5892, and shall fellH5307 every goodH2896 treeH6086, and stopH5640 all wellsH4599 of waterH4325, and marH3510 every goodH2896 pieceH2513 of land with stonesH0068.

20And it came to pass in the morningH1242, when the meat offeringH4503 was offeredH5927, that, behold, there cameH0935 waterH4325 by the wayH1870 of EdomH0123, and the countryH0776 was filledH4390 with waterH4325.

21And when all the MoabitesH4124 heardH8085 that the kingsH4428 were come upH5927 to fightH3898 against them, they gatheredH6817 all that were able to putH2296 on armourH2290, and upwardH4605, and stoodH5975 in the borderH1366. 22And they rose up earlyH7925 in the morningH1242, and the sunH8121 shoneH2224 upon the waterH4325, and the MoabitesH4124 sawH7200 the waterH4325 on the other sideH5048 as redH0122 as bloodH1818: 23And they saidH0559, This is bloodH1818: the kingsH4428 are surelyH2717 slainH2717, and they have smittenH5221 oneH0376 anotherH7453: now therefore, MoabH4124, to the spoilH7998. 24And when they cameH0935 to the campH4264 of IsraelH3478, the IsraelitesH3478 rose upH6965 and smoteH5221 the MoabitesH4124, so that they fledH5127 beforeH6440 them: but they went forwardH5221 smitingH5221 the MoabitesH4124, even in their country. 25And they beat downH2040 the citiesH5892, and on every goodH2896 pieceH2513 of land castH7993 every manH0376 his stoneH0068, and filledH4390 it; and they stoppedH5640 all the wellsH4599 of waterH4325, and felledH5307 all the goodH2896 treesH6086: only in Kir-harasethH7025 leftH7604 they the stonesH0068 thereof; howbeit the slingersH7051 went aboutH5437 it , and smoteH5221 it.

26And when the kingH4428 of MoabH4124 sawH7200 that the battleH4421 was too soreH2388 for him, he tookH3947 with him sevenH7651 hundredH3967 menH0376 that drewH8025 swordsH2719, to break throughH1234 even unto the kingH4428 of EdomH0123: but they couldH3201 not. 27Then he tookH3947 his eldestH1060 sonH1121 that should have reignedH4427 in his stead, and offeredH5927 him for a burnt offeringH5930 upon the wallH2346. And there was greatH1419 indignationH7110 against IsraelH3478: and they departedH5265 from him, and returnedH7725 to their own landH0776.

2 Kings: Chapter 4

1Now there criedH6817 a certainH0259 womanH0802 of the wivesH0802 of the sonsH1121 of the prophetsH5030 unto ElishaH0477, sayingH0559, Thy servantH5650 my husbandH0376 is deadH4191; and thou knowestH3045 that thy servantH5650 did fearH3373 the LORDH3068: and the creditorH5383 is comeH0935 to takeH3947 unto him my twoH8147 sonsH3206 to be bondmenH5650. 2And ElishaH0477 saidH0559 unto her, What shall I doH6213 for thee? tellH5046 me, what hastH3426 thou in the houseH1004? And she saidH0559, Thine handmaidH8198 hath not any thing in the houseH1004, save a potH0610 of oilH8081. 3Then he saidH0559, GoH3212, borrowH7592 thee vesselsH3627 abroadH2351 of all thy neighboursH7934, even emptyH7386 vesselsH3627; borrow not a fewH4591. 4And when thou art come inH0935, thou shalt shutH5462 the doorH1817 upon thee and upon thy sonsH1121, and shalt pour outH3332 into all those vesselsH3627, and thou shalt set asideH5265 that which is fullH4392. 5So she wentH3212 from him, and shutH5462 the doorH1817 upon her and uponH1157 her sonsH1121, whoH1992 broughtH5066 the vessels to her; and she poured outH3332. 6And it came to pass, when the vesselsH3627 were fullH4390, that she saidH0559 unto her sonH1121, BringH5066 me yet a vesselH3627. And he saidH0559 unto her, There is not a vesselH3627 more. And the oilH8081 stayedH5975. 7Then she cameH0935 and toldH5046 the manH0376 of GodH0430. And he saidH0559, GoH3212, sellH4376 the oilH8081, and payH7999 thy debtH5386, and liveH2421 thou and thy childrenH1121 of the restH3498.

8And it fell on a dayH3117, that ElishaH0477 passedH5674 to ShunemH7766, where was a greatH1419 womanH0802; and she constrainedH2388 him to eatH0398 breadH3899. And so it was, that as oftH1767 as he passed byH5674, he turnedH5493 in thither to eatH0398 breadH3899. 9And she saidH0559 unto her husbandH0376, Behold now, I perceiveH3045 that this is an holyH6918 manH0376 of GodH0430, which passethH5674 by us continuallyH8548. 10Let us makeH6213 a littleH6996 chamberH5944, I pray thee, on the wallH7023; and let us setH7760 for him there a bedH4296, and a tableH7979, and a stoolH3678, and a candlestickH4501: and it shall be, when he comethH0935 to us, that he shall turnH5493 in thither. 11And it fell on a dayH3117, that he cameH0935 thither, and he turnedH5493 into the chamberH5944, and layH7901 there. 12And he saidH0559 to GehaziH1522 his servantH5288, CallH7121 this ShunammiteH7767. And when he had calledH7121 her, she stoodH5975 beforeH6440 him. 13And he saidH0559 unto him, SayH0559 now unto her, Behold, thou hast been carefulH2729 for us with all this careH2731; what is to be doneH6213 for thee? wouldestH3426 thou be spokenH1696 for to the kingH4428, or to the captainH8269 of the hostH6635? And she answeredH0559, I dwellH3427 amongH8432 mine own peopleH5971. 14And he saidH0559, What then is to be doneH6213 for her? And GehaziH1522 answeredH0559, VerilyH0061 she hath no childH1121, and her husbandH0376 is oldH2204. 15And he saidH0559, CallH7121 her. And when he had calledH7121 her, she stoodH5975 in the doorH6607. 16And he saidH0559, About this seasonH4150, according to the timeH6256 of lifeH2416, thou shalt embraceH2263 a sonH1121. And she saidH0559, Nay, my lordH0113, thou manH0376 of GodH0430, do not lieH3576 unto thine handmaidH8198. 17And the womanH0802 conceivedH2029, and bareH3205 a sonH1121 at that seasonH4150 that ElishaH0477 had saidH1696 unto her, according to the timeH6256 of lifeH2416.

18And when the childH3206 was grownH1431, it fell on a dayH3117, that he went outH3318 to his fatherH0001 to the reapersH7114. 19And he saidH0559 unto his fatherH0001, My headH7218, my headH7218. And he saidH0559 to a ladH5288, CarryH5375 him to his motherH0517. 20And when he had takenH5375 him, and broughtH0935 him to his motherH0517, he satH3427 on her kneesH1290 till noonH6672, and then diedH4191. 21And she went upH5927, and laidH7901 him on the bedH4296 of the manH0376 of GodH0430, and shutH5462 the door upon him, and went outH3318. 22And she calledH7121 unto her husbandH0376, and saidH0559, SendH7971 me, I pray thee, oneH0259 of the young menH5288, and oneH0259 of the assesH0860, that I may runH7323 to the manH0376 of GodH0430, and come againH7725. 23And he saidH0559, Wherefore wilt thou goH1980 to him to dayH3117? it is neither new moonH2320, nor sabbathH7676. And she saidH0559, It shall be wellH7965. 24Then she saddledH2280 an assH0860, and saidH0559 to her servantH5288, DriveH5090, and go forwardH3212; slackH6113 not thy ridingH7392 for me, except I bidH0559 thee. 25So she wentH3212 and cameH0935 unto the manH0376 of GodH0430 to mountH2022 CarmelH3760. And it came to pass, when the manH0376 of GodH0430 saw her afar offH7200, that he saidH0559 to GehaziH1522 his servantH5288, Behold, yonder is thatH1975 ShunammiteH7767: 26RunH7323 now, I pray thee, to meetH7125 her, and sayH0559 unto her, Is it wellH7965 with thee? is it wellH7965 with thy husbandH0376? is it wellH7965 with the childH3206? And she answeredH0559, It is wellH7965. 27And when she cameH0935 to the manH0376 of GodH0430 to the hillH2022, she caughtH2388 him by the feetH7272: but GehaziH1522 came nearH5066 to thrust her awayH1920. And the manH0376 of GodH0430 saidH0559, Let her aloneH7503; for her soulH5315 is vexedH4843 within her: and the LORDH3068 hath hidH5956 it from me, and hath not toldH5046 me. 28Then she saidH0559, Did I desireH7592 a sonH1121 of my lordH0113? did I not sayH0559, Do not deceiveH7952 me? 29Then he saidH0559 to GehaziH1522, Gird upH2296 thy loinsH4975, and takeH3947 my staffH4938 in thine handH3027, and go thy wayH3212: if thou meetH4672 any manH0376, saluteH1288 him not; and if anyH0376 saluteH1288 thee, answer him not againH6030: and layH7760 my staffH4938 upon the faceH6440 of the childH5288. 30And the motherH0517 of the childH5288 saidH0559, As the LORDH3068 livethH2416, and as thy soulH5315 livethH2416, I will not leaveH5800 thee. And he aroseH6965, and followedH3212 her. 31And GehaziH1522 passed onH5674 beforeH6440 them, and laidH7760 the staffH4938 upon the faceH6440 of the childH5288; but there was neither voiceH6963, nor hearingH7182. Wherefore he went againH7725 to meetH7125 him, and toldH5046 him, sayingH0559, The childH5288 is not awakedH6974. 32And when ElishaH0477 was comeH0935 into the houseH1004, behold, the childH5288 was deadH4191, and laidH7901 upon his bedH4296. 33He went inH0935 therefore, and shutH5462 the doorH1817 upon them twainH8147, and prayedH6419 unto the LORDH3068. 34And he went upH5927, and layH7901 upon the childH3206, and putH7760 his mouthH6310 upon his mouthH6310, and his eyesH5869 upon his eyesH5869, and his handsH3709 upon his handsH3709: and he stretchedH1457 himself upon the child; and the fleshH1320 of the childH3206 waxed warmH2552. 35Then he returnedH7725, and walkedH3212 in the houseH1004 toH0259 and froH0259; and went upH5927, and stretchedH1457 himself upon him: and the childH5288 sneezedH2237 sevenH7651 timesH6471, and the childH5288 openedH6491 his eyesH5869. 36And he calledH7121 GehaziH1522, and saidH0559, CallH7121 this ShunammiteH7767. So he calledH7121 her. And when she was come inH0935 unto him, he saidH0559, Take upH5375 thy sonH1121. 37Then she went inH0935, and fellH5307 at his feetH7272, and bowedH7812 herself to the groundH0776, and took upH5375 her sonH1121, and went outH3318.

38And ElishaH0477 came againH7725 to GilgalH1537: and there was a dearthH7458 in the landH0776; and the sonsH1121 of the prophetsH5030 were sittingH3427 beforeH6440 him: and he saidH0559 unto his servantH5288, SetH8239 on the greatH1419 potH5518, and seetheH1310 pottageH5138 for the sonsH1121 of the prophetsH5030. 39And oneH0259 went outH3318 into the fieldH7704 to gatherH3950 herbsH0219, and foundH4672 a wildH7704 vineH1612, and gatheredH3950 thereof wildH7704 gourdsH6498 his lapH0899 fullH4393, and cameH0935 and shredH6398 them into the potH5518 of pottageH5138: for they knewH3045 them not. 40So they poured outH3332 for the menH0582 to eatH0398. And it came to pass, as they were eatingH0398 of the pottageH5138, that they cried outH6817, and saidH0559, O thou manH0376 of GodH0430, there is deathH4194 in the potH5518. And they couldH3201 not eatH0398 thereof . 41But he saidH0559, Then bringH3947 mealH7058. And he castH7993 it into the potH5518; and he saidH0559, Pour outH3332 for the peopleH5971, that they may eatH0398. And there was no harmH1697 in the potH5518.

42And there cameH0935 a manH0376 from Baal-shalishaH1190, and broughtH0935 the manH0376 of GodH0430 breadH3899 of the firstfruitsH1061, twentyH6242 loavesH3899 of barleyH8184, and full ears of cornH3759 in the huskH6861 thereof. And he saidH0559, GiveH5414 unto the peopleH5971, that they may eatH0398. 43And his servitorH8334 saidH0559, What, should I setH5414 this beforeH6440 an hundredH3967 menH0376? He said againH0559, GiveH5414 the peopleH5971, that they may eatH0398: for thus saithH0559 the LORDH3068, They shall eatH0398, and shall leaveH3498 thereof . 44So he setH5414 it beforeH6440 them, and they did eatH0398, and leftH3498 thereof , according to the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068.

2 Kings: Chapter 5

1Now NaamanH5283, captainH8269 of the hostH6635 of the kingH4428 of SyriaH0758, was a greatH1419 manH0376 withH6440 his masterH0113, and honourableH5375, because by him the LORDH3068 had givenH5414 deliveranceH8668 unto SyriaH0758: he was also a mightyH1368 manH0376 in valourH2428, but he was a leperH6879. 2And the SyriansH0758 had gone outH3318 by companiesH1416, and had brought away captiveH7617 out of the landH0776 of IsraelH3478 a littleH6996 maidH5291; and she waited onH6440 NaamansH5283 wifeH0802. 3And she saidH0559 unto her mistressH1404, WouldH0305 God my lordH0113 were withH6440 the prophetH5030 that is in SamariaH8111! forH0227 he would recoverH0622 him of his leprosyH6883. 4And one went inH0935, and toldH5046 his lordH0113, sayingH0559, Thus and thus saidH1696 the maidH5291 that is of the landH0776 of IsraelH3478. 5And the kingH4428 of SyriaH0758 saidH0559, Go toH3212, goH0935, and I will sendH7971 a letterH5612 unto the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478. And he departedH3212, and tookH3947 with himH3027 tenH6235 talentsH3603 of silverH3701, and sixH8337 thousandH0505 pieces of goldH2091, and tenH6235 changesH2487 of raimentH0899. 6And he broughtH0935 the letterH5612 to the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478, sayingH0559, Now when this letterH5612 is comeH0935 unto thee, behold, I have therewith sentH7971 NaamanH5283 my servantH5650 to thee, that thou mayest recoverH0622 him of his leprosyH6883. 7And it came to pass, when the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 had readH7121 the letterH5612, that he rentH7167 his clothesH0899, and saidH0559, Am I GodH0430, to killH4191 and to make aliveH2421, that this manH2088 doth sendH7971 unto me to recoverH0622 a manH0376 of his leprosyH6883? whereforeH0389 considerH3045, I pray you, and seeH7200 how he seeketh a quarrelH0579 against me.

8And it was so , when ElishaH0477 the manH0376 of GodH0430 had heardH8085 that the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 had rentH7167 his clothesH0899, that he sentH7971 to the kingH4428, sayingH0559, Wherefore hast thou rentH7167 thy clothesH0899? let him comeH0935 now to me, and he shall knowH3045 that there isH3426 a prophetH5030 in IsraelH3478.

9So NaamanH5283 cameH0935 with his horsesH5483 and with his chariotH7393, and stoodH5975 at the doorH6607 of the houseH1004 of ElishaH0477. 10And ElishaH0477 sentH7971 a messengerH4397 unto him, sayingH0559, GoH1980 and washH7364 in JordanH3383 sevenH7651 timesH6471, and thy fleshH1320 shall come againH7725 to thee, and thou shalt be cleanH2891. 11But NaamanH5283 was wrothH7107, and went awayH3212, and saidH0559, Behold, I thoughtH0559, He will surelyH3318 come outH3318 to me, and standH5975, and callH7121 on the nameH8034 of the LORDH3068 his GodH0430, and strikeH5130 his handH3027 over the placeH4725, and recoverH0622 the leperH6879. 12 Are not AbanaH0071 and PharparH6554, riversH5104 of DamascusH1834, betterH2896 than all the watersH4325 of IsraelH3478? may I not washH7364 in them, and be cleanH2891? So he turnedH6437 and went awayH3212 in a rageH2534. 13And his servantsH5650 came nearH5066, and spakeH1696 unto him, and saidH0559, My fatherH0001, if the prophetH5030 had bidH1696 thee do some greatH1419 thingH1697, wouldest thou not have doneH6213 it ? how much rather thenH0637, when he saithH0559 to thee, WashH7364, and be cleanH2891? 14Then went he downH3381, and dippedH2881 himself sevenH7651 timesH6471 in JordanH3383, according to the sayingH1697 of the manH0376 of GodH0430: and his fleshH1320 came againH7725 like unto the fleshH1320 of a littleH6996 childH5288, and he was cleanH2891.

15And he returnedH7725 to the manH0376 of GodH0430, he and all his companyH4264, and cameH0935, and stoodH5975 beforeH6440 him: and he saidH0559, Behold, now I knowH3045 that there is no GodH0430 in all the earthH0776, but in IsraelH3478: now therefore, I pray thee, takeH3947 a blessingH1293 of thy servantH5650. 16But he saidH0559, As the LORDH3068 livethH2416, beforeH6440 whom I standH5975, I will receiveH3947 none. And he urgedH6484 him to takeH3947 it; but he refusedH3985. 17And NaamanH5283 saidH0559, Shall there not then, I pray thee, be givenH5414 to thy servantH5650 twoH6776 mulesH6505 burdenH4853 of earthH0127? for thy servantH5650 will henceforth offerH6213 neither burnt offeringH5930 nor sacrificeH2077 unto otherH0312 godsH0430, but unto the LORDH3068. 18In this thingH1697 the LORDH3068 pardonH5545 thy servantH5650, that when my masterH0113 goethH0935 into the houseH1004 of RimmonH7417 to worshipH7812 there, and he leanethH8172 on my handH3027, and I bowH7812 myself in the houseH1004 of RimmonH7417: when I bow downH7812 myself in the houseH1004 of RimmonH7417, the LORDH3068 pardonH5545 thy servantH5650 in this thingH1697. 19And he saidH0559 unto him, GoH3212 in peaceH7965. So he departedH3212 from him a littleH3530 wayH0776.

20But GehaziH1522, the servantH5288 of ElishaH0477 the manH0376 of GodH0430, saidH0559, Behold, my masterH0113 hath sparedH2820 NaamanH5283 this SyrianH0761, in not receivingH3947 at his handsH3027 that which he broughtH0935: but, as the LORDH3068 livethH2416, I will runH7323 afterH0310 him, and takeH3947 somewhatH3972 of him. 21So GehaziH1522 followedH7291 afterH0310 NaamanH5283. And when NaamanH5283 sawH7200 him runningH7323 afterH0310 him, he lighted downH5307 from the chariotH4818 to meetH7125 him, and saidH0559, Is all wellH7965? 22And he saidH0559, All is wellH7965. My masterH0113 hath sentH7971 me, sayingH0559, Behold, even now there be comeH0935 to me from mountH2022 EphraimH0669 twoH8147 young menH5288 of the sonsH1121 of the prophetsH5030: giveH5414 them, I pray thee, a talentH3603 of silverH3701, and twoH8147 changesH2487 of garmentsH0899. 23And NaamanH5283 saidH0559, Be contentH2974, takeH3947 two talentsH3603. And he urgedH6555 him, and boundH6696 twoH8147 talentsH3603 of silverH3701 in twoH8147 bagsH2754, with twoH8147 changesH2487 of garmentsH0899, and laidH5414 them upon twoH8147 of his servantsH5288; and they bareH5375 them beforeH6440 him. 24And when he cameH0935 to the towerH6076, he tookH3947 them from their handH3027, and bestowedH6485 them in the houseH1004: and he let the menH0582 goH7971, and they departedH3212. 25But he went inH0935, and stoodH5975 before his masterH0113. And ElishaH0477 saidH0559 unto him, WhenceH0370 comest thou , GehaziH1522? And he saidH0559, Thy servantH5650 wentH1980 no whitherH0575. 26And he saidH0559 unto him, WentH1980 not mine heartH3820 with thee , when the manH0376 turnedH2015 again from his chariotH4818 to meetH7125 thee? Is it a timeH6256 to receiveH3947 moneyH3701, and to receiveH3947 garmentsH0899, and oliveyardsH2132, and vineyardsH3754, and sheepH6629, and oxenH1241, and menservantsH5650, and maidservantsH8198? 27The leprosyH6883 therefore of NaamanH5283 shall cleaveH1692 unto thee, and unto thy seedH2233 for everH5769. And he went outH3318 from his presenceH6440 a leperH6879 as white as snowH7950.

2 Kings: Chapter 6

1And the sonsH1121 of the prophetsH5030 saidH0559 untoH6440 ElishaH0477, Behold now, the placeH4725 where we dwellH3427 with thee is too straitH6862 for us. 2Let us goH3212, we pray thee, unto JordanH3383, and takeH3947 thence every manH0376 aH0259 beamH6982, and let us makeH6213 us a placeH4725 there, where we may dwellH3427. And he answeredH0559, GoH3212 ye. 3And oneH0259 saidH0559, Be contentH2974, I pray thee, and goH3212 with thy servantsH5650. And he answeredH0559, I will goH3212. 4So he wentH3212 with them. And when they cameH0935 to JordanH3383, they cut downH1504 woodH6086. 5But as oneH0259 was fellingH5307 a beamH6982, the axe headH1270 fellH5307 into the waterH4325: and he criedH6817, and saidH0559, AlasH0162, masterH0113! for it was borrowedH7592. 6And the manH0376 of GodH0430 saidH0559, WhereH0575 fellH5307 it? And he shewedH7200 him the placeH4725. And he cut downH7094 a stickH6086, and castH7993 it in thither; and the ironH1270 did swimH6687. 7Therefore saidH0559 he, Take it upH7311 to thee. And he put outH7971 his handH3027, and tookH3947 it.

8Then the kingH4428 of SyriaH0758 warredH3898 against IsraelH3478, and took counselH3289 with his servantsH5650, sayingH0559, In suchH6423 and suchH0492 a placeH4725 shall be my campH8466. 9And the manH0376 of GodH0430 sentH7971 unto the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478, sayingH0559, BewareH8104 that thou passH5674 not suchH2088 a placeH4725; for thither the SyriansH0758 are come downH5185. 10And the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 sentH7971 to the placeH4725 which the manH0376 of GodH0430 toldH0559 him and warnedH2094 him of, and savedH8104 himself there, not onceH0259 nor twiceH8147. 11Therefore the heartH3820 of the kingH4428 of SyriaH0758 was sore troubledH5590 for this thingH1697; and he calledH7121 his servantsH5650, and saidH0559 unto them, Will ye not shewH5046 me which of us is for the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478? 12And oneH0259 of his servantsH5650 saidH0559, None, my lordH0113, O kingH4428: but ElishaH0477, the prophetH5030 that is in IsraelH3478, tellethH5046 the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 the wordsH1697 that thou speakestH1696 in thy bedchamberH2315.

13And he saidH0559, GoH3212 and spyH7200 whereH0351 he is , that I may sendH7971 and fetchH3947 him. And it was toldH5046 him, sayingH0559, Behold, he is in DothanH1886. 14Therefore sentH7971 he thither horsesH5483, and chariotsH7393, and a greatH3515 hostH2428: and they cameH0935 by nightH3915, and compassedH5362 the cityH5892 aboutH5362. 15And when the servantH8334 of the manH0376 of GodH0430 was risenH6965 earlyH7925, and gone forthH3318, behold, an hostH2428 compassedH5437 the cityH5892 both with horsesH5483 and chariotsH7393. And his servantH5288 saidH0559 unto him, AlasH0162, my masterH0113! how shall we doH6213? 16And he answeredH0559, FearH3372 not: for they that be with us are moreH7227 than they that be with them. 17And ElishaH0477 prayedH6419, and saidH0559, LORDH3068, I pray thee, openH6491 his eyesH5869, that he may seeH7200. And the LORDH3068 openedH6491 the eyesH5869 of the young manH5288; and he sawH7200: and, behold, the mountainH2022 was fullH4390 of horsesH5483 and chariotsH7393 of fireH0784 round aboutH5439 ElishaH0477. 18And when they came downH3381 to him, ElishaH0477 prayedH6419 unto the LORDH3068, and saidH0559, SmiteH5221 this peopleH1471, I pray thee, with blindnessH5575. And he smoteH5221 them with blindnessH5575 according to the wordH1697 of ElishaH0477.

19And ElishaH0477 saidH0559 unto them, This is not the wayH1870, neither is thisH2090 the cityH5892: followH3212 me, and I will bringH3212 you to the manH0376 whom ye seekH1245. But he ledH3212 them to SamariaH8111. 20And it came to pass, when they were comeH0935 into SamariaH8111, that ElishaH0477 saidH0559, LORDH3068, openH6491 the eyesH5869 of these men , that they may seeH7200. And the LORDH3068 openedH6491 their eyesH5869, and they sawH7200; and, behold, they were in the midstH8432 of SamariaH8111. 21And the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 saidH0559 unto ElishaH0477, when he sawH7200 them, My fatherH0001, shall I smiteH5221 them ? shall I smiteH5221 them ? 22And he answeredH0559, Thou shalt not smiteH5221 them: wouldest thou smiteH5221 those whom thou hast taken captiveH7617 with thy swordH2719 and with thy bowH7198? setH7760 breadH3899 and waterH4325 beforeH6440 them, that they may eatH0398 and drinkH8354, and goH3212 to their masterH0113. 23And he preparedH3739 greatH1419 provisionH3740 for them: and when they had eatenH0398 and drunkH8354, he sent them awayH7971, and they wentH3212 to their masterH0113. So the bandsH1416 of SyriaH0758 cameH0935 no moreH3254 into the landH0776 of IsraelH3478.

24And it came to pass after thisH0310, that Ben-hadadH1130 kingH4428 of SyriaH0758 gatheredH6908 all his hostH4264, and went upH5927, and besiegedH6696 SamariaH8111. 25And there was a greatH1419 famineH7458 in SamariaH8111: and, behold, they besiegedH6696 it, until an asssH2543 headH7218 was sold for fourscoreH8084 pieces of silverH3701, and the fourth partH7255 of a cabH6894 of doves dungH1686 for fiveH2568 pieces of silverH3701. 26And as the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 was passing byH5674 upon the wallH2346, there criedH6817 a womanH0802 unto him, sayingH0559, HelpH3467, my lordH0113, O kingH4428. 27And he saidH0559, If the LORDH3068 do not helpH3467 thee, whenceH0370 shall I helpH3467 thee? out of the barnfloorH1637, or out of the winepressH3342? 28And the kingH4428 saidH0559 unto her, What aileth thee? And she answeredH0559, This womanH0802 saidH0559 unto me, GiveH5414 thy sonH1121, that we may eatH0398 him to dayH3117, and we will eatH0398 my sonH1121 to morrowH4279. 29So we boiledH1310 my sonH1121, and did eatH0398 him: and I saidH0559 unto her on the nextH0312 dayH3117, GiveH5414 thy sonH1121, that we may eatH0398 him: and she hath hidH2244 her sonH1121.

30And it came to pass, when the kingH4428 heardH8085 the wordsH1697 of the womanH0802, that he rentH7167 his clothesH0899; and he passed byH5674 upon the wallH2346, and the peopleH5971 lookedH7200, and, behold, he had sackclothH8242 withinH1004 upon his fleshH1320. 31Then he saidH0559, GodH0430 doH6213 so and moreH3254 also to me, if the headH7218 of ElishaH0477 the sonH1121 of ShaphatH8202 shall standH5975 on him this dayH3117. 32But ElishaH0477 satH3427 in his houseH1004, and the eldersH2205 satH3427 with him; and the king sentH7971 a manH0376 from beforeH6440 him: but ere the messengerH4397 cameH0935 to him, he saidH0559 to the eldersH2205, SeeH7200 ye how this sonH1121 of a murdererH7523 hath sentH7971 to take awayH5493 mine headH7218? lookH7200, when the messengerH4397 comethH0935, shutH5462 the doorH1817, and hold him fastH3905 at the doorH1817: is not the soundH6963 of his mastersH0113 feetH7272 behindH0310 him? 33And while he yet talkedH1696 with them, behold, the messengerH4397 came downH3381 unto him: and he saidH0559, Behold, this evilH7451 is of the LORDH3068; what should I waitH3176 for the LORDH3068 any longer?

2 Kings: Chapter 7

1Then ElishaH0477 saidH0559, HearH8085 ye the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068; Thus saithH0559 the LORDH3068, To morrowH4279 about this timeH6256 shall a measureH5429 of fine flourH5560 be sold for a shekelH8255, and two measuresH5429 of barleyH8184 for a shekelH8255, in the gateH8179 of SamariaH8111. 2Then a lordH7991 on whose handH3027 the kingH4428 leanedH8172 answeredH6030 the manH0376 of GodH0430, and saidH0559, Behold, if the LORDH3068 would makeH6213 windowsH0699 in heavenH8064, might this thingH1697 be? And he saidH0559, Behold, thou shalt seeH7200 it with thine eyesH5869, but shalt not eatH0398 thereof.

3And there were fourH0702 leprousH6879 menH0582 at the entering inH6607 of the gateH8179: and they saidH0559 oneH0376 to anotherH7453, Why sitH3427 we here until we dieH4191? 4If we sayH0559, We will enterH0935 into the cityH5892, then the famineH7458 is in the cityH5892, and we shall dieH4191 there: and if we sit stillH3427 here, we dieH4191 also. Now therefore comeH3212, and let us fallH5307 unto the hostH4264 of the SyriansH0758: if they save us aliveH2421, we shall liveH2421; and if they killH4191 us, we shall but dieH4191. 5And they rose upH6965 in the twilightH5399, to goH0935 unto the campH4264 of the SyriansH0758: and when they were comeH0935 to the uttermost partH7097 of the campH4264 of SyriaH0758, behold, there was no manH0376 there. 6For the LordH0136 had made the hostH4264 of the SyriansH0758 to hearH8085 a noiseH6963 of chariotsH7393, and a noiseH6963 of horsesH5483, even the noiseH6963 of a greatH1419 hostH2428: and they saidH0559 oneH0376 to anotherH0251, Lo, the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 hath hiredH7936 against us the kingsH4428 of the HittitesH2850, and the kingsH4428 of the EgyptiansH4714, to comeH0935 upon us. 7Wherefore they aroseH6965 and fledH5127 in the twilightH5399, and leftH5800 their tentsH0168, and their horsesH5483, and their assesH2543, even the campH4264 as it was , and fledH5127 for their lifeH5315. 8And when these lepersH6879 cameH0935 to the uttermost partH7097 of the campH4264, they wentH0935 into oneH0259 tentH0168, and did eatH0398 and drinkH8354, and carriedH5375 thence silverH3701, and goldH2091, and raimentH0899, and wentH3212 and hidH2934 it; and came againH7725, and enteredH0935 into anotherH0312 tentH0168, and carriedH5375 thence also , and wentH3212 and hidH2934 it . 9Then they saidH0559 oneH0376 to anotherH7453, We doH6213 not well: this dayH3117 is a dayH3117 of good tidingsH1309, and we hold our peaceH2814: if we tarryH2442 till the morningH1242 lightH0216, some mischiefH5771 will comeH4672 upon us: now therefore comeH3212, that we may goH0935 and tellH5046 the kingsH4428 householdH1004. 10So they cameH0935 and calledH7121 unto the porterH7778 of the cityH5892: and they toldH5046 them, sayingH0559, We cameH0935 to the campH4264 of the SyriansH0758, and, behold, there was no manH0376 there, neither voiceH6963 of manH0120, but horsesH5483 tiedH0631, and assesH2543 tiedH0631, and the tentsH0168 as they were . 11And he calledH7121 the portersH7778; and they toldH5046 it to the kingsH4428 houseH1004 withinH6441.

12And the kingH4428 aroseH6965 in the nightH3915, and saidH0559 unto his servantsH5650, I will now shewH5046 you what the SyriansH0758 have doneH6213 to us. They knowH3045 that we be hungryH7457; therefore are they gone outH3318 of the campH4264 to hideH2247 themselves in the fieldH7704, sayingH0559, When they come outH3318 of the cityH5892, we shall catchH8610 them aliveH2416, and getH0935 into the cityH5892. 13And oneH0259 of his servantsH5650 answeredH6030 and saidH0559, Let some takeH3947, I pray thee, fiveH2568 of the horsesH5483 that remainH7604, which are leftH7604 in the city, (behold, they are as all the multitudeH1995 of IsraelH3478 that are leftH7604 in it: behold, I say , they are even as all the multitudeH1995 of the IsraelitesH3478 that are consumedH8552:) and let us sendH7971 and seeH7200. 14They tookH3947 therefore twoH8147 chariotH7393 horsesH5483; and the kingH4428 sentH7971 afterH0310 the hostH4264 of the SyriansH0758, sayingH0559, GoH3212 and seeH7200. 15And they wentH3212 afterH0310 them unto JordanH3383: and, lo, all the wayH1870 was fullH4392 of garmentsH0899 and vesselsH3627, which the SyriansH0758 had cast awayH7993 in their hasteH2648. And the messengersH4397 returnedH7725, and toldH5046 the kingH4428. 16And the peopleH5971 went outH3318, and spoiledH0962 the tentsH4264 of the SyriansH0758. So a measureH5429 of fine flourH5560 was sold for a shekelH8255, and two measuresH5429 of barleyH8184 for a shekelH8255, according to the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068.

17And the kingH4428 appointedH6485 the lordH7991 on whose handH3027 he leanedH8172 to have the charge of the gateH8179: and the peopleH5971 trodeH7429 upon him in the gateH8179, and he diedH4191, as the manH0376 of GodH0430 had saidH1696, who spakeH1696 when the kingH4428 came downH3381 to him. 18And it came to pass as the manH0376 of GodH0430 had spokenH1696 to the kingH4428, sayingH0559, Two measuresH5429 of barleyH8184 for a shekelH8255, and a measureH5429 of fine flourH5560 for a shekelH8255, shall be to morrowH4279 about this timeH6256 in the gateH8179 of SamariaH8111: 19And that lordH7991 answeredH6030 the manH0376 of GodH0430, and saidH0559, Now, behold, if the LORDH3068 should makeH6213 windowsH0699 in heavenH8064, might such a thingH1697 be? And he saidH0559, Behold, thou shalt seeH7200 it with thine eyesH5869, but shalt not eatH0398 thereof. 20And so it fell out unto him: for the peopleH5971 trodeH7429 upon him in the gateH8179, and he diedH4191.

2 Kings: Chapter 8

1Then spakeH1696 ElishaH0477 unto the womanH0802, whose sonH1121 he had restored to lifeH2421, sayingH0559, AriseH6965, and goH3212 thou and thine householdH1004, and sojournH1481 wheresoeverH0834 thou canst sojournH1481: for the LORDH3068 hath calledH7121 for a famineH7458; and it shall also comeH0935 upon the landH0776 sevenH7651 yearsH8141. 2And the womanH0802 aroseH6965, and didH6213 after the sayingH1697 of the manH0376 of GodH0430: and she wentH3212 with her householdH1004, and sojournedH1481 in the landH0776 of the PhilistinesH6430 sevenH7651 yearsH8141. 3And it came to pass at the sevenH7651 yearsH8141 endH7097, that the womanH0802 returnedH7725 out of the landH0776 of the PhilistinesH6430: and she went forthH3318 to cryH6817 unto the kingH4428 for her houseH1004 and for her landH7704. 4And the kingH4428 talkedH1696 with GehaziH1522 the servantH5288 of the manH0376 of GodH0430, sayingH0559, TellH5608 me, I pray thee, all the great thingsH1419 that ElishaH0477 hath doneH6213. 5And it came to pass, as he was tellingH5608 the kingH4428 how he had restoredH2421 a dead bodyH4191 to lifeH2421, that, behold, the womanH0802, whose sonH1121 he had restored to lifeH2421, criedH6817 to the kingH4428 for her houseH1004 and for her landH7704. And GehaziH1522 saidH0559, My lordH0113, O kingH4428, this is the womanH0802, and this is her sonH1121, whom ElishaH0477 restored to lifeH2421. 6And when the kingH4428 askedH7592 the womanH0802, she toldH5608 him. So the kingH4428 appointedH5414 unto her a certainH0259 officerH5631, sayingH0559, RestoreH7725 all that was hers, and all the fruitsH8393 of the fieldH7704 since the dayH3117 that she leftH5800 the landH0776, even until now.

7And ElishaH0477 cameH0935 to DamascusH1834; and Ben-hadadH1130 the kingH4428 of SyriaH0758 was sickH2470; and it was toldH5046 him, sayingH0559, The manH0376 of GodH0430 is comeH0935 hitherH2008. 8And the kingH4428 saidH0559 unto HazaelH2371, TakeH3947 a presentH4503 in thine handH3027, and goH3212, meetH7125 the manH0376 of GodH0430, and enquireH1875 of the LORDH3068 by him, sayingH0559, Shall I recoverH2421 of this diseaseH2483? 9So HazaelH2371 wentH3212 to meetH7125 him, and tookH3947 a presentH4503 with himH3027, even of every good thingH2898 of DamascusH1834, fortyH0705 camelsH1581 burdenH4853, and cameH0935 and stoodH5975 beforeH6440 him, and saidH0559, Thy sonH1121 Ben-hadadH1130 kingH4428 of SyriaH0758 hath sentH7971 me to thee, sayingH0559, Shall I recoverH2421 of this diseaseH2483? 10And ElishaH0477 saidH0559 unto him, GoH3212, sayH0559 unto him, Thou mayest certainlyH2421 recoverH2421: howbeit the LORDH3068 hath shewedH7200 me that he shall surelyH4191 dieH4191. 11And he settledH5975 his countenanceH6440 stedfastlyH7760, until he was ashamedH0954: and the manH0376 of GodH0430 weptH1058. 12And HazaelH2371 saidH0559, Why weepethH1058 my lordH0113? And he answeredH0559, Because I knowH3045 the evilH7451 that thou wilt doH6213 unto the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478: their strong holdsH4013 wilt thou setH7971 on fireH0784, and their young menH0970 wilt thou slayH2026 with the swordH2719, and wilt dashH7376 their childrenH5768, and rip upH1234 their women with childH2030. 13And HazaelH2371 saidH0559, But what, is thy servantH5650 a dogH3611, that he should doH6213 this greatH1419 thingH1697? And ElishaH0477 answeredH0559, The LORDH3068 hath shewedH7200 me that thou shalt be kingH4428 over SyriaH0758. 14So he departedH3212 from ElishaH0477, and cameH0935 to his masterH0113; who saidH0559 to him, What saidH0559 ElishaH0477 to thee? And he answeredH0559, He toldH0559 me that thou shouldest surelyH2421 recoverH2421. 15And it came to pass on the morrowH4283, that he tookH3947 a thick clothH4346, and dippedH2881 it in waterH4325, and spreadH6566 it on his faceH6440, so that he diedH4191: and HazaelH2371 reignedH4427 in his stead.

16And in the fifthH2568 yearH8141 of JoramH3141 the sonH1121 of AhabH0256 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478, JehoshaphatH3092 being then kingH4428 of JudahH3063, JehoramH3088 the sonH1121 of JehoshaphatH3092 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 began to reignH4427. 17ThirtyH7970 and twoH8147 yearsH8141 oldH1121 was he when he began to reignH4427; and he reignedH4427 eightH8083 yearsH8141 in JerusalemH3389. 18And he walkedH3212 in the wayH1870 of the kingsH4428 of IsraelH3478, as didH6213 the houseH1004 of AhabH0256: for the daughterH1323 of AhabH0256 was his wifeH0802: and he didH6213 evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068. 19Yet the LORDH3068 wouldH0014 not destroyH7843 JudahH3063 for DavidH1732 his servantsH5650 sake, as he promisedH0559 him to giveH5414 him alwayH3117 a lightH5216, and to his childrenH1121.

20In his daysH3117 EdomH0123 revoltedH6586 from under the handH3027 of JudahH3063, and madeH4427 a kingH4428 over themselves. 21So JoramH3141 went overH5674 to ZairH6811, and all the chariotsH7393 with him: and he roseH6965 by nightH3915, and smoteH5221 the EdomitesH0123 which compassed him aboutH5437, and the captainsH8269 of the chariotsH7393: and the peopleH5971 fledH5127 into their tentsH0168. 22Yet EdomH0123 revoltedH6586 from under the handH3027 of JudahH3063 unto this dayH3117. Then LibnahH3841 revoltedH6586 at the sameH1931 timeH6256. 23And the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of JoramH3141, and all that he didH6213, are they not writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of the chroniclesH1697 of the kingsH4428 of JudahH3063? 24And JoramH3141 sleptH7901 with his fathersH0001, and was buriedH6912 with his fathersH0001 in the cityH5892 of DavidH1732: and AhaziahH0274 his sonH1121 reignedH4427 in his stead.

25In the twelfthH8147 yearH8141 of JoramH3141 the sonH1121 of AhabH0256 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 did AhaziahH0274 the sonH1121 of JehoramH3088 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 begin to reignH4427. 26TwoH8147 and twentyH6242 yearsH8141 oldH1121 was AhaziahH0274 when he began to reignH4427; and he reignedH4427 oneH0259 yearH8141 in JerusalemH3389. And his mothersH0517 nameH8034 was AthaliahH6271, the daughterH1323 of OmriH6018 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478. 27And he walkedH3212 in the wayH1870 of the houseH1004 of AhabH0256, and didH6213 evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068, as did the houseH1004 of AhabH0256: for he was the son in lawH2860 of the houseH1004 of AhabH0256.

28And he wentH3212 with JoramH3141 the sonH1121 of AhabH0256 to the warH4421 against HazaelH2371 kingH4428 of SyriaH0758 in Ramoth-gileadH7433; and the SyriansH0761 woundedH5221 JoramH3141. 29And kingH4428 JoramH3141 went backH7725 to be healedH7495 in JezreelH3157 of the woundsH4347 which the SyriansH0761 had givenH5221 him at RamahH7414, when he foughtH3898 against HazaelH2371 kingH4428 of SyriaH0758. And AhaziahH0274 the sonH1121 of JehoramH3088 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 went downH3381 to seeH7200 JoramH3141 the sonH1121 of AhabH0256 in JezreelH3157, because he was sickH2470.

2 Kings: Chapter 9

1And ElishaH0477 the prophetH5030 calledH7121 oneH0259 of the childrenH1121 of the prophetsH5030, and saidH0559 unto him, Gird upH2296 thy loinsH4975, and takeH3947 this boxH6378 of oilH8081 in thine handH3027, and goH3212 to Ramoth-gileadH7433: 2And when thou comestH0935 thither, look outH7200 there JehuH3058 the sonH1121 of JehoshaphatH3092 the sonH1121 of NimshiH5250, and go inH0935, and make him arise upH6965 from amongH8432 his brethrenH0251, and carryH0935 him to an innerH2315 chamberH2315; 3Then takeH3947 the boxH6378 of oilH8081, and pourH3332 it on his headH7218, and sayH0559, Thus saithH0559 the LORDH3068, I have anointedH4886 thee kingH4428 over IsraelH3478. Then openH6605 the doorH1817, and fleeH5127, and tarryH2442 not.

4So the young manH5288, even the young manH5288 the prophetH5030, wentH3212 to Ramoth-gileadH7433. 5And when he cameH0935, behold, the captainsH8269 of the hostH2428 were sittingH3427; and he saidH0559, I have an errandH1697 to thee, O captainH8269. And JehuH3058 saidH0559, Unto which of all us? And he saidH0559, To thee, O captainH8269. 6And he aroseH6965, and wentH0935 into the houseH1004; and he pouredH3332 the oilH8081 on his headH7218, and saidH0559 unto him, Thus saithH0559 the LORDH3068 GodH0430 of IsraelH3478, I have anointedH4886 thee kingH4428 over the peopleH5971 of the LORDH3068, even over IsraelH3478. 7And thou shalt smiteH5221 the houseH1004 of AhabH0256 thy masterH0113, that I may avengeH5358 the bloodH1818 of my servantsH5650 the prophetsH5030, and the bloodH1818 of all the servantsH5650 of the LORDH3068, at the handH3027 of JezebelH0348. 8For the whole houseH1004 of AhabH0256 shall perishH0006: and I will cut offH3772 from AhabH0256 him that pissethH8366 against the wallH7023, and him that is shut upH6113 and leftH5800 in IsraelH3478: 9And I will makeH5414 the houseH1004 of AhabH0256 like the houseH1004 of JeroboamH3379 the sonH1121 of NebatH5028, and like the houseH1004 of BaashaH1201 the sonH1121 of AhijahH0281: 10And the dogsH3611 shall eatH0398 JezebelH0348 in the portionH2506 of JezreelH3157, and there shall be none to buryH6912 her . And he openedH6605 the doorH1817, and fledH5127.

11Then JehuH3058 came forthH3318 to the servantsH5650 of his lordH0113: and one saidH0559 unto him, Is all wellH7965? wherefore cameH0935 this madH7696 fellow to thee? And he saidH0559 unto them, Ye knowH3045 the manH0376, and his communicationH7879. 12And they saidH0559, It is falseH8267; tellH5046 us now. And he saidH0559, Thus and thus spakeH0559 he to me, sayingH0559, Thus saithH0559 the LORDH3068, I have anointedH4886 thee kingH4428 over IsraelH3478. 13Then they hastedH4116, and tookH3947 every manH0376 his garmentH0899, and putH7760 it under him on the topH1634 of the stairsH4609, and blewH8628 with trumpetsH7782, sayingH0559, JehuH3058 is kingH4427. 14So JehuH3058 the sonH1121 of JehoshaphatH3092 the sonH1121 of NimshiH5250 conspiredH7194 against JoramH3141. (Now JoramH3141 had keptH8104 Ramoth-gileadH7433, he and all IsraelH3478, becauseH6440 of HazaelH2371 kingH4428 of SyriaH0758. 15But kingH4428 JoramH3088 was returnedH7725 to be healedH7495 in JezreelH3157 of the woundsH4347 which the SyriansH0761 had givenH5221 him, when he foughtH3898 with HazaelH2371 kingH4428 of SyriaH0758.) And JehuH3058 saidH0559, If it beH3426 your mindsH5315, then let noneH0408 go forthH3318 nor escapeH6412 out of the cityH5892 to goH3212 to tellH5046 it in JezreelH3157.

16So JehuH3058 rode in a chariotH7392, and wentH3212 to JezreelH3157; for JoramH3141 layH7901 there. And AhaziahH0274 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 was come downH3381 to seeH7200 JoramH3141. 17And there stoodH5975 a watchmanH6822 on the towerH4026 in JezreelH3157, and he spiedH7200 the companyH8229 of JehuH3058 as he cameH0935, and saidH0559, I seeH7200 a companyH8229. And JoramH3088 saidH0559, TakeH3947 an horsemanH7395, and sendH7971 to meetH7125 them, and let him sayH0559, Is it peaceH7965? 18So there wentH3212 one on horsebackH7392 to meetH7125 him, and saidH0559, Thus saithH0559 the kingH4428, Is it peaceH7965? And JehuH3058 saidH0559, What hast thou to do with peaceH7965? turnH5437 thee behindH0310 me. And the watchmanH6822 toldH5046, sayingH0559, The messengerH4397 cameH0935 to them, but he cometh not againH7725. 19Then he sent outH7971 a secondH8145 on horsebackH7392, which cameH0935 to them, and saidH0559, Thus saithH0559 the kingH4428, Is it peaceH7965? And JehuH3058 answeredH0559, What hast thou to do with peaceH7965? turnH5437 thee behindH0310 me. 20And the watchmanH6822 toldH5046, sayingH0559, He cameH0935 even unto them, and cometh not againH7725: and the drivingH4491 is like the drivingH4491 of JehuH3058 the sonH1121 of NimshiH5250; for he drivethH5090 furiouslyH7697. 21And JoramH3088 saidH0559, Make readyH0631. And his chariotH7393 was made readyH0631. And JoramH3088 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 and AhaziahH0274 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 went outH3318, eachH0376 in his chariotH7393, and they went outH3318 againstH7125 JehuH3058, and metH4672 him in the portionH2513 of NabothH5022 the JezreeliteH3158. 22And it came to pass, when JoramH3088 sawH7200 JehuH3058, that he saidH0559, Is it peaceH7965, JehuH3058? And he answeredH0559, What peaceH7965, so long asH5704 the whoredomsH2183 of thy motherH0517 JezebelH0348 and her witchcraftsH3785 are so manyH7227? 23And JoramH3088 turnedH2015 his handsH3027, and fledH5127, and saidH0559 to AhaziahH0274, There is treacheryH4820, O AhaziahH0274. 24And JehuH3058 drew a bowH7198 with his fullH4390 strengthH3027, and smoteH5221 JehoramH3088 between his armsH2220, and the arrowH2678 went outH3318 at his heartH3820, and he sunk downH3766 in his chariotH7393. 25Then saidH0559 Jehu to BidkarH0920 his captainH7991, Take upH5375, and castH7993 him in the portionH2513 of the fieldH7704 of NabothH5022 the JezreeliteH3158: for rememberH2142 how that, when I and thou rodeH7392 togetherH6776 afterH0310 AhabH0256 his fatherH0001, the LORDH3068 laidH5375 this burdenH4853 upon him; 26Surely I have seenH7200 yesterdayH0570 the bloodH1818 of NabothH5022, and the bloodH1818 of his sonsH1121, saithH5002 the LORDH3068; and I will requiteH7999 thee in this platH2513, saithH5002 the LORDH3068. Now therefore takeH5375 and castH7993 him into the platH2513 of ground , according to the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068.

27But when AhaziahH0274 the kingH4428 of JudahH3063 sawH7200 this , he fledH5127 by the wayH1870 of the gardenH1588 houseH1004. And JehuH3058 followedH7291 afterH0310 him, and saidH0559, SmiteH5221 him also in the chariotH4818. And they did so at the going upH4608 to GurH1483, which is by IbleamH2991. And he fledH5127 to MegiddoH4023, and diedH4191 there. 28And his servantsH5650 carriedH7392 him in a chariot to JerusalemH3389, and buriedH6912 him in his sepulchreH6900 with his fathersH0001 in the cityH5892 of DavidH1732. 29And in the eleventhH0259 yearH8141 of JoramH3141 the sonH1121 of AhabH0256 began AhaziahH0274 to reignH4427 over JudahH3063.

30And when JehuH3058 was comeH0935 to JezreelH3157, JezebelH0348 heardH8085 of it; and she paintedH7760 her faceH5869, and tiredH3190 her headH7218, and looked outH8259 at a windowH2474. 31And as JehuH3058 entered inH0935 at the gateH8179, she saidH0559, Had ZimriH2174 peaceH7965, who slewH2026 his masterH0113? 32And he lifted upH5375 his faceH6440 to the windowH2474, and saidH0559, Who is on my side? who? And there looked outH8259 to him twoH8147 or threeH7969 eunuchsH5631. 33And he saidH0559, Throw her downH8058. So they threw her downH8058: and some of her bloodH1818 was sprinkledH5137 on the wallH7023, and on the horsesH5483: and he trode her under footH7429. 34And when he was come inH0935, he did eatH0398 and drinkH8354, and saidH0559, GoH6485, see now this cursedH0779 woman , and buryH6912 her: for she is a kingsH4428 daughterH1323. 35And they wentH3212 to buryH6912 her: but they foundH4672 no more of her thanH0518 the skullH1538, and the feetH7272, and the palmsH3709 of her handsH3027. 36Wherefore they came againH7725, and toldH5046 him. And he saidH0559, This is the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068, which he spakeH1696 byH3027 his servantH5650 ElijahH0452 the TishbiteH8664, sayingH0559, In the portionH2506 of JezreelH3157 shall dogsH3611 eatH0398 the fleshH1320 of JezebelH0348: 37And the carcaseH5038 of JezebelH0348 shall be as dungH1828 upon the faceH6440 of the fieldH7704 in the portionH2506 of JezreelH3157; so that they shall not sayH0559, This is JezebelH0348.

2 Kings: Chapter 10

1And AhabH0256 had seventyH7657 sonsH1121 in SamariaH8111. And JehuH3058 wroteH3789 lettersH5612, and sentH7971 to SamariaH8111, unto the rulersH8269 of JezreelH3157, to the eldersH2205, and to them that brought upH0539 AhabsH0256 children , sayingH0559, 2Now as soon as this letterH5612 comethH0935 to you, seeing your mastersH0113 sonsH1121 are with you, and there are with you chariotsH7393 and horsesH5483, a fencedH4013 cityH5892 also, and armourH5402; 3Look even outH7200 the bestH2896 and meetestH3477 of your mastersH0113 sonsH1121, and setH7760 him on his fathersH0001 throneH3678, and fightH3898 for your mastersH0113 houseH1004. 4But they were exceedinglyH3966 afraidH3372, and saidH0559, Behold, twoH8147 kingsH4428 stoodH5975 not beforeH6440 him: how then shall we standH5975? 5And he that was over the houseH1004, and he that was over the cityH5892, the eldersH2205 also, and the bringers upH0539 of the children , sentH7971 to JehuH3058, sayingH0559, We are thy servantsH5650, and will doH6213 all that thou shalt bidH0559 us; we will not make anyH0376 kingH4427: doH6213 thou that which is goodH2896 in thine eyesH5869. 6Then he wroteH3789 a letterH5612 the second timeH8145 to them, sayingH0559, If ye be mine, and if ye will hearkenH8085 unto my voiceH6963, takeH3947 ye the headsH7218 of the menH0582 your mastersH0113 sonsH1121, and comeH0935 to me to JezreelH3157 by to morrowH4279 this timeH6256. Now the kingsH4428 sonsH1121, being seventyH7657 personsH0376, were with the great menH1419 of the cityH5892, which brought them upH1431. 7And it came to pass, when the letterH5612 cameH0935 to them, that they tookH3947 the kingsH4428 sonsH1121, and slewH7819 seventyH7657 personsH0376, and putH7760 their headsH7218 in basketsH1731, and sentH7971 him them to JezreelH3157.

8And there cameH0935 a messengerH4397, and toldH5046 him, sayingH0559, They have broughtH0935 the headsH7218 of the kingsH4428 sonsH1121. And he saidH0559, LayH7760 ye them in twoH8147 heapsH6652 at the entering inH6607 of the gateH8179 until the morningH1242. 9And it came to pass in the morningH1242, that he went outH3318, and stoodH5975, and saidH0559 to all the peopleH5971, Ye be righteousH6662: behold, I conspiredH7194 against my masterH0113, and slewH2026 him: but who slewH5221 all these? 10KnowH3045 nowH0645 that there shall fallH5307 unto the earthH0776 nothing of the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068, which the LORDH3068 spakeH1696 concerning the houseH1004 of AhabH0256: for the LORDH3068 hath doneH6213 that which he spakeH1696 byH3027 his servantH5650 ElijahH0452. 11So JehuH3058 slewH5221 all that remainedH7604 of the houseH1004 of AhabH0256 in JezreelH3157, and all his great menH1419, and his kinsfolksH3045, and his priestsH3548, until he leftH7604 him none remainingH8300.

12And he aroseH6965 and departedH0935, and cameH3212 to SamariaH8111. And as he was at the shearingH7462 houseH1004 in the wayH1870, 13 JehuH3058 metH4672 with the brethrenH0251 of AhaziahH0274 kingH4428 of JudahH3063, and saidH0559, Who are ye? And they answeredH0559, We are the brethrenH0251 of AhaziahH0274; and we go downH3381 to saluteH7965 the childrenH1121 of the kingH4428 and the childrenH1121 of the queenH1377. 14And he saidH0559, TakeH8610 them aliveH2416. And they tookH8610 them aliveH2416, and slewH7819 them at the pitH0953 of the shearing houseH1044, even twoH8147 and fortyH0705 menH0376; neither leftH7604 he anyH0376 of them.

15And when he was departedH3212 thence, he lightedH4672 on JehonadabH3082 the sonH1121 of RechabH7394 coming to meetH7125 him: and he salutedH1288 him, and saidH0559 to him, IsH3426 thine heartH3824 rightH3477, as my heartH3824 is with thy heartH3824? And JehonadabH3082 answeredH0559, It isH3426. If it be, giveH5414 me thine handH3027. And he gaveH5414 him his handH3027; and he took him upH5927 to him into the chariotH4818. 16And he saidH0559, ComeH3212 with me, and seeH7200 my zealH7068 for the LORDH3068. So they made him rideH7392 in his chariotH7393. 17And when he cameH0935 to SamariaH8111, he slewH5221 all that remainedH7604 unto AhabH0256 in SamariaH8111, till he had destroyedH8045 him, according to the sayingH1697 of the LORDH3068, which he spakeH1696 to ElijahH0452.

18And JehuH3058 gatheredH6908 all the peopleH5971 togetherH6908, and saidH0559 unto them, AhabH0256 servedH5647 BaalH1168 a littleH4592; but JehuH3058 shall serveH5647 him muchH7235. 19Now therefore callH7121 unto me all the prophetsH5030 of BaalH1168, all his servantsH5647, and all his priestsH3548; let noneH0376 be wantingH6485: for I have a greatH1419 sacrificeH2077 to do to BaalH1168; whosoever shall be wantingH6485, he shall not liveH2421. But JehuH3058 didH6213 it in subtiltyH6122, to the intent that he might destroyH0006 the worshippersH5647 of BaalH1168. 20And JehuH3058 saidH0559, ProclaimH6942 a solemn assemblyH6116 for BaalH1168. And they proclaimedH7121 it . 21And JehuH3058 sentH7971 through all IsraelH3478: and all the worshippersH5647 of BaalH1168 cameH0935, so that there was not a manH0376 leftH7604 that cameH0935 not. And they cameH0935 into the houseH1004 of BaalH1168; and the houseH1004 of BaalH1168 was fullH4390 from one endH6310 to anotherH6310. 22And he saidH0559 unto him that was over the vestryH4458, Bring forthH3318 vestmentsH3830 for all the worshippersH5647 of BaalH1168. And he brought them forthH3318 vestmentsH4403. 23And JehuH3058 wentH0935, and JehonadabH3082 the sonH1121 of RechabH7394, into the houseH1004 of BaalH1168, and saidH0559 unto the worshippersH5647 of BaalH1168, SearchH2664, and lookH7200 that there beH3426 here with you none of the servantsH5650 of the LORDH3068, but the worshippersH5647 of BaalH1168 only. 24And when they went inH0935 to offerH6213 sacrificesH2077 and burnt offeringsH5930, JehuH3058 appointedH7760 fourscoreH8084 menH0376 withoutH2351, and saidH0559, If anyH0376 of the menH0582 whom I have broughtH0935 into your handsH3027 escapeH4422, he that letteth him go , his lifeH5315 shall be for the lifeH5315 of him. 25And it came to pass, as soon as he had made an endH3615 of offeringH6213 the burnt offeringH5930, that JehuH3058 saidH0559 to the guardH7323 and to the captainsH7991, Go inH0935, and slayH5221 them; let noneH0376 come forthH3318. And they smoteH5221 them with the edgeH6310 of the swordH2719; and the guardH7323 and the captainsH7991 cast them outH7993, and wentH3212 to the cityH5892 of the houseH1004 of BaalH1168. 26And they brought forthH3318 the imagesH4676 out of the houseH1004 of BaalH1168, and burnedH8313 them. 27And they brake downH5422 the imageH4676 of BaalH1168, and brake downH5422 the houseH1004 of BaalH1168, and madeH7760 it a draught houseH4163 unto this dayH3117. 28Thus JehuH3058 destroyedH8045 BaalH1168 out of IsraelH3478.

29Howbeit from the sinsH2399 of JeroboamH3379 the sonH1121 of NebatH5028, who made IsraelH3478 to sinH2398, JehuH3058 departedH5493 not from afterH0310 them, to wit , the goldenH2091 calvesH5695 that were in Beth-elH1008, and that were in DanH1835. 30And the LORDH3068 saidH0559 unto JehuH3058, Because thou hast done wellH2895 in executingH6213 that which is rightH3477 in mine eyesH5869, and hast doneH6213 unto the houseH1004 of AhabH0256 according to all that was in mine heartH3824, thy childrenH1121 of the fourthH7243 generation shall sitH3427 on the throneH3678 of IsraelH3478. 31But JehuH3058 took no heedH8104 to walkH3212 in the lawH8451 of the LORDH3068 GodH0430 of IsraelH3478 with all his heartH3824: for he departedH5493 not from the sinsH2403 of JeroboamH3379, which made IsraelH3478 to sinH2398.

32In those daysH3117 the LORDH3068 beganH2490 to cutH7096 IsraelH3478 shortH7096: and HazaelH2371 smoteH5221 them in all the coastsH1366 of IsraelH3478; 33From JordanH3383 eastwardH4217, all the landH0776 of GileadH1568, the GaditesH1425, and the ReubenitesH7206, and the ManassitesH4520, from AroerH6177, which is by the riverH5158 ArnonH0769, even GileadH1568 and BashanH1316. 34Now the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of JehuH3058, and all that he didH6213, and all his mightH1369, are they not writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of the chroniclesH1697 of the kingsH4428 of IsraelH3478? 35And JehuH3058 sleptH7901 with his fathersH0001: and they buriedH6912 him in SamariaH8111. And JehoahazH3059 his sonH1121 reignedH4427 in his stead. 36And the timeH3117 that JehuH3058 reignedH4427 over IsraelH3478 in SamariaH8111 was twentyH6242 and eightH8083 yearsH8141.

2 Kings: Chapter 11

1And when AthaliahH6271 the motherH0517 of AhaziahH0274 sawH7200 that her sonH1121 was deadH4191, she aroseH6965 and destroyedH0006 all the seedH2233 royalH4467. 2But JehoshebaH3089, the daughterH1323 of kingH4428 JoramH3141, sisterH0269 of AhaziahH0274, tookH3947 JoashH3101 the sonH1121 of AhaziahH0274, and stoleH1589 him from amongH8432 the kingsH4428 sonsH1121 which were slainH4191; and they hidH5641 him, even him and his nurseH3243, in the bedchamberH2315 fromH6440 AthaliahH6271, so that he was not slainH4191. 3And he was with her hidH2244 in the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068 sixH8337 yearsH8141. And AthaliahH6271 did reignH4427 over the landH0776.

4And the seventhH7637 yearH8141 JehoiadaH3077 sentH7971 and fetchedH3947 the rulersH8269 over hundredsH3967, with the captainsH3746 and the guardH7323, and broughtH0935 them to him into the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, and madeH3772 a covenantH1285 with them, and took an oathH7650 of them in the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, and shewedH7200 them the kingsH4428 sonH1121. 5And he commandedH6680 them, sayingH0559, This is the thingH1697 that ye shall doH6213; A third partH7992 of you that enter inH0935 on the sabbathH7676 shall even be keepersH8104 of the watchH4931 of the kingsH4428 houseH1004; 6And a third partH7992 shall be at the gateH8179 of SurH5495; and a third partH7992 at the gateH8179 behindH0310 the guardH7323: so shall ye keepH8104 the watchH4931 of the houseH1004, that it be not broken downH4535. 7And twoH8147 partsH3027 of all you that go forthH3318 on the sabbathH7676, even they shall keepH8104 the watchH4931 of the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068 aboutH0413 the kingH4428. 8And ye shall compassH5362 the kingH4428 round aboutH5439, every manH0376 with his weaponsH3627 in his handH3027: and he that comethH0935 within the rangesH7713, let him be slainH4191: and be ye with the kingH4428 as he goeth outH3318 and as he cometh inH0935. 9And the captainsH8269 over the hundredsH3967 didH6213 according to all things that JehoiadaH3077 the priestH3548 commandedH6680: and they tookH3947 every manH0376 his menH0582 that were to come inH0935 on the sabbathH7676, with them that should go outH3318 on the sabbathH7676, and cameH0935 to JehoiadaH3077 the priestH3548. 10And to the captainsH8269 over hundredsH3967 did the priestH3548 giveH5414 kingH4428 DavidsH1732 spearsH2595 and shieldsH7982, that were in the templeH1004 of the LORDH3068. 11And the guardH7323 stoodH5975, every manH0376 with his weaponsH3627 in his handH3027, round aboutH5439 the kingH4428, from the rightH3233 cornerH3802 of the templeH1004 to the leftH8042 cornerH3802 of the templeH1004, along by the altarH4196 and the templeH1004. 12And he brought forthH3318 the kingsH4428 sonH1121, and putH5414 the crownH5145 upon him, and gave him the testimonyH5715; and they made him kingH4427, and anointedH4886 him; and they clappedH5221 their handsH3709, and saidH0559, God saveH2421 the kingH4428.

13And when AthaliahH6271 heardH8085 the noiseH6963 of the guardH7323 and of the peopleH5971, she cameH0935 to the peopleH5971 into the templeH1004 of the LORDH3068. 14And when she lookedH7200, behold, the kingH4428 stoodH5975 by a pillarH5982, as the mannerH4941 was , and the princesH8269 and the trumpetersH2689 by the kingH4428, and all the peopleH5971 of the landH0776 rejoicedH8056, and blewH8628 with trumpetsH2689: and AthaliahH6271 rentH7167 her clothesH0899, and criedH7121, TreasonH7195, TreasonH7195. 15But JehoiadaH3077 the priestH3548 commandedH6680 the captainsH8269 of the hundredsH3967, the officersH6485 of the hostH2428, and saidH0559 unto them, Have her forthH3318 withoutH1004 the rangesH7713: and him that followethH0935 her killH4191 with the swordH2719. For the priestH3548 had saidH0559, Let her not be slainH4191 in the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068. 16And they laidH7760 handsH3027 on her; and she wentH0935 by the wayH1870 by the which the horsesH5483 cameH3996 into the kingsH4428 houseH1004: and there was she slainH4191.

17And JehoiadaH3077 madeH3772 a covenantH1285 between the LORDH3068 and the kingH4428 and the peopleH5971, that they should be the LORDsH3068 peopleH5971; between the kingH4428 also and the peopleH5971. 18And all the peopleH5971 of the landH0776 wentH0935 into the houseH1004 of BaalH1168, and brake it downH5422; his altarsH4196 and his imagesH6754 brake they in piecesH7665 thoroughlyH3190, and slewH2026 MattanH4977 the priestH3548 of BaalH1168 beforeH6440 the altarsH4196. And the priestH3548 appointedH7760 officersH6485 over the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068. 19And he tookH3947 the rulersH8269 over hundredsH3967, and the captainsH3746, and the guardH7323, and all the peopleH5971 of the landH0776; and they brought downH3381 the kingH4428 from the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, and cameH0935 by the wayH1870 of the gateH8179 of the guardH7323 to the kingsH4428 houseH1004. And he satH3427 on the throneH3678 of the kingsH4428. 20And all the peopleH5971 of the landH0776 rejoicedH8055, and the cityH5892 was in quietH8252: and they slewH4191 AthaliahH6271 with the swordH2719 beside the kingsH4428 houseH1004. 21SevenH7651 yearsH8141 oldH1121 was JehoashH3060 when he began to reignH4427.

2 Kings: Chapter 12

1In the seventhH7651 yearH8141 of JehuH3058 JehoashH3060 began to reignH4427; and fortyH0705 yearsH8141 reignedH4427 he in JerusalemH3389. And his mothersH0517 nameH8034 was ZibiahH6645 of Beer-shebaH0884. 2And JehoashH3060 didH6213 that which was rightH3477 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068 all his daysH3117 wherein JehoiadaH3077 the priestH3548 instructedH3384 him. 3But the high placesH1116 were not taken awayH5493: the peopleH5971 still sacrificedH2076 and burnt incenseH6999 in the high placesH1116.

4And JehoashH3060 saidH0559 to the priestsH3548, All the moneyH3701 of the dedicated thingsH6944 that is broughtH0935 into the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, even the moneyH3701 of every oneH0376 that passethH5674 the account , the moneyH3701 that every manH5315 is set atH6187, and all the moneyH3701 that comethH5927 into any mansH0376 heartH3820 to bringH0935 into the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, 5Let the priestsH3548 takeH3947 it to them, every manH0376 of his acquaintanceH4378: and let them repairH2388 the breachesH0919 of the houseH1004, wheresoever any breachH0919 shall be foundH4672. 6But it was so, that in the threeH7969 and twentiethH6242 yearH8141 of kingH4428 JehoashH3060 the priestsH3548 had not repairedH2388 the breachesH0919 of the houseH1004. 7Then kingH4428 JehoashH3060 calledH7121 for JehoiadaH3077 the priestH3548, and the other priestsH3548, and saidH0559 unto them, Why repairH2388 ye not the breachesH0919 of the houseH1004? now therefore receiveH3947 no more moneyH3701 of your acquaintanceH4378, but deliverH5414 it for the breachesH0919 of the houseH1004. 8And the priestsH3548 consentedH0225 to receiveH3947 noH1115 more moneyH3701 of the peopleH5971, neitherH1115 to repairH2388 the breachesH0919 of the houseH1004. 9But JehoiadaH3077 the priestH3548 tookH3947 aH0259 chestH0727, and boredH5344 a holeH2356 in the lidH1817 of it, and setH5414 it besideH0681 the altarH4196, on the right sideH3225 as oneH0376 comethH0935 into the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068: and the priestsH3548 that keptH8104 the doorH5592 putH5414 therein all the moneyH3701 that was broughtH0935 into the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068. 10And it was so , when they sawH7200 that there was muchH7227 moneyH3701 in the chestH0727, that the kingsH4428 scribeH5608 and the highH1419 priestH3548 came upH5927, and they put up in bagsH6696, and toldH4487 the moneyH3701 that was foundH4672 in the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068. 11And they gaveH5414 the moneyH3701, being toldH8505, into the handsH3027 of them that didH6213 the workH4399, that had the oversightH6485 of the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068: and they laid it outH3318 to the carpentersH2796 and buildersH1129, that wroughtH6213 upon the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, 12And to masonsH1443, and hewersH2672 of stoneH0068, and to buyH7069 timberH6086 and hewedH4274 stoneH0068 to repairH2388 the breachesH0919 of the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, and for all that was laid outH3318 for the houseH1004 to repairH2394 it . 13Howbeit there were not madeH6213 for the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068 bowlsH5592 of silverH3701, snuffersH4212, basonsH4219, trumpetsH2689, any vesselsH3627 of goldH2091, or vesselsH3627 of silverH3701, of the moneyH3701 that was broughtH0935 into the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068: 14But they gaveH5414 that to the workmenH4399, and repairedH2388 therewith the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068. 15Moreover they reckonedH2803 not with the menH0582, into whose handH3027 they deliveredH5414 the moneyH3701 to be bestowedH5414 on workmenH4399: for they dealtH6213 faithfullyH0530. 16The trespassH0817 moneyH3701 and sinH2403 moneyH3701 was not broughtH0935 into the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068: it was the priestsH3548.

17Then HazaelH2371 kingH4428 of SyriaH0758 went upH5927, and foughtH3898 against GathH1661, and tookH3920 it: and HazaelH2371 setH7760 his faceH6440 to go upH5927 to JerusalemH3389. 18And JehoashH3060 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 tookH3947 all the hallowed thingsH6944 that JehoshaphatH3092, and JehoramH3088, and AhaziahH0274, his fathersH0001, kingsH4428 of JudahH3063, had dedicatedH6942, and his own hallowed thingsH6944, and all the goldH2091 that was foundH4672 in the treasuresH0214 of the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, and in the kingsH4428 houseH1004, and sentH7971 it to HazaelH2371 kingH4428 of SyriaH0758: and he went awayH5927 from JerusalemH3389.

19And the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of JoashH3101, and all that he didH6213, are they not writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of the chroniclesH1697 of the kingsH4428 of JudahH3063? 20And his servantsH5650 aroseH6965, and madeH7194 a conspiracyH7195, and slewH5221 JoashH3101 in the houseH1004 of MilloH4407, which goeth downH3381 to SillaH5538. 21For JozacharH3108 the sonH1121 of ShimeathH8100, and JehozabadH3075 the sonH1121 of ShomerH7763, his servantsH5650, smoteH5221 him, and he diedH4191; and they buriedH6912 him with his fathersH0001 in the cityH5892 of DavidH1732: and AmaziahH0558 his sonH1121 reignedH4427 in his stead.

2 Kings: Chapter 13

1In the threeH7969 and twentiethH6242 yearH8141 of JoashH3101 the sonH1121 of AhaziahH0274 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 JehoahazH3059 the sonH1121 of JehuH3058 began to reignH4427 over IsraelH3478 in SamariaH8111, and reigned seventeenH7651 yearsH8141. 2And he didH6213 that which was evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068, and followedH3212 the sinsH2403 of JeroboamH3379 the sonH1121 of NebatH5028, which made IsraelH3478 to sinH2398; he departedH5493 not therefrom.

3And the angerH0639 of the LORDH3068 was kindledH2734 against IsraelH3478, and he deliveredH5414 them into the handH3027 of HazaelH2371 kingH4428 of SyriaH0758, and into the handH3027 of Ben-hadadH1130 the sonH1121 of HazaelH2371, all their daysH3117. 4And JehoahazH3059 besoughtH2470 the LORDH3068, and the LORDH3068 hearkenedH8085 untoH6440 him: for he sawH7200 the oppressionH3906 of IsraelH3478, because the kingH4428 of SyriaH0758 oppressedH3905 them. 5(And the LORDH3068 gaveH5414 IsraelH3478 a saviourH3467, so that they went outH3318 from under the handH3027 of the SyriansH0758: and the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 dweltH3427 in their tentsH0168, as beforetimeH8032. 6Nevertheless they departedH5493 not from the sinsH2403 of the houseH1004 of JeroboamH3379, who made IsraelH3478 sinH2398, but walkedH1980 therein: and there remainedH5975 the groveH0842 also in SamariaH8111.) 7Neither did he leaveH7604 of the peopleH5971 to JehoahazH3059 but fiftyH2572 horsemenH6571, and tenH6235 chariotsH7393, and tenH6235 thousandH0505 footmenH7273; for the kingH4428 of SyriaH0758 had destroyedH0006 them, and had madeH7760 them like the dustH6083 by threshingH1758.

8Now the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of JehoahazH3059, and all that he didH6213, and his mightH1369, are they not writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of the chroniclesH1697 of the kingsH4428 of IsraelH3478? 9And JehoahazH3059 sleptH7901 with his fathersH0001; and they buriedH6912 him in SamariaH8111: and JoashH3101 his sonH1121 reignedH4427 in his stead.

10In the thirtyH7970 and seventhH7651 yearH8141 of JoashH3101 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 began JehoashH3060 the sonH1121 of JehoahazH3059 to reignH4427 over IsraelH3478 in SamariaH8111, and reigned sixteenH8337 yearsH8141. 11And he didH6213 that which was evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068; he departedH5493 not from all the sinsH2403 of JeroboamH3379 the sonH1121 of NebatH5028, who made IsraelH3478 sinH2398: but he walkedH1980 therein. 12And the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of JoashH3101, and all that he didH6213, and his mightH1369 wherewith he foughtH3898 against AmaziahH0558 kingH4428 of JudahH3063, are they not writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of the chroniclesH1697 of the kingsH4428 of IsraelH3478? 13And JoashH3101 sleptH7901 with his fathersH0001; and JeroboamH3379 satH3427 upon his throneH3678: and JoashH3101 was buriedH6912 in SamariaH8111 with the kingsH4428 of IsraelH3478.

14Now ElishaH0477 was fallen sickH2470 of his sicknessH2483 whereof he diedH4191. And JoashH3101 the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 came downH3381 unto him, and weptH1058 over his faceH6440, and saidH0559, O my fatherH0001, my fatherH0001, the chariotH7393 of IsraelH3478, and the horsemenH6571 thereof. 15And ElishaH0477 saidH0559 unto him, TakeH3947 bowH7198 and arrowsH2671. And he tookH3947 unto him bowH7198 and arrowsH2671. 16And he saidH0559 to the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478, PutH7392 thine handH3027 upon the bowH7198. And he putH7392 his handH3027 upon it: and ElishaH0477 putH7760 his handsH3027 upon the kingsH4428 handsH3027. 17And he saidH0559, OpenH6605 the windowH2474 eastwardH6924. And he openedH6605 it . Then ElishaH0477 saidH0559, ShootH3384. And he shotH3384. And he saidH0559, The arrowH2671 of the LORDsH3068 deliveranceH8668, and the arrowH2671 of deliveranceH8668 from SyriaH0758: for thou shalt smiteH5221 the SyriansH0758 in AphekH0663, till thou have consumedH3615 them . 18And he saidH0559, TakeH3947 the arrowsH2671. And he tookH3947 them . And he saidH0559 unto the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478, SmiteH5221 upon the groundH0776. And he smoteH5221 thriceH7969, and stayedH5975. 19And the manH0376 of GodH0430 was wrothH7107 with him, and saidH0559, Thou shouldest have smittenH5221 fiveH2568 or sixH8337 timesH6471; then hadst thou smittenH5221 SyriaH0758 till thou hadst consumedH3615 it: whereas now thou shalt smiteH5221 SyriaH0758 but thriceH7969.

20And ElishaH0477 diedH4191, and they buriedH6912 him. And the bandsH1416 of the MoabitesH4124 invadedH0935 the landH0776 at the coming inH0935 of the yearH8141. 21And it came to pass, as they were buryingH6912 a manH0376, that, behold, they spiedH7200 a bandH1416 of men; and they castH7993 the manH0376 into the sepulchreH6913 of ElishaH0477: and when the manH0376 was let downH3212, and touchedH5060 the bonesH6106 of ElishaH0477, he revivedH2421, and stood upH6965 on his feetH7272.

22But HazaelH2371 kingH4428 of SyriaH0758 oppressedH3905 IsraelH3478 all the daysH3117 of JehoahazH3059. 23And the LORDH3068 was graciousH2603 unto them, and had compassionH7355 on them, and had respectH6437 unto them, because ofH4616 his covenantH1285 with AbrahamH0085, IsaacH3327, and JacobH3290, and wouldH0014 not destroyH7843 them, neither castH7993 he them from his presenceH6440 as yetH5704. 24So HazaelH2371 kingH4428 of SyriaH0758 diedH4191; and Ben-hadadH1130 his sonH1121 reignedH4427 in his stead. 25And JehoashH3060 the sonH1121 of JehoahazH3059 tookH3947 againH7725 out of the handH3027 of Ben-hadadH1130 the sonH1121 of HazaelH2371 the citiesH5892, which he had takenH3947 out of the handH3027 of JehoahazH3059 his fatherH0001 by warH4421. ThreeH7969 timesH6471 did JoashH3101 beatH5221 him, and recoveredH7725 the citiesH5892 of IsraelH3478.

2 Kings: Chapter 14

1In the secondH8147 yearH8141 of JoashH3101 sonH1121 of JehoahazH3099 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 reignedH4427 AmaziahH0558 the sonH1121 of JoashH3101 kingH4428 of JudahH3063. 2He was twentyH6242 and fiveH2568 yearsH8141 oldH1121 when he began to reignH4427, and reignedH4427 twentyH6242 and nineH8672 yearsH8141 in JerusalemH3389. And his mothersH0517 nameH8034 was JehoaddanH3086 of JerusalemH3389. 3And he didH6213 that which was rightH3477 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068, yetH7535 not like DavidH1732 his fatherH0001: he didH6213 according to all things as JoashH3101 his fatherH0001 didH6213. 4Howbeit the high placesH1116 were not taken awayH5493: as yetH5750 the peopleH5971 did sacrificeH2076 and burnt incenseH6999 on the high placesH1116.

5And it came to pass, as soon as the kingdomH4467 was confirmedH2388 in his handH3027, that he slewH5221 his servantsH5650 which had slainH5221 the kingH4428 his fatherH0001. 6But the childrenH1121 of the murderersH5221 he slewH4191 not: according unto that which is writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of the lawH8451 of MosesH4872, wherein the LORDH3068 commandedH6680, sayingH0559, The fathersH0001 shall not be put to deathH4191 for the childrenH1121, nor the childrenH1121 be put to deathH4191 for the fathersH0001; but every manH0376 shall be put to deathH4191 for his own sinH2399. 7He slewH5221 of EdomH0123 in the valleyH1516 of saltH4417 tenH6235 thousandH0505, and tookH8610 SelahH5554 by warH4421, and calledH7121 the nameH8034 of it JoktheelH3371 unto this dayH3117.

8Then AmaziahH0558 sentH7971 messengersH4397 to JehoashH3060, the sonH1121 of JehoahazH3059 sonH1121 of JehuH3058, kingH4428 of IsraelH3478, sayingH0559, ComeH3212, let us lookH7200 one another in the faceH6440. 9And JehoashH3060 the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 sentH7971 to AmaziahH0558 kingH4428 of JudahH3063, sayingH0559, The thistleH2336 that was in LebanonH3844 sentH7971 to the cedarH0730 that was in LebanonH3844, sayingH0559, GiveH5414 thy daughterH1323 to my sonH1121 to wifeH0802: and there passedH5674 by a wildH7704 beastH2416 that was in LebanonH3844, and trode downH7429 the thistleH2336. 10Thou hast indeedH5221 smittenH5221 EdomH0123, and thine heartH3820 hath lifted thee upH5375: gloryH3513 of this , and tarryH3427 at homeH1004: for why shouldest thou meddleH1624 to thy hurtH7451, that thou shouldest fallH5307, even thou, and JudahH3063 with thee? 11But AmaziahH0558 would not hearH8085. Therefore JehoashH3060 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 went upH5927; and he and AmaziahH0558 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 lookedH7200 one another in the faceH6440 at Beth-shemeshH1053, which belongeth to JudahH3063. 12And JudahH3063 was put to the worseH5062 beforeH6440 IsraelH3478; and they fledH5127 every manH0376 to their tentsH0168. 13And JehoashH3060 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 tookH8610 AmaziahH0558 kingH4428 of JudahH3063, the sonH1121 of JehoashH3060 the sonH1121 of AhaziahH0274, at Beth-shemeshH1053, and cameH0935 to JerusalemH3389, and brake downH6555 the wallH2346 of JerusalemH3389 from the gateH8179 of EphraimH0669 unto the cornerH6438 gateH8179, fourH0702 hundredH3967 cubitsH0520. 14And he tookH3947 all the goldH2091 and silverH3701, and all the vesselsH3627 that were foundH4672 in the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, and in the treasuresH0214 of the kingsH4428 houseH1004, and hostagesH1121, and returnedH7725 to SamariaH8111.

15Now the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of JehoashH3060 which he didH6213, and his mightH1369, and how he foughtH3898 with AmaziahH0558 kingH4428 of JudahH3063, are they not writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of the chroniclesH1697 of the kingsH4428 of IsraelH3478? 16And JehoashH3060 sleptH7901 with his fathersH0001, and was buriedH6912 in SamariaH8111 with the kingsH4428 of IsraelH3478; and JeroboamH3379 his sonH1121 reignedH4427 in his stead.

17And AmaziahH0558 the sonH1121 of JoashH3101 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 livedH2421 afterH0310 the deathH4194 of JehoashH3060 sonH1121 of JehoahazH3059 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 fifteenH2568 yearsH8141. 18And the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of AmaziahH0558, are they not writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of the chroniclesH1697 of the kingsH4428 of JudahH3063? 19Now they madeH7194 a conspiracyH7195 against him in JerusalemH3389: and he fledH5127 to LachishH3923; but they sentH7971 afterH0310 him to LachishH3923, and slewH4191 him there. 20And they broughtH5375 him on horsesH5483: and he was buriedH6912 at JerusalemH3389 with his fathersH0001 in the cityH5892 of DavidH1732.

21And all the peopleH5971 of JudahH3063 tookH3947 AzariahH5838, which was sixteenH8337 yearsH8141 oldH1121, and made him kingH4427 instead of his fatherH0001 AmaziahH0558. 22He builtH1129 ElathH0359, and restoredH7725 it to JudahH3063, afterH0310 that the kingH4428 sleptH7901 with his fathersH0001.

23In the fifteenthH2568 yearH8141 of AmaziahH0558 the sonH1121 of JoashH3101 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 JeroboamH3379 the sonH1121 of JoashH3101 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 began to reignH4427 in SamariaH8111, and reigned fortyH0705 and oneH0259 yearsH8141. 24And he didH6213 that which was evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068: he departedH5493 not from all the sinsH2403 of JeroboamH3379 the sonH1121 of NebatH5028, who made IsraelH3478 to sinH2398. 25He restoredH7725 the coastH1366 of IsraelH3478 from the enteringH0935 of HamathH2574 unto the seaH3220 of the plainH6160, according to the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 GodH0430 of IsraelH3478, which he spakeH1696 by the handH3027 of his servantH5650 JonahH3124, the sonH1121 of AmittaiH0573, the prophetH5030, which was of Gath-hepherH1662. 26For the LORDH3068 sawH7200 the afflictionH6040 of IsraelH3478, that it was veryH3966 bitterH4784: for there was notH0657 any shut upH6113, nor any leftH5800, nor any helperH5826 for IsraelH3478. 27And the LORDH3068 saidH1696 not that he would blot outH4229 the nameH8034 of IsraelH3478 from under heavenH8064: but he savedH3467 them by the handH3027 of JeroboamH3379 the sonH1121 of JoashH3101.

28Now the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of JeroboamH3379, and all that he didH6213, and his mightH1369, how he warredH3898, and how he recoveredH7725 DamascusH1834, and HamathH2574, which belonged to JudahH3063, for IsraelH3478, are they not writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of the chroniclesH1697 of the kingsH4428 of IsraelH3478? 29And JeroboamH3379 sleptH7901 with his fathersH0001, even with the kingsH4428 of IsraelH3478; and ZachariahH2148 his sonH1121 reignedH4427 in his stead.

2 Kings: Chapter 15

1In the twentyH6242 and seventhH7651 yearH8141 of JeroboamH3379 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 began AzariahH5838 sonH1121 of AmaziahH0558 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 to reignH4427. 2SixteenH8337 yearsH8141 oldH1121 was he when he began to reignH4427, and he reignedH4427 twoH8147 and fiftyH2572 yearsH8141 in JerusalemH3389. And his mothersH0517 nameH8034 was JecholiahH3203 of JerusalemH3389. 3And he didH6213 that which was rightH3477 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068, according to all that his fatherH0001 AmaziahH0558 had doneH6213; 4Save that the high placesH1116 were not removedH5493: the peopleH5971 sacrificedH2076 and burnt incenseH6999 still on the high placesH1116.

5And the LORDH3068 smoteH5060 the kingH4428, so that he was a leperH6879 unto the dayH3117 of his deathH4194, and dweltH3427 in a severalH2669 houseH1004. And JothamH3147 the kingsH4428 sonH1121 was over the houseH1004, judgingH8199 the peopleH5971 of the landH0776. 6And the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of AzariahH5838, and all that he didH6213, are they not writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of the chroniclesH1697 of the kingsH4428 of JudahH3063? 7So AzariahH5838 sleptH7901 with his fathersH0001; and they buriedH6912 him with his fathersH0001 in the cityH5892 of DavidH1732: and JothamH3147 his sonH1121 reignedH4427 in his stead.

8In the thirtyH7970 and eighthH8083 yearH8141 of AzariahH5838 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 did ZachariahH2148 the sonH1121 of JeroboamH3379 reignH4427 over IsraelH3478 in SamariaH8111 sixH8337 monthsH2320. 9And he didH6213 that which was evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068, as his fathersH0001 had doneH6213: he departedH5493 not from the sinsH2403 of JeroboamH3379 the sonH1121 of NebatH5028, who made IsraelH3478 to sinH2398. 10And ShallumH7967 the sonH1121 of JabeshH3003 conspiredH7194 against him, and smoteH5221 him beforeH6905 the peopleH5971, and slewH4191 him, and reignedH4427 in his stead. 11And the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of ZachariahH2148, behold, they are writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of the chroniclesH1697 of the kingsH4428 of IsraelH3478. 12This was the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 which he spakeH1696 unto JehuH3058, sayingH0559, Thy sonsH1121 shall sitH3427 on the throneH3678 of IsraelH3478 unto the fourthH7243 generation . And so it came to pass.

13 ShallumH7967 the sonH1121 of JabeshH3003 began to reignH4427 in the nineH8672 and thirtiethH7970 yearH8141 of UzziahH5818 kingH4428 of JudahH3063; and he reignedH4427 a fullH3117 monthH3391 in SamariaH8111. 14For MenahemH4505 the sonH1121 of GadiH1424 went upH5927 from TirzahH8656, and cameH0935 to SamariaH8111, and smoteH5221 ShallumH7967 the sonH1121 of JabeshH3003 in SamariaH8111, and slewH4191 him, and reignedH4427 in his stead. 15And the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of ShallumH7967, and his conspiracyH7195 which he madeH7194, behold, they are writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of the chroniclesH1697 of the kingsH4428 of IsraelH3478.

16Then MenahemH4505 smoteH5221 TiphsahH8607, and all that were therein, and the coastsH1366 thereof from TirzahH8656: because they openedH6605 not to him , therefore he smoteH5221 it; and all the women therein that were with childH2030 he ripped upH1234. 17In the nineH8672 and thirtiethH7970 yearH8141 of AzariahH5838 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 began MenahemH4505 the sonH1121 of GadiH1424 to reignH4427 over IsraelH3478, and reigned tenH6235 yearsH8141 in SamariaH8111. 18And he didH6213 that which was evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068: he departedH5493 not all his daysH3117 from the sinsH2403 of JeroboamH3379 the sonH1121 of NebatH5028, who made IsraelH3478 to sinH2398. 19 And PulH6322 the kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804 cameH0935 against the landH0776: and MenahemH4505 gaveH5414 PulH6322 a thousandH0505 talentsH3603 of silverH3701, that his handH3027 might be with him to confirmH2388 the kingdomH4467 in his handH3027. 20And MenahemH4505 exactedH3318 the moneyH3701 of IsraelH3478, even of all the mighty menH1368 of wealthH2428, of eachH0259 manH0376 fiftyH2572 shekelsH8255 of silverH3701, to giveH5414 to the kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804. So the kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804 turned backH7725, and stayedH5975 not there in the landH0776.

21And the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of MenahemH4505, and all that he didH6213, are they not writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of the chroniclesH1697 of the kingsH4428 of IsraelH3478? 22And MenahemH4505 sleptH7901 with his fathersH0001; and PekahiahH6494 his sonH1121 reignedH4427 in his stead.

23In the fiftiethH2572 yearH8141 of AzariahH5838 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 PekahiahH6494 the sonH1121 of MenahemH4505 began to reignH4427 over IsraelH3478 in SamariaH8111, and reigned two yearsH8141. 24And he didH6213 that which was evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068: he departedH5493 not from the sinsH2403 of JeroboamH3379 the sonH1121 of NebatH5028, who made IsraelH3478 to sinH2398. 25But PekahH6492 the sonH1121 of RemaliahH7425, a captainH7991 of his, conspiredH7194 against him, and smoteH5221 him in SamariaH8111, in the palaceH0759 of the kingsH4428 houseH1004, with ArgobH0709 and AriehH0745, and with him fiftyH2572 menH0376 of the GileaditesH1121: and he killedH4191 him, and reignedH4427 in his room. 26And the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of PekahiahH6494, and all that he didH6213, behold, they are writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of the chroniclesH1697 of the kingsH4428 of IsraelH3478.

27In the twoH8147 and fiftiethH2572 yearH8141 of AzariahH5838 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 PekahH6492 the sonH1121 of RemaliahH7425 began to reignH4427 over IsraelH3478 in SamariaH8111, and reigned twentyH6242 yearsH8141. 28And he didH6213 that which was evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068: he departedH5493 not from the sinsH2403 of JeroboamH3379 the sonH1121 of NebatH5028, who made IsraelH3478 to sinH2398. 29In the daysH3117 of PekahH6492 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 cameH0935 Tiglath-pileserH8407 kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804, and tookH3947 IjonH5859, and Abel-beth-maachahH0062, and JanoahH3239, and KedeshH6943, and HazorH2674, and GileadH1568, and GalileeH1551, all the landH0776 of NaphtaliH5321, and carried them captiveH1540 to AssyriaH0804. 30And HosheaH1954 the sonH1121 of ElahH0425 madeH7194 a conspiracyH7195 against PekahH6492 the sonH1121 of RemaliahH7425, and smoteH5221 him, and slewH4191 him, and reignedH4427 in his stead, in the twentiethH6242 yearH8141 of JothamH3147 the sonH1121 of UzziahH5818. 31And the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of PekahH6492, and all that he didH6213, behold, they are writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of the chroniclesH1697 of the kingsH4428 of IsraelH3478.

32In the secondH8147 yearH8141 of PekahH6492 the sonH1121 of RemaliahH7425 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 began JothamH3147 the sonH1121 of UzziahH5818 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 to reignH4427. 33FiveH2568 and twentyH6242 yearsH8141 oldH1121 was he when he began to reignH4427, and he reignedH4427 sixteenH8337 yearsH8141 in JerusalemH3389. And his mothersH0517 nameH8034 was JerushaH3388, the daughterH1323 of ZadokH6659. 34And he didH6213 that which was rightH3477 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068: he didH6213 according to all that his fatherH0001 UzziahH5818 had doneH6213.

35Howbeit the high placesH1116 were not removedH5493: the peopleH5971 sacrificedH2076 and burned incenseH6999 still in the high placesH1116. He builtH1129 the higherH5945 gateH8179 of the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068.

36Now the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of JothamH3147, and all that he didH6213, are they not writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of the chroniclesH1697 of the kingsH4428 of JudahH3063? 37In those daysH3117 the LORDH3068 beganH2490 to sendH7971 against JudahH3063 RezinH7526 the kingH4428 of SyriaH0758, and PekahH6492 the sonH1121 of RemaliahH7425. 38And JothamH3147 sleptH7901 with his fathersH0001, and was buriedH6912 with his fathersH0001 in the cityH5892 of DavidH1732 his fatherH0001: and AhazH0271 his sonH1121 reignedH4427 in his stead.

2 Kings: Chapter 16

1In the seventeenthH7651 yearH8141 of PekahH6492 the sonH1121 of RemaliahH7425 AhazH0271 the sonH1121 of JothamH3147 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 began to reignH4427. 2TwentyH6242 yearsH8141 oldH1121 was AhazH0271 when he began to reignH4427, and reignedH4427 sixteenH8337 yearsH8141 in JerusalemH3389, and didH6213 not that which was rightH3477 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068 his GodH0430, like DavidH1732 his fatherH0001. 3But he walkedH3212 in the wayH1870 of the kingsH4428 of IsraelH3478, yea, and made his sonH1121 to pass throughH5674 the fireH0784, according to the abominationsH8441 of the heathenH1471, whom the LORDH3068 cast outH3423 from beforeH6440 the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478. 4And he sacrificedH2076 and burnt incenseH6999 in the high placesH1116, and on the hillsH1389, and under every greenH7488 treeH6086.

5Then RezinH7526 kingH4428 of SyriaH0758 and PekahH6492 sonH1121 of RemaliahH7425 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 came upH5927 to JerusalemH3389 to warH4421: and they besiegedH6696 AhazH0271, but couldH3201 not overcomeH3898 him . 6At that timeH6256 RezinH7526 kingH4428 of SyriaH0758 recoveredH7725 ElathH0359 to SyriaH0758, and draveH5394 the JewsH3064 from ElathH0359: and the SyriansH0726 cameH0935 to ElathH0359, and dweltH3427 there unto this dayH3117. 7So AhazH0271 sentH7971 messengersH4397 to Tiglath-pileserH8407 kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804, sayingH0559, I am thy servantH5650 and thy sonH1121: come upH5927, and saveH3467 me out of the handH3709 of the kingH4428 of SyriaH0758, and out of the handH3709 of the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478, which rise upH6965 against me. 8And AhazH0271 tookH3947 the silverH3701 and goldH2091 that was foundH4672 in the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, and in the treasuresH0214 of the kingsH4428 houseH1004, and sentH7971 it for a presentH7810 to the kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804. 9And the kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804 hearkenedH8085 unto him: for the kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804 went upH5927 against DamascusH1834, and tookH8610 it, and carried the people of it captiveH1540 to KirH7024, and slewH4191 RezinH7526.

10And kingH4428 AhazH0271 wentH3212 to DamascusH1834 to meetH7125 Tiglath-pileserH8407 kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804, and sawH7200 an altarH4196 that was at DamascusH1834: and kingH4428 AhazH0271 sentH7971 to UrijahH0223 the priestH3548 the fashionH1823 of the altarH4196, and the patternH8403 of it, according to all the workmanshipH4639 thereof. 11And UrijahH0223 the priestH3548 builtH1129 an altarH4196 according to all that kingH4428 AhazH0271 had sentH7971 from DamascusH1834: so UrijahH0223 the priestH3548 madeH6213 it against kingH4428 AhazH0271 cameH0935 from DamascusH1834. 12And when the kingH4428 was comeH0935 from DamascusH1834, the kingH4428 sawH7200 the altarH4196: and the kingH4428 approachedH7126 to the altarH4196, and offeredH5927 thereon. 13And he burntH6999 his burnt offeringH5930 and his meat offeringH4503, and pouredH5258 his drink offeringH5262, and sprinkledH2236 the bloodH1818 of his peace offeringsH8002, upon the altarH4196. 14And he broughtH7126 also the brasenH5178 altarH4196, which was beforeH6440 the LORDH3068, from the forefrontH6440 of the houseH1004, from between the altarH4196 and the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, and putH5414 it on the northH6828 sideH3409 of the altarH4196. 15And kingH4428 AhazH0271 commandedH6680 UrijahH0223 the priestH3548, sayingH0559, Upon the greatH1419 altarH4196 burnH6999 the morningH1242 burnt offeringH5930, and the eveningH6153 meat offeringH4503, and the kingsH4428 burnt sacrificeH5930, and his meat offeringH4503, with the burnt offeringH5930 of all the peopleH5971 of the landH0776, and their meat offeringH4503, and their drink offeringsH5262; and sprinkleH2236 upon it all the bloodH1818 of the burnt offeringH5930, and all the bloodH1818 of the sacrificeH2077: and the brasenH5178 altarH4196 shall be for me to enquireH1239 by . 16Thus didH6213 UrijahH0223 the priestH3548, according to all that kingH4428 AhazH0271 commandedH6680.

17And kingH4428 AhazH0271 cut offH7112 the bordersH4526 of the basesH4350, and removedH5493 the laverH3595 from off them; and took downH3381 the seaH3220 from off the brasenH5178 oxenH1241 that were under it, and putH5414 it upon a pavementH4837 of stonesH0068. 18And the covertH4329 for the sabbathH7676 that they had builtH1129 in the houseH1004, and the kingsH4428 entryH3996 withoutH2435, turnedH5437 he from the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068 forH6440 the kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804.

19Now the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of AhazH0271 which he didH6213, are they not writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of the chroniclesH1697 of the kingsH4428 of JudahH3063? 20And AhazH0271 sleptH7901 with his fathersH0001, and was buriedH6912 with his fathersH0001 in the cityH5892 of DavidH1732: and HezekiahH2396 his sonH1121 reignedH4427 in his stead.

2 Kings: Chapter 17

1In the twelfthH8147 yearH8141 of AhazH0271 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 began HosheaH1954 the sonH1121 of ElahH0425 to reignH4427 in SamariaH8111 over IsraelH3478 nineH8672 yearsH8141. 2And he didH6213 that which was evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068, but not as the kingsH4428 of IsraelH3478 that were beforeH6440 him.

3Against him came upH5927 ShalmaneserH8022 kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804; and HosheaH1954 became his servantH5650, and gaveH7725 him presentsH4503. 4And the kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804 foundH4672 conspiracyH7195 in HosheaH1954: for he had sentH7971 messengersH4397 to SoH5471 kingH4428 of EgyptH4714, and broughtH5927 no presentH4503 to the kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804, as he had done yearH8141 by yearH8141: therefore the kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804 shut him upH6113, and boundH0631 him in prisonH1004.

5Then the kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804 came upH5927 throughout all the landH0776, and went upH5927 to SamariaH8111, and besiegedH6696 it threeH7969 yearsH8141.

6In the ninthH8671 yearH8141 of HosheaH1954 the kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804 tookH3920 SamariaH8111, and carriedH1540 IsraelH3478 awayH1540 into AssyriaH0804, and placedH3427 them in HalahH2477 and in HaborH2249 by the riverH5104 of GozanH1470, and in the citiesH5892 of the MedesH4074.

7For so it was, that the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 had sinnedH2398 against the LORDH3068 their GodH0430, which had brought them upH5927 out of the landH0776 of EgyptH4714, from under the handH3027 of PharaohH6547 kingH4428 of EgyptH4714, and had fearedH3372 otherH0312 godsH0430, 8And walkedH3212 in the statutesH2708 of the heathenH1471, whom the LORDH3068 cast outH3423 from beforeH6440 the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, and of the kingsH4428 of IsraelH3478, which they had madeH6213. 9And the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 did secretlyH2644 those thingsH1697 that were not right against the LORDH3068 their GodH0430, and they builtH1129 them high placesH1116 in all their citiesH5892, from the towerH4026 of the watchmenH5341 to the fencedH4013 cityH5892. 10And they set them upH5324 imagesH4676 and grovesH0842 in every highH1364 hillH1389, and under every greenH7488 treeH6086: 11And there they burnt incenseH6999 in all the high placesH1116, as did the heathenH1471 whom the LORDH3068 carried awayH1540 beforeH6440 them; and wroughtH6213 wickedH7451 thingsH1697 to provoke the LORDH3068 to angerH3707: 12For they servedH5647 idolsH1544, whereof the LORDH3068 had saidH0559 unto them, Ye shall not doH6213 this thingH1697. 13Yet the LORDH3068 testifiedH5749 against IsraelH3478, and against JudahH3063, byH3027 all the prophetsH5030, and by all the seersH2374, sayingH0559, TurnH7725 ye from your evilH7451 waysH1870, and keepH8104 my commandmentsH4687 and my statutesH2708, according to all the lawH8451 which I commandedH6680 your fathersH0001, and which I sentH7971 to you byH3027 my servantsH5650 the prophetsH5030. 14Notwithstanding they would not hearH8085, but hardenedH7185 their necksH6203, like to the neckH6203 of their fathersH0001, that did not believeH0539 in the LORDH3068 their GodH0430. 15And they rejectedH3988 his statutesH2706, and his covenantH1285 that he madeH3772 with their fathersH0001, and his testimoniesH5715 which he testifiedH5749 against them; and they followedH3212 vanityH1892, and became vainH1891, and went afterH0310 the heathenH1471 that were round aboutH5439 them, concerning whom the LORDH3068 had chargedH6680 them, that they should not doH6213 like them. 16And they leftH5800 all the commandmentsH4687 of the LORDH3068 their GodH0430, and madeH6213 them molten imagesH4541, even twoH8147 calvesH5695, and madeH6213 a groveH0842, and worshippedH7812 all the hostH6635 of heavenH8064, and servedH5647 BaalH1168. 17And they caused their sonsH1121 and their daughtersH1323 to passH5674 through the fireH0784, and usedH7080 divinationH7081 and enchantmentsH5172, and soldH4376 themselves to doH6213 evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068, to provoke him to angerH3707. 18Therefore the LORDH3068 was veryH3966 angryH0599 with IsraelH3478, and removedH5493 them out of his sightH6440: there was none leftH7604 but the tribeH7626 of JudahH3063 only. 19Also JudahH3063 keptH8104 not the commandmentsH4687 of the LORDH3068 their GodH0430, but walkedH3212 in the statutesH2708 of IsraelH3478 which they madeH6213. 20And the LORDH3068 rejectedH3988 all the seedH2233 of IsraelH3478, and afflictedH6031 them, and deliveredH5414 them into the handH3027 of spoilersH8154, until he had castH7993 them out of his sightH6440. 21For he rentH7167 IsraelH3478 from the houseH1004 of DavidH1732; and they made JeroboamH3379 the sonH1121 of NebatH5028 kingH4427: and JeroboamH3379 draveH5080 IsraelH3478 from followingH0310 the LORDH3068, and made them sinH2398 a greatH1419 sinH2401. 22For the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 walkedH3212 in all the sinsH2403 of JeroboamH3379 which he didH6213; they departedH5493 not from them; 23Until the LORDH3068 removedH5493 IsraelH3478 out of his sightH6440, as he had saidH1696 byH3027 all his servantsH5650 the prophetsH5030. So was IsraelH3478 carried awayH1540 out of their own landH0127 to AssyriaH0804 unto this dayH3117.

24And the kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804 broughtH0935 men from BabylonH0894, and from CuthahH3575, and from AvaH5755, and from HamathH2574, and from SepharvaimH5617, and placedH3427 them in the citiesH5892 of SamariaH8111 instead of the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478: and they possessedH3423 SamariaH8111, and dweltH3427 in the citiesH5892 thereof. 25And so it was at the beginningH8462 of their dwellingH3427 there, that they fearedH3372 not the LORDH3068: therefore the LORDH3068 sentH7971 lionsH0738 among them, which slewH2026 some of them. 26Wherefore they spakeH0559 to the kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804, sayingH0559, The nationsH1471 which thou hast removedH1540, and placedH3427 in the citiesH5892 of SamariaH8111, knowH3045 not the mannerH4941 of the GodH0430 of the landH0776: therefore he hath sentH7971 lionsH0738 among them, and, behold, they slayH4191 them, because they knowH3045 not the mannerH4941 of the GodH0430 of the landH0776. 27Then the kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804 commandedH6680, sayingH0559, CarryH3212 thither oneH0259 of the priestsH3548 whom ye broughtH1540 from thence; and let them goH3212 and dwellH3427 there, and let him teachH3384 them the mannerH4941 of the GodH0430 of the landH0776. 28Then oneH0259 of the priestsH3548 whom they had carried awayH1540 from SamariaH8111 cameH0935 and dweltH3427 in Beth-elH1008, and taughtH3384 them how they should fearH3372 the LORDH3068. 29Howbeit every nationH1471 madeH6213 godsH0430 of their own, and putH3240 them in the housesH1004 of the high placesH1116 which the SamaritansH8118 had madeH6213, every nationH1471 in their citiesH5892 wherein they dweltH3427. 30And the menH0582 of BabylonH0894 madeH6213 Succoth-benothH5524, and the menH0582 of CuthH3575 madeH6213 NergalH5370, and the menH0582 of HamathH2574 madeH6213 AshimaH0807, 31And the AvitesH5757 madeH6213 NibhazH5026 and TartakH8662, and the SepharvitesH5616 burntH8313 their childrenH1121 in fireH0784 to AdrammelechH0152 and AnammelechH6048, the godsH0430 of SepharvaimH5617. 32So they fearedH3373 the LORDH3068, and madeH6213 unto themselves of the lowestH7098 of them priestsH3548 of the high placesH1116, which sacrificedH6213 for them in the housesH1004 of the high placesH1116. 33They fearedH3373 the LORDH3068, and servedH5647 their own godsH0430, after the mannerH4941 of the nationsH1471 whom they carried awayH1540 from thence. 34Unto this dayH3117 they doH6213 after the formerH7223 mannersH4941: they fearH3373 not the LORDH3068, neither doH6213 they after their statutesH2708, or after their ordinancesH4941, or after the lawH8451 and commandmentH4687 which the LORDH3068 commandedH6680 the childrenH1121 of JacobH3290, whom he namedH7760 IsraelH3478; 35With whom the LORDH3068 had madeH3772 a covenantH1285, and chargedH6680 them, sayingH0559, Ye shall not fearH3372 otherH0312 godsH0430, nor bowH7812 yourselves to them, nor serveH5647 them, nor sacrificeH2076 to them: 36But the LORDH3068, who brought you upH5927 out of the landH0776 of EgyptH4714 with greatH1419 powerH3581 and a stretched outH5186 armH2220, him shall ye fearH3372, and him shall ye worshipH7812, and to him shall ye do sacrificeH2076. 37And the statutesH2706, and the ordinancesH4941, and the lawH8451, and the commandmentH4687, which he wroteH3789 for you, ye shall observeH8104 to doH6213 for evermoreH3117; and ye shall not fearH3372 otherH0312 godsH0430. 38And the covenantH1285 that I have madeH3772 with you ye shall not forgetH7911; neither shall ye fearH3372 otherH0312 godsH0430. 39But the LORDH3068 your GodH0430 ye shall fearH3372; and he shall deliverH5337 you out of the handH3027 of all your enemiesH0341. 40Howbeit they did not hearkenH8085, but they didH6213 after their formerH7223 mannerH4941. 41So these nationsH1471 fearedH3373 the LORDH3068, and servedH5647 their graven imagesH6456, both their childrenH1121, and their childrensH1121 childrenH1121: as didH6213 their fathersH0001, so doH6213 they unto this dayH3117.

2 Kings: Chapter 18

1Now it came to pass in the thirdH7969 yearH8141 of HosheaH1954 sonH1121 of ElahH0425 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478, that HezekiahH2396 the sonH1121 of AhazH0271 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 began to reignH4427. 2TwentyH6242 and fiveH2568 yearsH8141 oldH1121 was he when he began to reignH4427; and he reignedH4427 twentyH6242 and nineH8672 yearsH8141 in JerusalemH3389. His mothersH0517 nameH8034 also was AbiH0021, the daughterH1323 of ZachariahH2148. 3And he didH6213 that which was rightH3477 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068, according to all that DavidH1732 his fatherH0001 didH6213.

4He removedH5493 the high placesH1116, and brakeH7665 the imagesH4676, and cut downH3772 the grovesH0842, and brake in piecesH3807 the brasenH5178 serpentH5175 that MosesH4872 had madeH6213: for unto those daysH3117 the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 did burn incenseH6999 to it: and he calledH7121 it NehushtanH5180. 5He trustedH0982 in the LORDH3068 GodH0430 of IsraelH3478; so that afterH0310 him was none like him among all the kingsH4428 of JudahH3063, nor any that were beforeH6440 him. 6For he claveH1692 to the LORDH3068, and departedH5493 not from followingH0310 him, but keptH8104 his commandmentsH4687, which the LORDH3068 commandedH6680 MosesH4872. 7And the LORDH3068 was with him; and he prosperedH7919 whithersoever he went forthH3318: and he rebelledH4775 against the kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804, and servedH5647 him not. 8He smoteH5221 the PhilistinesH6430, even unto GazaH5804, and the bordersH1366 thereof, from the towerH4026 of the watchmenH5341 to the fencedH4013 cityH5892.

9And it came to pass in the fourthH7243 yearH8141 of kingH4428 HezekiahH2396, which was the seventhH7637 yearH8141 of HosheaH1954 sonH1121 of ElahH0425 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478, that ShalmaneserH8022 kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804 came upH5927 against SamariaH8111, and besiegedH6696 it. 10And at the endH7097 of threeH7969 yearsH8141 they tookH3920 it: even in the sixthH8337 yearH8141 of HezekiahH2396, that is the ninthH8672 yearH8141 of HosheaH1954 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478, SamariaH8111 was takenH3920. 11And the kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804 did carry awayH1540 IsraelH3478 unto AssyriaH0804, and putH5148 them in HalahH2477 and in HaborH2249 by the riverH5104 of GozanH1470, and in the citiesH5892 of the MedesH4074: 12Because they obeyedH8085 not the voiceH6963 of the LORDH3068 their GodH0430, but transgressedH5674 his covenantH1285, and all that MosesH4872 the servantH5650 of the LORDH3068 commandedH6680, and would not hearH8085 them , nor doH6213 them .

13Now in the fourteenthH0702 yearH8141 of kingH4428 HezekiahH2396 did SennacheribH5576 kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804 come upH5927 against all the fencedH1219 citiesH5892 of JudahH3063, and tookH8610 them. 14And HezekiahH2396 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 sentH7971 to the kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804 to LachishH3923, sayingH0559, I have offendedH2398; returnH7725 from me: that which thou puttestH5414 on me will I bearH5375. And the kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804 appointedH7760 unto HezekiahH2396 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 threeH7969 hundredH3967 talentsH3603 of silverH3701 and thirtyH7970 talentsH3603 of goldH2091. 15And HezekiahH2396 gaveH5414 him all the silverH3701 that was foundH4672 in the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, and in the treasuresH0214 of the kingsH4428 houseH1004. 16At that timeH6256 did HezekiahH2396 cut offH7112 the gold from the doorsH1817 of the templeH1964 of the LORDH3068, and from the pillarsH0547 which HezekiahH2396 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 had overlaidH6823, and gaveH5414 it to the kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804.

17And the kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804 sentH7971 TartanH8661 and RabsarisH7249 and Rab-shakehH7262 from LachishH3923 to kingH4428 HezekiahH2396 with a greatH3515 hostH2426 against JerusalemH3389. And they went upH5927 and cameH0935 to JerusalemH3389. And when they were come upH5927, they cameH0935 and stoodH5975 by the conduitH8585 of the upperH5945 poolH1295, which is in the highwayH4546 of the fullersH3526 fieldH7704. 18And when they had calledH7121 to the kingH4428, there came outH3318 to them EliakimH0471 the sonH1121 of HilkiahH2518, which was over the householdH1004, and ShebnaH7644 the scribeH5608, and JoahH3098 the sonH1121 of AsaphH0623 the recorderH2142. 19And Rab-shakehH7262 saidH0559 unto them, SpeakH0559 ye now to HezekiahH2396, Thus saithH0559 the greatH1419 kingH4428, the kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804, What confidenceH0986 is this wherein thou trustestH0982? 20Thou sayestH0559, (but they are but vainH8193 wordsH1697,) I have counselH6098 and strengthH1369 for the warH4421. Now on whom dost thou trustH0982, that thou rebellestH4775 against me? 21Now, behold, thou trustestH0982 upon the staffH4938 of this bruisedH7533 reedH7070, even upon EgyptH4714, on which if a manH0376 leanH5564, it will goH0935 into his handH3709, and pierceH5344 it: so is PharaohH6547 kingH4428 of EgyptH4714 unto all that trustH0982 on him. 22But if ye sayH0559 unto me, We trustH0982 in the LORDH3068 our GodH0430: is not that he, whose high placesH1116 and whose altarsH4196 HezekiahH2396 hath taken awayH5493, and hath saidH0559 to JudahH3063 and JerusalemH3389, Ye shall worshipH7812 beforeH6440 this altarH4196 in JerusalemH3389? 23Now therefore, I pray thee, give pledgesH6148 to my lordH0113 the kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804, and I will deliverH5414 thee two thousandH0505 horsesH5483, if thou be ableH3201 on thy part to setH5414 ridersH7392 upon them. 24How then wilt thou turn awayH7725 the faceH6440 of oneH0259 captainH6346 of the leastH6996 of my mastersH0113 servantsH5650, and put thy trustH0982 on EgyptH4714 for chariotsH7393 and for horsemenH6571? 25Am I now come upH5927 withoutH1107 the LORDH3068 against this placeH4725 to destroyH7843 it? The LORDH3068 saidH0559 to me, Go upH5927 against this landH0776, and destroyH7843 it. 26Then saidH0559 EliakimH0471 the sonH1121 of HilkiahH2518, and ShebnaH7644, and JoahH3098, unto Rab-shakehH7262, SpeakH1696, I pray thee, to thy servantsH5650 in the Syrian languageH0762; for we understandH8085 it: and talkH1696 not with us in the JewslanguageH3066 in the earsH0241 of the peopleH5971 that are on the wallH2346. 27But Rab-shakehH7262 saidH0559 unto them, Hath my masterH0113 sentH7971 me to thy masterH0113, and to thee, to speakH1696 these wordsH1697? hath he not sent me to the menH0582 which sitH3427 on the wallH2346, that they may eatH0398 their own dungH6675, and drinkH8354 their own pissH4325 with you? 28Then Rab-shakehH7262 stoodH5975 and criedH7121 with a loudH1419 voiceH6963 in the JewslanguageH3066, and spakeH1696, sayingH0559, HearH8085 the wordH1697 of the greatH1419 kingH4428, the kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804: 29Thus saithH0559 the kingH4428, Let not HezekiahH2396 deceiveH5377 you: for he shall not be ableH3201 to deliverH5337 you out of his handH3027: 30Neither let HezekiahH2396 make you trustH0982 in the LORDH3068, sayingH0559, The LORDH3068 will surelyH5337 deliverH5337 us, and this cityH5892 shall not be deliveredH5414 into the handH3027 of the kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804. 31HearkenH8085 not to HezekiahH2396: for thus saithH0559 the kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804, MakeH6213 an agreement with me by a presentH1293, and come outH3318 to me, and then eatH0398 ye every manH0376 of his own vineH1612, and every oneH0376 of his fig treeH8384, and drinkH8354 ye every oneH0376 the watersH4325 of his cisternH0953: 32Until I comeH0935 and take you awayH3947 to a landH0776 like your own landH0776, a landH0776 of cornH1715 and wineH8492, a landH0776 of breadH3899 and vineyardsH3754, a landH0776 of oilH3323 oliveH2132 and of honeyH1706, that ye may liveH2421, and not dieH4191: and hearkenH8085 not unto HezekiahH2396, when he persuadethH5496 you, sayingH0559, The LORDH3068 will deliverH5337 us. 33Hath anyH0376 of the godsH0430 of the nationsH1471 deliveredH5337 at allH5337 his landH0776 out of the handH3027 of the kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804? 34Where are the godsH0430 of HamathH2574, and of ArpadH0774? where are the godsH0430 of SepharvaimH5617, HenaH2012, and IvahH5755? have they deliveredH5337 SamariaH8111 out of mine handH3027? 35Who are they among all the godsH0430 of the countriesH0776, that have deliveredH5337 their countryH0776 out of mine handH3027, that the LORDH3068 should deliverH5337 JerusalemH3389 out of mine handH3027? 36But the peopleH5971 held their peaceH2790, and answeredH6030 him not a wordH1697: for the kingsH4428 commandmentH4687 was, sayingH0559, AnswerH6030 him not. 37Then cameH0935 EliakimH0471 the sonH1121 of HilkiahH2518, which was over the householdH1004, and ShebnaH7644 the scribeH5608, and JoahH3098 the sonH1121 of AsaphH0623 the recorderH2142, to HezekiahH2396 with their clothesH0899 rentH7167, and toldH5046 him the wordsH1697 of Rab-shakehH7262.

2 Kings: Chapter 19

1And it came to pass, when kingH4428 HezekiahH2396 heardH8085 it , that he rentH7167 his clothesH0899, and coveredH3680 himself with sackclothH8242, and wentH0935 into the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068. 2And he sentH7971 EliakimH0471, which was over the householdH1004, and ShebnaH7644 the scribeH5608, and the eldersH2205 of the priestsH3548, coveredH3680 with sackclothH8242, to IsaiahH3470 the prophetH5030 the sonH1121 of AmozH0531. 3And they saidH0559 unto him, Thus saithH0559 HezekiahH2396, This dayH3117 is a dayH3117 of troubleH6869, and of rebukeH8433, and blasphemyH5007: for the childrenH1121 are comeH0935 to the birthH4866, and there is not strengthH3581 to bring forthH3205. 4It may beH0194 the LORDH3068 thy GodH0430 will hearH8085 all the wordsH1697 of Rab-shakehH7262, whom the kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804 his masterH0113 hath sentH7971 to reproachH2778 the livingH2416 GodH0430; and will reproveH3198 the wordsH1697 which the LORDH3068 thy GodH0430 hath heardH8085: wherefore lift upH5375 thy prayerH8605 for the remnantH7611 that are leftH4672. 5So the servantsH5650 of kingH4428 HezekiahH2396 cameH0935 to IsaiahH3470.

6And IsaiahH3470 saidH0559 unto them, Thus shall ye sayH0559 to your masterH0113, Thus saithH0559 the LORDH3068, Be not afraidH3372 ofH6440 the wordsH1697 which thou hast heardH8085, with which the servantsH5288 of the kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804 have blasphemedH1442 me. 7Behold, I will sendH5414 a blastH7307 upon him, and he shall hearH8085 a rumourH8052, and shall returnH7725 to his own landH0776; and I will cause him to fallH5307 by the swordH2719 in his own landH0776.

8So Rab-shakehH7262 returnedH7725, and foundH4672 the kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804 warringH3898 against LibnahH3841: for he had heardH8085 that he was departedH5265 from LachishH3923. 9And when he heardH8085 sayH0559 of TirhakahH8640 kingH4428 of EthiopiaH3568, Behold, he is come outH3318 to fightH3898 against thee: he sentH7971 messengersH4397 againH7725 unto HezekiahH2396, sayingH0559, 10Thus shall ye speakH0559 to HezekiahH2396 kingH4428 of JudahH3063, sayingH0559, Let not thy GodH0430 in whom thou trustestH0982 deceiveH5377 thee, sayingH0559, JerusalemH3389 shall not be deliveredH5414 into the handH3027 of the kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804. 11Behold, thou hast heardH8085 what the kingsH4428 of AssyriaH0804 have doneH6213 to all landsH0776, by destroying them utterlyH2763: and shalt thou be deliveredH5337? 12Have the godsH0430 of the nationsH1471 deliveredH5337 them which my fathersH0001 have destroyedH7843; as GozanH1470, and HaranH2771, and RezephH7530, and the childrenH1121 of EdenH5729 which were in ThelasarH8515? 13Where is the kingH4428 of HamathH2574, and the kingH4428 of ArpadH0774, and the kingH4428 of the cityH5892 of SepharvaimH5617, of HenaH2012, and IvahH5755?

14And HezekiahH2396 receivedH3947 the letterH5612 of the handH3027 of the messengersH4397, and readH7121 it: and HezekiahH2396 went upH5927 into the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, and spreadH6566 it beforeH6440 the LORDH3068. 15And HezekiahH2396 prayedH6419 beforeH6440 the LORDH3068, and saidH0559, O LORDH3068 GodH0430 of IsraelH3478, which dwellestH3427 between the cherubimsH3742, thou art the GodH0430, even thou alone, of all the kingdomsH4467 of the earthH0776; thou hast madeH6213 heavenH8064 and earthH0776. 16LORDH3068, bow downH5186 thine earH0241, and hearH8085: openH6491, LORDH3068, thine eyesH5869, and seeH7200: and hearH8085 the wordsH1697 of SennacheribH5576, which hath sentH7971 him to reproachH2778 the livingH2416 GodH0430. 17Of a truthH0551, LORDH3068, the kingsH4428 of AssyriaH0804 have destroyedH2717 the nationsH1471 and their landsH0776, 18And have castH5414 their godsH0430 into the fireH0784: for they were no godsH0430, but the workH4639 of mensH0120 handsH3027, woodH6086 and stoneH0068: therefore they have destroyedH0006 them. 19Now therefore, O LORDH3068 our GodH0430, I beseech thee, saveH3467 thou us out of his handH3027, that all the kingdomsH4467 of the earthH0776 may knowH3045 that thou art the LORDH3068 GodH0430, even thou only.

20Then IsaiahH3470 the sonH1121 of AmozH0531 sentH7971 to HezekiahH2396, sayingH0559, Thus saithH0559 the LORDH3068 GodH0430 of IsraelH3478, That which thou hast prayedH6419 to me against SennacheribH5576 kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804 I have heardH8085. 21This is the wordH1697 that the LORDH3068 hath spokenH1696 concerning him; The virginH1330 the daughterH1323 of ZionH6726 hath despisedH0959 thee, and laughed thee to scornH3932; the daughterH1323 of JerusalemH3389 hath shakenH5128 her headH7218 at theeH0310. 22Whom hast thou reproachedH2778 and blasphemedH1442? and against whom hast thou exaltedH7311 thy voiceH6963, and lifted upH5375 thine eyesH5869 on highH4791? even against the HolyH6918 One of IsraelH3478. 23ByH3027 thy messengersH4397 thou hast reproachedH2778 the LordH0136, and hast saidH0559, With the multitudeH7230 of my chariotsH7393 I am come upH5927 to the heightH4791 of the mountainsH2022, to the sidesH3411 of LebanonH3844, and will cut downH3772 the tallH6967 cedar treesH0730 thereof, and the choiceH4004 fir treesH1265 thereof: and I will enterH0935 into the lodgingsH4411 of his bordersH7093, and into the forestH3293 of his CarmelH3760. 24I have diggedH6979 and drunkH8354 strangeH2114 watersH4325, and with the soleH3709 of my feetH6471 have I driedH2717 up all the riversH2975 of besieged placesH4693. 25Hast thou not heardH8085 long agoH7350 how I have doneH6213 it, and of ancientH6924 timesH3117 that I have formedH3335 it? now have I broughtH0935 it to pass, that thou shouldest be to lay wasteH7582 fencedH1219 citiesH5892 into ruinousH5327 heapsH1530. 26Therefore their inhabitantsH3427 were of smallH7116 powerH3027, they were dismayedH2865 and confoundedH0954; they were as the grassH6212 of the fieldH7704, and as the greenH3419 herbH1877, as the grassH2682 on the housetopsH1406, and as corn blastedH7711 beforeH6440 it be grown upH7054. 27But I knowH3045 thy abodeH3427, and thy going outH3318, and thy coming inH0935, and thy rageH7264 against me. 28Because thy rageH7264 against me and thy tumultH7600 is come upH5927 into mine earsH0241, therefore I will putH7760 my hookH2397 in thy noseH0639, and my bridleH4964 in thy lipsH8193, and I will turn thee backH7725 by the wayH1870 by which thou camestH0935. 29And this shall be a signH0226 unto thee, Ye shall eatH0398 this yearH8141 such things as growH5599 of themselves, and in the secondH8145 yearH8141 that which springethH7823 of the same; and in the thirdH7992 yearH8141 sowH2232 ye, and reapH7114, and plantH5193 vineyardsH3754, and eatH0398 the fruitsH6529 thereof. 30And the remnantH7604 that is escapedH6413 of the houseH1004 of JudahH3063 shall yet againH3254 take rootH8328 downwardH4295, and bearH6213 fruitH6529 upwardH4605. 31For out of JerusalemH3389 shall go forthH3318 a remnantH7611, and they that escapeH6413 out of mountH2022 ZionH6726: the zealH7068 of the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635 shall doH6213 this. 32Therefore thus saithH0559 the LORDH3068 concerning the kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804, He shall not comeH0935 into this cityH5892, nor shootH3384 an arrowH2671 there, nor come beforeH6923 it with shieldH4043, nor castH8210 a bankH5550 against it. 33By the wayH1870 that he cameH0935, by the same shall he returnH7725, and shall not comeH0935 into this cityH5892, saithH5002 the LORDH3068. 34For I will defendH1598 this cityH5892, to saveH3467 it, for mine own sake, and for my servantH5650 DavidsH1732 sake.

35And it came to pass that nightH3915, that the angelH4397 of the LORDH3068 went outH3318, and smoteH5221 in the campH4264 of the AssyriansH0804 an hundredH3967 fourscoreH8084 and fiveH2568 thousandH0505: and when they arose earlyH7925 in the morningH1242, behold, they were all deadH4191 corpsesH6297. 36So SennacheribH5576 kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804 departedH5265, and wentH3212 and returnedH7725, and dweltH3427 at NinevehH5210. 37And it came to pass, as he was worshippingH7812 in the houseH1004 of NisrochH5268 his godH0430, that AdrammelechH0152 and SharezerH8272 his sonsH1121 smoteH5221 him with the swordH2719: and they escapedH4422 into the landH0776 of ArmeniaH0780. And Esar-haddonH0634 his sonH1121 reignedH4427 in his stead.

2 Kings: Chapter 20

1In those daysH3117 was HezekiahH2396 sickH2470 unto deathH4191. And the prophetH5030 IsaiahH3470 the sonH1121 of AmozH0531 cameH0935 to him, and saidH0559 unto him, Thus saithH0559 the LORDH3068, Set thine houseH1004 in orderH6680; for thou shalt dieH4191, and not liveH2421. 2Then he turnedH5437 his faceH6440 to the wallH7023, and prayedH6419 unto the LORDH3068, sayingH0559, 3I beseechH0577 thee, O LORDH3068, rememberH2142 now how I have walkedH1980 beforeH6440 thee in truthH0571 and with a perfectH8003 heartH3824, and have doneH6213 that which is goodH2896 in thy sightH5869. And HezekiahH2396 weptH1058 soreH1419. 4And it came to pass, afore IsaiahH3470 was gone outH3318 into the middleH8484 courtH2691, that the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 came to him, sayingH0559, 5Turn againH7725, and tellH0559 HezekiahH2396 the captainH5057 of my peopleH5971, Thus saithH0559 the LORDH3068, the GodH0430 of DavidH1732 thy fatherH0001, I have heardH8085 thy prayerH8605, I have seenH7200 thy tearsH1832: behold, I will healH7495 thee: on the thirdH7992 dayH3117 thou shalt go upH5927 unto the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068. 6And I will addH3254 unto thy daysH3117 fifteenH2568 yearsH8141; and I will deliverH5337 thee and this cityH5892 out of the handH3709 of the kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804; and I will defendH1598 this cityH5892 for mine own sake, and for my servantH5650 DavidsH1732 sake. 7And IsaiahH3470 saidH0559, TakeH3947 a lumpH1690 of figsH8384. And they tookH3947 and laidH7760 it on the boilH7822, and he recoveredH2421.

8And HezekiahH2396 saidH0559 unto IsaiahH3470, What shall be the signH0226 that the LORDH3068 will healH7495 me, and that I shall go upH5927 into the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068 the thirdH7992 dayH3117? 9And IsaiahH3470 saidH0559, This signH0226 shalt thou have of the LORDH3068, that the LORDH3068 will doH6213 the thingH1697 that he hath spokenH1696: shall the shadowH6738 go forwardH1980 tenH6235 degreesH4609, or go backH7725 tenH6235 degreesH4609? 10And HezekiahH3169 answeredH0559, It is a light thingH7043 for the shadowH6738 to go downH5186 tenH6235 degreesH4609: nay, but let the shadowH6738 returnH7725 backwardH0322 tenH6235 degreesH4609. 11And IsaiahH3470 the prophetH5030 criedH7121 unto the LORDH3068: and he broughtH7725 the shadowH6738 tenH6235 degreesH4609 backwardH0322, byH4609 which it had gone downH3381 in the dialH4609 of AhazH0271.

12At that timeH6256 Berodach-baladanH1255, the sonH1121 of BaladanH1081, kingH4428 of BabylonH0894, sentH7971 lettersH5612 and a presentH4503 unto HezekiahH2396: for he had heardH8085 that HezekiahH2396 had been sickH2470. 13And HezekiahH2396 hearkenedH8085 unto them, and shewedH7200 them all the houseH1004 of his precious thingsH5238, the silverH3701, and the goldH2091, and the spicesH1314, and the preciousH2896 ointmentH8081, and all the houseH1004 of his armourH3627, and all that was foundH4672 in his treasuresH0214: there was nothingH1697 in his houseH1004, nor in all his dominionH4475, that HezekiahH2396 shewedH7200 them not.

14Then cameH0935 IsaiahH3470 the prophetH5030 unto kingH4428 HezekiahH2396, and saidH0559 unto him, What saidH0559 these menH0582? and from whenceH0370 cameH0935 they unto thee? And HezekiahH2396 saidH0559, They are comeH0935 from a farH7350 countryH0776, even from BabylonH0894. 15And he saidH0559, What have they seenH7200 in thine houseH1004? And HezekiahH2396 answeredH0559, All the things that are in mine houseH1004 have they seenH7200: there is nothingH1697 among my treasuresH0214 that I have not shewedH7200 them. 16And IsaiahH3470 saidH0559 unto HezekiahH2396, HearH8085 the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068. 17Behold, the daysH3117 comeH0935, that all that is in thine houseH1004, and that which thy fathersH0001 have laid up in storeH0686 unto this dayH3117, shall be carriedH5375 into BabylonH0894: nothingH1697 shall be leftH3498, saithH0559 the LORDH3068. 18And of thy sonsH1121 that shall issueH3318 from thee, which thou shalt begetH3205, shall they take awayH3947; and they shall be eunuchsH5631 in the palaceH1964 of the kingH4428 of BabylonH0894. 19Then saidH0559 HezekiahH2396 unto IsaiahH3470, GoodH2896 is the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 which thou hast spokenH1696. And he saidH0559, Is it not good , if peaceH7965 and truthH0571 be in my daysH3117?

20And the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of HezekiahH2396, and all his mightH1369, and how he madeH6213 a poolH1295, and a conduitH8585, and broughtH0935 waterH4325 into the cityH5892, are they not writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of the chroniclesH1697 of the kingsH4428 of JudahH3063? 21And HezekiahH2396 sleptH7901 with his fathersH0001: and ManassehH4519 his sonH1121 reignedH4427 in his stead.

2 Kings: Chapter 21

1 ManassehH4519 was twelveH8147 yearsH8141 oldH1121 when he began to reignH4427, and reignedH4427 fiftyH2572 and fiveH2568 yearsH8141 in JerusalemH3389. And his mothersH0517 nameH8034 was Hephzi-bahH2657. 2And he didH6213 that which was evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068, after the abominationsH8441 of the heathenH1471, whom the LORDH3068 cast outH3423 beforeH6440 the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478. 3For he built upH1129 againH7725 the high placesH1116 which HezekiahH2396 his fatherH0001 had destroyedH0006; and he reared upH6965 altarsH4196 for BaalH1168, and madeH6213 a groveH0842, as didH6213 AhabH0256 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478; and worshippedH7812 all the hostH6635 of heavenH8064, and servedH5647 them. 4And he builtH1129 altarsH4196 in the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, of which the LORDH3068 saidH0559, In JerusalemH3389 will I putH7760 my nameH8034. 5And he builtH1129 altarsH4196 for all the hostH6635 of heavenH8064 in the twoH8147 courtsH2691 of the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068. 6And he made his sonH1121 passH5674 through the fireH0784, and observed timesH6049, and used enchantmentsH5172, and dealtH6213 with familiar spiritsH0178 and wizardsH3049: he wroughtH6213 muchH7235 wickednessH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068, to provoke him to angerH3707. 7And he setH7760 a graven imageH6459 of the groveH0842 that he had madeH6213 in the houseH1004, of which the LORDH3068 saidH0559 to DavidH1732, and to SolomonH8010 his sonH1121, In this houseH1004, and in JerusalemH3389, which I have chosenH0977 out of all tribesH7626 of IsraelH3478, will I putH7760 my nameH8034 for everH5769: 8Neither will I make the feetH7272 of IsraelH3478 moveH5110 any moreH3254 out of the landH0127 which I gaveH5414 their fathersH0001; only if they will observeH8104 to doH6213 according to all that I have commandedH6680 them, and according to all the lawH8451 that my servantH5650 MosesH4872 commandedH6680 them. 9But they hearkenedH8085 not: and ManassehH4519 seducedH8582 them to doH6213 more evilH7451 than did the nationsH1471 whom the LORDH3068 destroyedH8045 beforeH6440 the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478.

10And the LORDH3068 spakeH1696 byH3027 his servantsH5650 the prophetsH5030, sayingH0559, 11Because ManassehH4519 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 hath doneH6213 these abominationsH8441, and hath done wickedlyH7489 above all that the AmoritesH0567 didH6213, which were beforeH6440 him, and hath made JudahH3063 also to sinH2398 with his idolsH1544: 12Therefore thus saithH0559 the LORDH3068 GodH0430 of IsraelH3478, Behold, I am bringingH0935 such evilH7451 upon JerusalemH3389 and JudahH3063, that whosoever hearethH8085 of it, bothH8147 his earsH0241 shall tingleH6750. 13And I will stretchH5186 over JerusalemH3389 the lineH6957 of SamariaH8111, and the plummetH4949 of the houseH1004 of AhabH0256: and I will wipeH4229 JerusalemH3389 as a man wipethH4229 a dishH6747, wipingH4229 it , and turningH2015 it upside downH6440. 14And I will forsakeH5203 the remnantH7611 of mine inheritanceH5159, and deliverH5414 them into the handH3027 of their enemiesH0341; and they shall become a preyH0957 and a spoilH4933 to all their enemiesH0341; 15Because they have doneH6213 that which was evilH7451 in my sightH5869, and have provokedH4480 me to angerH3707, since the dayH3117 their fathersH0001 came forthH3318 out of EgyptH4714, even unto this dayH3117. 16Moreover ManassehH4519 shedH8210 innocentH5355 bloodH1818 veryH3966 muchH7235, till he had filledH4390 JerusalemH3389 from one endH6310 to anotherH6310; beside his sinH2403 wherewith he made JudahH3063 to sinH2398, in doingH6213 that which was evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068.

17Now the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of ManassehH4519, and all that he didH6213, and his sinH2403 that he sinnedH2398, are they not writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of the chroniclesH1697 of the kingsH4428 of JudahH3063? 18And ManassehH4519 sleptH7901 with his fathersH0001, and was buriedH6912 in the gardenH1588 of his own houseH1004, in the gardenH1588 of UzzaH5798: and AmonH0526 his sonH1121 reignedH4427 in his stead.

19 AmonH0526 was twentyH6242 and twoH8147 yearsH8141 oldH1121 when he began to reignH4427, and he reignedH4427 twoH8147 yearsH8141 in JerusalemH3389. And his mothersH0517 nameH8034 was MeshullemethH4922, the daughterH1323 of HaruzH2743 of JotbahH3192. 20And he didH6213 that which was evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068, as his fatherH0001 ManassehH4519 didH6213. 21And he walkedH3212 in all the wayH1870 that his fatherH0001 walked inH1980, and servedH5647 the idolsH1544 that his fatherH0001 servedH5647, and worshippedH7812 them: 22And he forsookH5800 the LORDH3068 GodH0430 of his fathersH0001, and walkedH1980 not in the wayH1870 of the LORDH3068.

23And the servantsH5650 of AmonH0526 conspiredH7194 against him, and slewH4191 the kingH4428 in his own houseH1004. 24And the peopleH5971 of the landH0776 slewH5221 all them that had conspiredH7194 against kingH4428 AmonH0526; and the peopleH5971 of the landH0776 made JosiahH2977 his sonH1121 kingH4427 in his stead. 25Now the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of AmonH0526 which he didH6213, are they not writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of the chroniclesH1697 of the kingsH4428 of JudahH3063? 26And he was buriedH6912 in his sepulchreH6900 in the gardenH1588 of UzzaH5798: and JosiahH2977 his sonH1121 reignedH4427 in his stead.

2 Kings: Chapter 22

1 JosiahH2977 was eightH8083 yearsH8141 oldH1121 when he began to reignH4427, and he reignedH4427 thirtyH7970 and oneH0259 yearsH8141 in JerusalemH3389. And his mothersH0517 nameH8034 was JedidahH3040, the daughterH1323 of AdaiahH5718 of BoscathH1218. 2And he didH6213 that which was rightH3477 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068, and walkedH3212 in all the wayH1870 of DavidH1732 his fatherH0001, and turned not asideH5493 to the right handH3225 or to the leftH8040.

3And it came to pass in the eighteenthH8083 yearH8141 of kingH4428 JosiahH2977, that the kingH4428 sentH7971 ShaphanH8227 the sonH1121 of AzaliahH0683, the sonH1121 of MeshullamH4918, the scribeH5608, to the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, sayingH0559, 4Go upH5927 to HilkiahH2518 the highH1419 priestH3548, that he may sumH8552 the silverH3701 which is broughtH0935 into the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, which the keepersH8104 of the doorH5592 have gatheredH0622 of the peopleH5971: 5And let them deliverH5414 it into the handH3027 of the doersH6213 of the workH4399, that have the oversightH6485 of the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068: and let them giveH5414 it to the doersH6213 of the workH4399 which is in the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, to repairH2388 the breachesH0919 of the houseH1004, 6Unto carpentersH2796, and buildersH1129, and masonsH1443, and to buyH7069 timberH6086 and hewnH4274 stoneH0068 to repairH2388 the houseH1004. 7Howbeit there was no reckoning madeH2803 with them of the moneyH3701 that was deliveredH5414 into their handH3027, because they dealtH6213 faithfullyH0530.

8And HilkiahH2518 the highH1419 priestH3548 saidH0559 unto ShaphanH8227 the scribeH5608, I have foundH4672 the bookH5612 of the lawH8451 in the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068. And HilkiahH2518 gaveH5414 the bookH5612 to ShaphanH8227, and he readH7121 it. 9And ShaphanH8227 the scribeH5608 cameH0935 to the kingH4428, and broughtH7725 the kingH4428 wordH1697 againH7725, and saidH0559, Thy servantsH5650 have gatheredH5413 the moneyH3701 that was foundH4672 in the houseH1004, and have deliveredH5414 it into the handH3027 of them that doH6213 the workH4399, that have the oversightH6485 of the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068. 10And ShaphanH8227 the scribeH5608 shewedH5046 the kingH4428, sayingH0559, HilkiahH2518 the priestH3548 hath deliveredH5414 me a bookH5612. And ShaphanH8227 readH7121 it beforeH6440 the kingH4428.

11And it came to pass, when the kingH4428 had heardH8085 the wordsH1697 of the bookH5612 of the lawH8451, that he rentH7167 his clothesH0899. 12And the kingH4428 commandedH6680 HilkiahH2518 the priestH3548, and AhikamH0296 the sonH1121 of ShaphanH8227, and AchborH5907 the sonH1121 of MichaiahH4320, and ShaphanH8227 the scribeH5608, and AsahiahH6222 a servantH5650 of the kingsH4428, sayingH0559, 13GoH3212 ye, enquireH1875 of the LORDH3068 for me, and for the peopleH5971, and for all JudahH3063, concerning the wordsH1697 of this bookH5612 that is foundH4672: for greatH1419 is the wrathH2534 of the LORDH3068 that is kindledH3341 against us, because our fathersH0001 have not hearkenedH8085 unto the wordsH1697 of this bookH5612, to doH6213 according unto all that which is writtenH3789 concerning us. 14So HilkiahH2518 the priestH3548, and AhikamH0296, and AchborH5907, and ShaphanH8227, and AsahiahH6222, wentH3212 unto HuldahH2468 the prophetessH5031, the wifeH0802 of ShallumH7967 the sonH1121 of TikvahH8616, the sonH1121 of HarhasH2745, keeperH8104 of the wardrobeH0899; (now she dweltH3427 in JerusalemH3389 in the collegeH4932;) and they communedH1696 with her.

15And she saidH0559 unto them, Thus saithH0559 the LORDH3068 GodH0430 of IsraelH3478, TellH0559 the manH0376 that sentH7971 you to me, 16Thus saithH0559 the LORDH3068, Behold, I will bringH0935 evilH7451 upon this placeH4725, and upon the inhabitantsH3427 thereof, even all the wordsH1697 of the bookH5612 which the kingH4428 of JudahH3063 hath readH7121: 17Because they have forsakenH5800 me, and have burned incenseH6999 unto otherH0312 godsH0430, that they might provoke me to angerH3707 with all the worksH4639 of their handsH3027; therefore my wrathH2534 shall be kindledH3341 against this placeH4725, and shall not be quenchedH3518. 18But to the kingH4428 of JudahH3063 which sentH7971 you to enquireH1875 of the LORDH3068, thus shall ye sayH0559 to him, Thus saithH0559 the LORDH3068 GodH0430 of IsraelH3478, As touching the wordsH1697 which thou hast heardH8085; 19Because thine heartH3824 was tenderH7401, and thou hast humbledH3665 thyself beforeH6440 the LORDH3068, when thou heardestH8085 what I spakeH1696 against this placeH4725, and against the inhabitantsH3427 thereof, that they should become a desolationH8047 and a curseH7045, and hast rentH7167 thy clothesH0899, and weptH1058 beforeH6440 me; I also have heardH8085 thee , saithH5002 the LORDH3068. 20Behold therefore, I will gatherH0622 thee unto thy fathersH0001, and thou shalt be gatheredH0622 into thy graveH6913 in peaceH7965; and thine eyesH5869 shall not seeH7200 all the evilH7451 which I will bringH0935 upon this placeH4725. And they broughtH7725 the kingH4428 wordH1697 againH7725.

2 Kings: Chapter 23

1And the kingH4428 sentH7971, and they gatheredH0622 unto him all the eldersH2205 of JudahH3063 and of JerusalemH3389. 2And the kingH4428 went upH5927 into the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, and all the menH0376 of JudahH3063 and all the inhabitantsH3427 of JerusalemH3389 with him, and the priestsH3548, and the prophetsH5030, and all the peopleH5971, both smallH6996 and greatH1419: and he readH7121 in their earsH0241 all the wordsH1697 of the bookH5612 of the covenantH1285 which was foundH4672 in the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068.

3And the kingH4428 stoodH5975 by a pillarH5982, and madeH3772 a covenantH1285 beforeH6440 the LORDH3068, to walkH3212 afterH0310 the LORDH3068, and to keepH8104 his commandmentsH4687 and his testimoniesH5715 and his statutesH2708 with all their heartH3820 and all their soulH5315, to performH6965 the wordsH1697 of this covenantH1285 that were writtenH3789 in this bookH5612. And all the peopleH5971 stoodH5975 to the covenantH1285.

4And the kingH4428 commandedH6680 HilkiahH2518 the highH1419 priestH3548, and the priestsH3548 of the second orderH4932, and the keepersH8104 of the doorH5592, to bring forthH3318 out of the templeH1964 of the LORDH3068 all the vesselsH3627 that were madeH6213 for BaalH1168, and for the groveH0842, and for all the hostH6635 of heavenH8064: and he burnedH8313 them withoutH2351 JerusalemH3389 in the fieldsH7709 of KidronH6939, and carriedH5375 the ashesH6083 of them unto Beth-elH1008. 5And he put downH7673 the idolatrous priestsH3649, whom the kingsH4428 of JudahH3063 had ordainedH5414 to burn incenseH6999 in the high placesH1116 in the citiesH5892 of JudahH3063, and in the places round aboutH4524 JerusalemH3389; them also that burned incenseH6999 unto BaalH1168, to the sunH8121, and to the moonH3394, and to the planetsH4208, and to all the hostH6635 of heavenH8064. 6And he brought outH3318 the groveH0842 from the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, withoutH2351 JerusalemH3389, unto the brookH5158 KidronH6939, and burnedH8313 it at the brookH5158 KidronH6939, and stamped it smallH1854 to powderH6083, and castH7993 the powderH6083 thereof upon the gravesH6913 of the childrenH1121 of the peopleH5971. 7And he brake downH5422 the housesH1004 of the sodomitesH6945, that were by the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, where the womenH0802 woveH0707 hangingsH1004 for the groveH0842. 8And he broughtH0935 all the priestsH3548 out of the citiesH5892 of JudahH3063, and defiledH2930 the high placesH1116 where the priestsH3548 had burned incenseH6999, from GebaH1387 to Beer-shebaH0884, and brake downH5422 the high placesH1116 of the gatesH8179 that were in the entering inH6607 of the gateH8179 of JoshuaH3091 the governorH8269 of the cityH5892, which were on a mansH0376 left handH8040 at the gateH8179 of the cityH5892. 9Nevertheless the priestsH3548 of the high placesH1116 came not upH5927 to the altarH4196 of the LORDH3068 in JerusalemH3389, but they did eatH0398 of the unleavened breadH4682 amongH8432 their brethrenH0251. 10And he defiledH2930 TophethH8612, which is in the valleyH1516 of the childrenH1121 of HinnomH2011, that no manH0376 might make his sonH1121 or his daughterH1323 to pass throughH5674 the fireH0784 to MolechH4432. 11And he took awayH7673 the horsesH5483 that the kingsH4428 of JudahH3063 had givenH5414 to the sunH8121, at the entering inH0935 of the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, by the chamberH3957 of Nathan-melechH5419 the chamberlainH5631, which was in the suburbsH6503, and burnedH8313 the chariotsH4818 of the sunH8121 with fireH0784. 12And the altarsH4196 that were on the topH1406 of the upper chamberH5944 of AhazH0271, which the kingsH4428 of JudahH3063 had madeH6213, and the altarsH4196 which ManassehH4519 had madeH6213 in the twoH8147 courtsH2691 of the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, did the kingH4428 beat downH5422, and brake them downH7323 from thence, and castH7993 the dustH6083 of them into the brookH5158 KidronH6939. 13And the high placesH1116 that were beforeH6440 JerusalemH3389, which were on the right handH3225 of the mountH2022 of corruptionH4889, which SolomonH8010 the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 had buildedH1129 for AshtorethH6253 the abominationH8251 of the ZidoniansH6722, and for ChemoshH3645 the abominationH8251 of the MoabitesH4124, and for MilcomH4445 the abominationH8441 of the childrenH1121 of AmmonH5983, did the kingH4428 defileH2930. 14And he brake in piecesH7665 the imagesH4676, and cut downH3772 the grovesH0842, and filledH4390 their placesH4725 with the bonesH6106 of menH0120.

15Moreover the altarH4196 that was at Beth-elH1008, and the high placeH1116 which JeroboamH3379 the sonH1121 of NebatH5028, who made IsraelH3478 to sinH2398, had madeH6213, both that altarH4196 and the high placeH1116 he brake downH5422, and burnedH8313 the high placeH1116, and stampedH1854 it small to powderH6083, and burnedH8313 the groveH0842. 16And as JosiahH2977 turnedH6437 himself, he spiedH7200 the sepulchresH6913 that were there in the mountH2022, and sentH7971, and tookH3947 the bonesH6106 out of the sepulchresH6913, and burnedH8313 them upon the altarH4196, and pollutedH2930 it, according to the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 which the manH0376 of GodH0430 proclaimedH7121, who proclaimedH7121 these wordsH1697. 17Then he saidH0559, What titleH6725 is thatH1975 that I seeH7200? And the menH0582 of the cityH5892 toldH0559 him, It is the sepulchreH6913 of the manH0376 of GodH0430, which cameH0935 from JudahH3063, and proclaimedH7121 these thingsH1697 that thou hast doneH6213 against the altarH4196 of Beth-elH1008. 18And he saidH0559, Let him aloneH3240; let no manH0376 moveH5128 his bonesH6106. So they let his bonesH6106 aloneH4422, with the bonesH6106 of the prophetH5030 that came outH0935 of SamariaH8111. 19And all the housesH1004 also of the high placesH1116 that were in the citiesH5892 of SamariaH8111, which the kingsH4428 of IsraelH3478 had madeH6213 to provoke the Lord to angerH3707, JosiahH2977 took awayH5493, and didH6213 to them according to all the actsH4639 that he had doneH6213 in Beth-elH1008. 20And he slewH2076 all the priestsH3548 of the high placesH1116 that were there upon the altarsH4196, and burnedH8313 mensH0120 bonesH6106 upon them, and returnedH7725 to JerusalemH3389.

21And the kingH4428 commandedH6680 all the peopleH5971, sayingH0559, KeepH6213 the passoverH6453 unto the LORDH3068 your GodH0430, as it is writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of this covenantH1285. 22Surely there was not holdenH6213 such a passoverH6453 from the daysH3117 of the judgesH8199 that judgedH8199 IsraelH3478, nor in all the daysH3117 of the kingsH4428 of IsraelH3478, nor of the kingsH4428 of JudahH3063; 23But in the eighteenthH8083 yearH8141 of kingH4428 JosiahH2977, wherein this passoverH6453 was holdenH6213 to the LORDH3068 in JerusalemH3389.

24Moreover the workers with familiar spiritsH0178, and the wizardsH3049, and the imagesH8655, and the idolsH1544, and all the abominationsH8251 that were spiedH7200 in the landH0776 of JudahH3063 and in JerusalemH3389, did JosiahH2977 put awayH1197, that he might performH6965 the wordsH1697 of the lawH8451 which were writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 that HilkiahH2518 the priestH3548 foundH4672 in the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068.

25And like unto him was there no kingH4428 beforeH6440 him, that turnedH7725 to the LORDH3068 with all his heartH3824, and with all his soulH5315, and with all his mightH3966, according to all the lawH8451 of MosesH4872; neither afterH0310 him aroseH6965 there any like him.

26Notwithstanding the LORDH3068 turnedH7725 not from the fiercenessH2740 of his greatH1419 wrathH0639, wherewith his angerH0639 was kindledH2734 against JudahH3063, because of all the provocationsH3708 that ManassehH4519 had provokedH3707 him withal. 27And the LORDH3068 saidH0559, I will removeH5493 JudahH3063 also out of my sightH6440, as I have removedH5493 IsraelH3478, and will cast offH3988 this cityH5892 JerusalemH3389 which I have chosenH0977, and the houseH1004 of which I saidH0559, My nameH8034 shall be there. 28Now the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of JosiahH2977, and all that he didH6213, are they not writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of the chroniclesH1697 of the kingsH4428 of JudahH3063?

29In his daysH3117 Pharaoh-nechohH6549 kingH4428 of EgyptH4714 went upH5927 against the kingH4428 of AssyriaH0804 to the riverH5104 EuphratesH6578: and kingH4428 JosiahH2977 wentH3212 againstH7125 him; and he slewH4191 him at MegiddoH4023, when he had seenH7200 him. 30And his servantsH5650 carried him in a chariotH7392 deadH4191 from MegiddoH4023, and broughtH0935 him to JerusalemH3389, and buriedH6912 him in his own sepulchreH6900. And the peopleH5971 of the landH0776 tookH3947 JehoahazH3059 the sonH1121 of JosiahH2977, and anointedH4886 him, and made him kingH4427 in his fathersH0001 stead.

31JehoahazH3059 was twentyH6242 and threeH7969 yearsH8141 oldH1121 when he began to reignH4427; and he reignedH4427 threeH7969 monthsH2320 in JerusalemH3389. And his mothersH0517 nameH8034 was HamutalH2537, the daughterH1323 of JeremiahH3414 of LibnahH3841. 32And he didH6213 that which was evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068, according to all that his fathersH0001 had doneH6213. 33And Pharaoh-nechohH6549 put him in bandsH0631 at RiblahH7247 in the landH0776 of HamathH2574, that he might not reignH4427 in JerusalemH3389; and putH5414 the landH0776 to a tributeH6066 of an hundredH3967 talentsH3603 of silverH3701, and a talentH3603 of goldH2091. 34And Pharaoh-nechohH6549 made EliakimH0471 the sonH1121 of JosiahH2977 kingH4427 in the room of JosiahH2977 his fatherH0001, and turnedH5437 his nameH8034 to JehoiakimH3079, and tookH3947 JehoahazH3059 awayH3947: and he cameH0935 to EgyptH4714, and diedH4191 there. 35And JehoiakimH3079 gaveH5414 the silverH3701 and the goldH2091 to PharaohH6547; but he taxedH6186 the landH0776 to giveH5414 the moneyH3701 according to the commandmentH6310 of PharaohH6547: he exactedH5065 the silverH3701 and the goldH2091 of the peopleH5971 of the landH0776, of every oneH0376 according to his taxationH6187, to giveH5414 it unto Pharaoh-nechohH6549.

36 JehoiakimH3079 was twentyH6242 and fiveH2568 yearsH8141 oldH1121 when he began to reignH4427; and he reignedH4427 elevenH0259 yearsH8141 in JerusalemH3389. And his mothersH0517 nameH8034 was ZebudahH2080, the daughterH1323 of PedaiahH6305 of RumahH7316. 37And he didH6213 that which was evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068, according to all that his fathersH0001 had doneH6213.

2 Kings: Chapter 24

1In his daysH3117 NebuchadnezzarH5019 kingH4428 of BabylonH0894 came upH5927, and JehoiakimH3079 became his servantH5650 threeH7969 yearsH8141: then he turnedH7725 and rebelledH4775 against him. 2And the LORDH3068 sentH7971 against him bandsH1416 of the ChaldeesH3778, and bandsH1416 of the SyriansH0758, and bandsH1416 of the MoabitesH4124, and bandsH1416 of the childrenH1121 of AmmonH5983, and sentH7971 them against JudahH3063 to destroyH0006 it, according to the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068, which he spakeH1696 byH3027 his servantsH5650 the prophetsH5030. 3Surely at the commandmentH6310 of the LORDH3068 came this upon JudahH3063, to removeH5493 them out of his sightH6440, for the sinsH2403 of ManassehH4519, according to all that he didH6213; 4And also for the innocentH5355 bloodH1818 that he shedH8210: for he filledH4390 JerusalemH3389 with innocentH5355 bloodH1818; which the LORDH3068 wouldH0014 not pardonH5545.

5Now the restH3499 of the actsH1697 of JehoiakimH3079, and all that he didH6213, are they not writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of the chroniclesH1697 of the kingsH4428 of JudahH3063? 6So JehoiakimH3079 sleptH7901 with his fathersH0001: and JehoiachinH3078 his sonH1121 reignedH4427 in his stead. 7And the kingH4428 of EgyptH4714 cameH3318 not againH3254 any more out of his landH0776: for the kingH4428 of BabylonH0894 had takenH3947 from the riverH5158 of EgyptH4714 unto the riverH5104 EuphratesH6578 all that pertained to the kingH4428 of EgyptH4714.

8JehoiachinH3078 was eighteenH8083 yearsH8141 oldH1121 when he began to reignH4427, and he reignedH4427 in JerusalemH3389 threeH7969 monthsH2320. And his mothersH0517 nameH8034 was NehushtaH5179, the daughterH1323 of ElnathanH0494 of JerusalemH3389. 9And he didH6213 that which was evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068, according to all that his fatherH0001 had doneH6213.

10At that timeH6256 the servantsH5650 of NebuchadnezzarH5019 kingH4428 of BabylonH0894 came upH5927 against JerusalemH3389, and the cityH5892 was besiegedH0935. 11And NebuchadnezzarH5019 kingH4428 of BabylonH0894 cameH0935 against the cityH5892, and his servantsH5650 did besiegeH6696 it. 12And JehoiachinH3078 the kingH4428 of JudahH3063 went outH3318 to the kingH4428 of BabylonH0894, he, and his motherH0517, and his servantsH5650, and his princesH8269, and his officersH5631: and the kingH4428 of BabylonH0894 tookH3947 him in the eighthH8083 yearH8141 of his reignH4427. 13And he carried outH3318 thence all the treasuresH0214 of the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, and the treasuresH0214 of the kingsH4428 houseH1004, and cut in piecesH7112 all the vesselsH3627 of goldH2091 which SolomonH8010 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 had madeH6213 in the templeH1964 of the LORDH3068, as the LORDH3068 had saidH1696. 14And he carried awayH1540 all JerusalemH3389, and all the princesH8269, and all the mighty menH1368 of valourH2428, even tenH6235 thousandH0505 captivesH1540, and all the craftsmenH2796 and smithsH4525: none remainedH7604, saveH2108 the poorest sortH1803 of the peopleH5971 of the landH0776. 15And he carried awayH1540 JehoiachinH3078 to BabylonH0894, and the kingsH4428 motherH0517, and the kingsH4428 wivesH0802, and his officersH5631, and the mightyH0352 of the landH0776, those carriedH3212 he into captivityH1473 from JerusalemH3389 to BabylonH0894. 16And all the menH0582 of mightH2428, even sevenH7651 thousandH0505, and craftsmenH2796 and smithsH4525 a thousandH0505, all that were strongH1368 and aptH6213 for warH4421, even them the kingH4428 of BabylonH0894 broughtH0935 captiveH1473 to BabylonH0894.

17And the kingH4428 of BabylonH0894 made MattaniahH4983 his fathers brotherH1730 kingH4427 in his stead, and changedH5437 his nameH8034 to ZedekiahH6667. 18 ZedekiahH6667 was twentyH6242 and oneH0259 yearsH8141 oldH1121 when he began to reignH4427, and he reignedH4427 elevenH0259 yearsH8141 in JerusalemH3389. And his mothersH0517 nameH8034 was HamutalH2537, the daughterH1323 of JeremiahH3414 of LibnahH3841. 19And he didH6213 that which was evilH7451 in the sightH5869 of the LORDH3068, according to all that JehoiakimH3079 had doneH6213. 20For through the angerH0639 of the LORDH3068 it came to pass in JerusalemH3389 and JudahH3063, until he had cast them outH7993 from his presenceH6440, that ZedekiahH6667 rebelledH4775 against the kingH4428 of BabylonH0894.

2 Kings: Chapter 25

1And it came to pass in the ninthH8671 yearH8141 of his reignH4427, in the tenthH6224 monthH2320, in the tenthH6218 day of the monthH2320, that NebuchadnezzarH5019 kingH4428 of BabylonH0894 cameH0935, he, and all his hostH2428, against JerusalemH3389, and pitchedH2583 against it; and they builtH1129 fortsH1785 against it round aboutH5439. 2And the cityH5892 was besiegedH0935 unto the eleventhH6249 yearH8141 of kingH4428 ZedekiahH6667. 3And on the ninthH8672 day of the fourth monthH2320 the famineH7458 prevailedH2388 in the cityH5892, and there was no breadH3899 for the peopleH5971 of the landH0776.

4And the cityH5892 was broken upH1234, and all the menH0582 of warH4421 fled by nightH3915 by the wayH1870 of the gateH8179 between two wallsH2346, which is by the kingsH4428 gardenH1588: (now the ChaldeesH3778 were against the cityH5892 round aboutH5439:) and the king wentH3212 the wayH1870 toward the plainH6160. 5And the armyH2428 of the ChaldeesH3778 pursuedH7291 afterH0310 the kingH4428, and overtookH5381 him in the plainsH6160 of JerichoH3405: and all his armyH2428 were scatteredH6327 from him. 6So they tookH8610 the kingH4428, and brought him upH5927 to the kingH4428 of BabylonH0894 to RiblahH7247; and they gaveH1696 judgmentH4941 upon him. 7And they slewH7819 the sonsH1121 of ZedekiahH6667 before his eyesH5869, and put outH5786 the eyesH5869 of ZedekiahH6667, and boundH0631 him with fettersH5178 of brassH5178, and carriedH0935 him to BabylonH0894.

8And in the fifthH2549 monthH2320, on the seventhH7651 day of the monthH2320, which is the nineteenthH8672 yearH8141 of kingH4428 NebuchadnezzarH5019 kingH4428 of BabylonH0894, cameH0935 Nebuzar-adanH5018, captainH7227 of the guardH2876, a servantH5650 of the kingH4428 of BabylonH0894, unto JerusalemH3389: 9And he burntH8313 the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, and the kingsH4428 houseH1004, and all the housesH1004 of JerusalemH3389, and every greatH1419 mans houseH1004 burntH8313 he with fireH0784. 10And all the armyH2428 of the ChaldeesH3778, that were with the captainH7227 of the guardH2876, brake downH5422 the wallsH2346 of JerusalemH3389 round aboutH5439. 11Now the restH3499 of the peopleH5971 that were leftH7604 in the cityH5892, and the fugitivesH5307 that fell awayH5307 to the kingH4428 of BabylonH0894, with the remnantH3499 of the multitudeH1995, did Nebuzar-adanH5018 the captainH7227 of the guardH2876 carry awayH1540. 12But the captainH7227 of the guardH2876 leftH7604 of the poorH1803 of the landH0776 to be vinedressersH3755 and husbandmenH3009. 13And the pillarsH5982 of brassH5178 that were in the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, and the basesH4350, and the brasenH5178 seaH3220 that was in the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, did the ChaldeesH3778 break in piecesH7665, and carriedH5375 the brassH5178 of them to BabylonH0894. 14And the potsH5518, and the shovelsH3257, and the snuffersH4212, and the spoonsH3709, and all the vesselsH3627 of brassH5178 wherewith they ministeredH8334, took they awayH3947. 15And the firepansH4289, and the bowlsH4219, and such things as were of goldH2091, in goldH2091, and of silverH3701, in silverH3701, the captainH7227 of the guardH2876 took awayH3947. 16The twoH8147 pillarsH5982, oneH0259 seaH3220, and the basesH4350 which SolomonH8010 had madeH6213 for the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068; the brassH5178 of all these vesselsH3627 was withoutH3808 weightH4948. 17The heightH6967 of the oneH0259 pillarH5982 was eighteenH8083 cubitsH0520, and the chapiterH3805 upon it was brassH5178: and the heightH6967 of the chapiterH3805 threeH7969 cubitsH0520; and the wreathen workH7639, and pomegranatesH7416 upon the chapiterH3805 round aboutH5439, all of brassH5178: and like unto these had the secondH8145 pillarH5982 with wreathen workH7639.

18And the captainH7227 of the guardH2876 tookH3947 SeraiahH8304 the chiefH7218 priestH3548, and ZephaniahH6846 the secondH4932 priestH3548, and the threeH7969 keepersH8104 of the doorH5592: 19And out of the cityH5892 he tookH3947 anH0259 officerH5631 that was setH6496 over the menH0582 of warH4421, and fiveH2568 menH0582 of them that wereH7200 in the kingsH4428 presenceH6440, which were foundH4672 in the cityH5892, and the principalH8269 scribeH5608 of the hostH6635, which musteredH6633 the peopleH5971 of the landH0776, and threescoreH8346 menH0376 of the peopleH5971 of the landH0776 that were foundH4672 in the cityH5892: 20And Nebuzar-adanH5018 captainH7227 of the guardH2876 tookH3947 these, and broughtH3212 them to the kingH4428 of BabylonH0894 to RiblahH7247: 21And the kingH4428 of BabylonH0894 smoteH5221 them, and slewH4191 them at RiblahH7247 in the landH0776 of HamathH2574. So JudahH3063 was carried awayH1540 out of their landH0127.

22And as for the peopleH5971 that remainedH7604 in the landH0776 of JudahH3063, whom NebuchadnezzarH5019 kingH4428 of BabylonH0894 had leftH7604, even over them he made GedaliahH1436 the sonH1121 of AhikamH0296, the sonH1121 of ShaphanH8227, rulerH6485. 23And when all the captainsH8269 of the armiesH2428, they and their menH0582, heardH8085 that the kingH4428 of BabylonH0894 had made GedaliahH1436 governorH6485, there cameH0935 to GedaliahH1436 to MizpahH4709, even IshmaelH3458 the sonH1121 of NethaniahH5418, and JohananH3110 the sonH1121 of CareahH7143, and SeraiahH8304 the sonH1121 of TanhumethH8576 the NetophathiteH5200, and JaazaniahH2970 the sonH1121 of a MaachathiteH4602, they and their menH0582. 24And GedaliahH1436 swareH7650 to them, and to their menH0582, and saidH0559 unto them, FearH3372 not to be the servantsH5650 of the ChaldeesH3778: dwellH3427 in the landH0776, and serveH5647 the kingH4428 of BabylonH0894; and it shall be wellH3190 with you. 25But it came to pass in the seventhH7637 monthH2320, that IshmaelH3458 the sonH1121 of NethaniahH5418, the sonH1121 of ElishamaH0476, of the seedH2233 royalH4410, cameH0935, and tenH6235 menH0582 with him, and smoteH5221 GedaliahH1436, that he diedH4191, and the JewsH3064 and the ChaldeesH3778 that were with him at MizpahH4709. 26And all the peopleH5971, both smallH6996 and greatH1419, and the captainsH8269 of the armiesH2428, aroseH6965, and cameH0935 to EgyptH4714: for they were afraidH3372 ofH6440 the ChaldeesH3778.

27And it came to pass in the sevenH7651 and thirtiethH7970 yearH8141 of the captivityH1546 of JehoiachinH3078 kingH4428 of JudahH3063, in the twelfthH8147 monthH2320, on the sevenH7651 and twentiethH6242 day of the monthH2320, that Evil-merodachH0192 kingH4428 of BabylonH0894 in the yearH8141 that he began to reignH4427 did lift upH5375 the headH7218 of JehoiachinH3078 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 out of prisonH1004; 28And he spakeH1696 kindlyH2896 to him, and setH5414 his throneH3678 above the throneH3678 of the kingsH4428 that were with him in BabylonH0894; 29And changedH8132 his prisonH3608 garmentsH0899: and he did eatH0398 breadH3899 continuallyH8548 beforeH6440 him all the daysH3117 of his lifeH2416. 30And his allowanceH0737 was a continualH8548 allowanceH0737 givenH5414 him of the kingH4428, a dailyH3117 rateH1697 for every dayH3117, all the daysH3117 of his lifeH2416.
